While this hotel is part of the Marriott Bonvoy program, it provides virtually no meaningful recognition or benefits for Marriott elite members. Don't expect upgrades, special treatment, or status acknowledgment. That's particularly disappointing because the property clearly has the facilities to do so, including an excellent breakfast and a lounge. The hotel itself is trendy, modern, and located within walking distance of the Sagrada Família, making it convenient for sightseeing. The gym and spa staff were great and deserve recognition. However, the pricing is not as impressive. They offer a 20% discount if you book spa services directly at the hotel, but there is no discount if you book online, which feels inconsistent and frustrating. The rooftop dining experience was not to my taste. The food felt more geared toward a European interpretation of American-style dining rather than showcasing traditional Catalan cuisine. As an American visiting Barcelona to experience local culture and food, this was disappointing. Overall, I would not recommend this property to Marriott members expecting loyalty recognition, nor to travelers seeking an authentic Barcelona experience. Personally, I would not return. For Marriott guests, I believe the W Barcelona offers better overall value, although it is in a different location.

I cannot recommend this hotel. I was robbed right in front of the hotel entrance, and what disappointed me the most was not only the robbery itself, but the complete lack of assistance from the hotel staff. Before leaving, I asked for my car so I could load my luggage. The staff simply brought the car to the front entrance and left it there. No valet or staff member offered to help me with my bags. While I was loading my luggage by myself, a group of thieves stole my backpack. Had a staff member been assisting me with my luggage, as you would expect from a hotel of this standard, this incident could very likely have been prevented. What happened afterward was even more disappointing. The hotel showed no empathy or concern. They did not help me contact the police, did not offer any practical assistance, and simply told me there was nothing they could do. As a guest, I expected at least basic support after such a traumatic experience. Instead, I felt completely abandoned. If guest safety and customer care are important to you, I would strongly recommend choosing a different hotel.

Location of the hotel in the city is great and the design aesthetic of the hotel overall is very unique and interesting. The hotel is advertised as a 5-star establishment but unfortunately my experience did not reflect this at all. - I arrived hours after the official check-in time but my room was still not ready. I was offered a free drink at the rooftop bar while I waited, and the bar staff were quite rude. - I received no offer of assistance to move my luggage to my room from storage after I was told the room was ready. - The next morning I was told that my information had not been taken down correctly by the front desk and that they needed to process my reservation again. This has never happened with any of my bookings through Marriott. - Room amenities were lacking (no slippers, no basic toiletries, etc) and the design of the room was strange, having to walk across the whole room from the water closet to the bathroom sink. - Twice during my stay, I was questioned upon walking through the lobby if I was in fact staying at the hotel. It felt strange to be questioned in this way while holding my room key to tap into the elevator. Overall I would not recommend the hotel if you are expecting 5-star service.

Good location. Beautiful room. Shutters that make the room perfectly dark. Great! That said, at 700/night, we're in a class of luxury travel where I expect the room to be quiet (and not hear street noise all night). I'd think there'd be a turndown service, a light switch by the door, outlets by the desk and bed so we can plug in chargers and the provided coffee machine. Squeaky clean bathroom floors... Basically, serenity. This place is not quite there!

I normally stay at the Barcelona EDITION, but decided to switch it up a bit...and Im SUPER happy I did. The location is amazing! The staff are incredibly accommodating! The food at Mr. Porter, and even the Rooftop are top notch...I visit Barcelona every couple of weeks, and this is DEFINITELY my new home in Barcelona!

We really loved staying there. The room was excellent, the food, drinks and the service in the lobby restaurant was also excellent. The check-in was easy and the front desk folks were very kind and helpful. The rooftop also gets 5 stars as the food, drinks and service were also excellent. The location was very convenient. A very pleasurable visit.
