Ubytování celkem jde,i když je vybavení hodně staré. Nevím kde vzali ty fotky, ale přidejte vybavení tak 30 let používání a to je pak stav hotelu. Fotky jídla jsou taky odjinud, tohle tady rozhodně jist nebudete. Celkem čisto. Bazén pěkný, ale nic v něm nemůžete. Milý personál, který bohužel nezachrání katastrofální jídlo. Snídaně ještě jdou, ale obědy a večeře, to je příšerné. Umělé omáčky, vysušené hořké ryby, navinulá zelenina. Dezerty co chutnají jako když olizujete naftalínový kabát pratety Tessie. Sem radši nejezdit. Jinak ostrov je parádní, pořád je co objevovat. Když pominu ten šílený hotel, tak byla dovolená super.

Hotel Smy - pěkný hotel, menší útulný pokoj klasicky zařízený, lednička není v ceně, je ale možnost za příplatek a v koupelně chybí kelímky, popřípadě skleničky na nápoje na pokoji. Každý den úklid a výměna ručníků, popřípadě čeho je potřeba. Personál milý, ochotný. Koupelna je s fénem. Jediné minus, při polopenzi - při večeři není nárok na pití, musí se kupovat. Jinak jídlo výborné, velký výběr. U hotelu je hřišťátko pro děti a 3 bazény. Jeden u jídelny, tam je i stánek na nápoje a zmrzlinu a další dva jako by o patro výš. Do centra je to cca 5 - 10 minut, též na pláž. Na lepší pláž Playa Jardin se jde cca 15 - 20 min.

This hotel is nice, but I would not say it is 4 stars as portrayed to us. The rooms are nice, and housekeeping keep them tidy. We were disappointed to find there was no tea or coffee facilities in the room. While staying, we unfortunately had some issues with school children making noise in the early hours of the morning and knocking on our doors before running away, it took 3 times of asking for the hotel to finally resolve this. The food is ok. Nothing special, and even though breakfast is open until 10:30, they stop bringing fresh food out at around 9:00. The other disappointing thing about this hotel is there are no water fountains or places to get tap water through the night, they are all switched off. So your only option is to go to the overpriced vending machine to get lukewarm water. The all inclusive bar stops serving at 23:00, and then you must pay. We found at around 22:40 the service becomes very slow, it did feel like somewhat of a ploy to get some more money. From guests. The pools aren’t very clean, near the edges there is a large build up of grime and dirt, that doesn’t feel very nice on your feet. There are no inflatables or ball games allowed. Location is adequate, a short walk down a very steep hill to the sea side and restaurants. But it is a challenging walk back up the hill. The staff were all friendly.

The location of the hotel is brilliant. It lies at the heart of Puerto De la Cruz with restaurants and supermarkets plus bus stops all within very short walking distances. It is also very close to the town centre and the sea with good access to all the local tourist points such as Loro Parque, Jardín Biotinica and many more. The view from the room was lovely and we were able to see mount El-Teide from the balcony. The only downside is that the hotel is located on top of a hill so there is a lot of walking up and down which people with walking difficulties might find it difficult to do. It should not be a problem for most people. We booked a half board. The breakfast was reasonable although some choices were limited. The dinner is not good and does not meet the standards of a 4 star hotel although the dinning room staff were quite friendly. The breakfast was meant to be served at 6:30am but by the time I left the hotel when checking at 06:45am the restaurant was still closed so we missed having any breakfast. The rooms are basic but well maintained and quite clean. The room cleaning service is excellent. The staff at reception are not all welcoming and I got quite a mixed response. When I checked out the lady in reception spoke very little and did not even care to ask about our experience staying in the hotel - no smiles at all. It would be good for this hotel to act on the feedback provided as there is clearly room for improvement.

To start with the positives, the staff were all lovely, the rooms were clean and tidied, the swimming pools were great and the sea views were absolutely beautiful! The only issue I’d say we had was with the food side of things. It wasn’t the food itself but I noticed several dirty plates and cups which was a hygiene concern. Another downside was that there were a lot of school groups staying during our visit. This meant large groups of teenagers crowded the food queues and made both breakfast and dinner feel noisy and chaotic. That said, the hotel is still lovely and is a great base if you’re planning to spend most of your time exploring North Tenerife. It’s also great for discovering the beautiful beaches and enjoying the fantastic restaurants and cafés nearby. It’s a good choice if you’re not expecting the all-inclusive food to be a highlight.
