- • Velmi ochotný a milý personál
- • Bohaté a chutné snídaně
- • Dobrá poloha v docházkové vzdálenosti od pláží a centra
- • Pěkný bazén a areál
- • Čisté a zrekonstruované pokoje (v hlavní budově)
Vytýkají
- • Výskyt švábů v pokojích a prostorách hotelu
- • Nespolehlivá čistota a úklid
- • Hluk z chodeb a nedostatečná zvuková izolace
- • Problémy s kvalitou a bezpečností stravy
- • Starší vybavení některých pokojů a nedostatek zásuvek
- Doprava
- Odhadovaná doba cesty z letiště Tenerife Jih (TFS) činí přibližně 20 minut.

Aeryn Carpenter4/5 · 2026-03Review: Catalonia Oro Negro, Tenerife We had a really good stay at the Catalonia Oro Negro hotel in Tenerife and overall would definitely recommend it. The service from the reception staff throughout the stay was excellent. Check-in was quick and easy, and the team were always helpful whenever we needed anything. One thing to note is that pool towels require a €10 cash deposit each, which you exchange for a token. The safe in the room also costs €3 per day — you pay at reception and they provide a code to activate it. The hallway leading to our room felt a bit tired and quite dark, and could definitely benefit from brighter lighting as it doesn’t give the best first impression. However, once we got into the room it was a completely different story. Our room was clearly recently renovated and finished to a really good standard. The bathroom was gorgeous, with a huge walk-in shower and excellent lighting. We stayed on the 8th floor and had a wraparound balcony, which was a highlight. It gave us lovely sea views as well as views of the volcano, which made it a great spot to sit and relax. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable we’ve slept in, but it was perfectly fine and we still slept well. Housekeeping came daily and towels were changed every day, which was great. The hotel also has a very nice pool area, and there’s a rooftop pool available for an extra charge (I believe), although we didn’t feel the need to use it during our stay. Location-wise, the hotel is well placed. It’s about a 10–15 minute walk to the Golden Mile and there are plenty of restaurants and places to eat nearby. We booked half board but ended up eating out every day, so unfortunately can’t comment on the food at the hotel. The only real downside for us was the noise from the road. Even with the balcony doors fully closed, it still sounded like they were open. It’s quite a busy road so there is consistent traffic noise. Aside from that, though, we had a very good stay. Overall, a great hotel with friendly staff, modern renovated rooms and a good location. Despite the road noise, we would happily stay here again.
Gidi Poraz1/5 · 2026-02My advice is to find another hotel if you have specific health or accessibility needs. We booked two standard rooms with bathtubs for medical reasons, but upon arrival, we were given two tiny rooms (half the size) with only showers. The hotel staff showed no flexibility and simply said they were 'full.' If you are looking for a hotel that honors its reservations and cares about its guests' health requirements, look elsewhere. There are many other hotels in the area that are more reliable and professional.
Charly McQuillan4/5 · 2026-01We stayed here for 4 nights. Accessing the hotel by public transport was easy, and it was in walking distance to everything we needed. Staff were nice and we didn’t have any issues. Room wasn’t anything special but it was spacious and clean. Balcony was nice. Bathroom was very small but was still good. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, they had everything you could think of. The pool was good.
rory gordon5/5 · 2026-06We visited the Catalonia Ore Negro at the end of May . We had a fantastic stay for 9 nights . Yes there was some works going on around one of the terraces . But this was well managed. The reception staff were excellent . Elizabet was very very helpfull. Our room was in the main block overlooking the pool area and a panoramic view of Las Americas , the room was very very clean. The breakfasts were superb , special mention to the young lady who makes the omlettes and delicous fried eggs . The restaurant staff are excellant. Special mentions to Camino & SR Mela and not forgetting David. The evening meals are good , but we do eat out a couple of times. There is always lots going on at the hotel round the pool and in the lounge at night. Led by the superb entertainment leaders , Karin & Noel. We shall definately return this year.
Doina5/5 · 2026-04I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Catalonia Oro Negro—it exceeded my expectations for a 3-star hotel. The room was very well maintained, with bed sheets and towels changed daily. Everything felt clean and comfortable throughout my stay. The reception staff were incredibly helpful and polite; every time I needed assistance, they responded quickly and efficiently. At one point, I accidentally locked my suitcase, and they arranged a technician who arrived with tools in less than five minutes—impressive service! The pool area was spotless, and I could see from my balcony that it was cleaned every morning. The food offered a good variety, and the restaurant and bar staff were not only polite but also friendly and fun, making both me and my young son feel very welcome. I also appreciated the honesty of the staff—despite accidentally leaving several items in the room, nothing went missing, which really reassured me after reading some negative reviews beforehand. There was entertainment every evening, including singers and magicians, which added a nice touch to our stay. The location is also very convenient: just a 5-minute walk to the beach, about 10 minutes to the main bus station, and with shops nearby. Overall, this hotel offered more than I expected, and I would happily recommend it to others.
Amber Elderfield1/5 · 2026-07one of the worst hotels we’ve ever stayed in. This is nowhere near a 3 star hotel and honestly feels more like a 1-star hostel. We booked a room with a double bed as a couple but were given two single beds. Reception eventually changed it after a long wait, but it felt like we were inconveniencing them. The food was disgusting. We gave it three chances before giving up. The buffet smelled awful, flies were landing on the food, the bread was rock hard, sausages were undercooked, bacon was slimy, and the ingredients were very poor quality. We ended up with upset stomachs and had to spend more money eating elsewhere. The cocktails were terrible, made with cheap alcohol and no professionalism. Staff were rude, unwelcoming and seemed like they didn’t want to be there. Housekeeping only came if we requested it at reception. The Wi-Fi barely worked, meaning Netflix wouldn’t work on the TV for our entire 6-night stay. The air conditioning was filthy and hardly cooled the room. Only one lift worked, so we were constantly waiting. Getting a sunbed every morning was a battle, and the evening entertainment was poor and mainly aimed at young children despite most guests being adults. To top it off, breakfast included drinks, but at dinner you couldn’t even get a glass of water without paying. Save your money and stay somewhere else. I would never return or recommend this hotel.Absolutely one of the worst hotels we’ve ever stayed in. This is nowhere near a 3star hotel and honestly feels more like a 1-star hostel.
