I had high expectations for Donna Portals, but unfortunately this felt like a 4-star hotel at best rather than a true 5-star experience. The location is excellent, and the rooms themselves are modern, comfortable, and well-designed. Those were the highlights of our stay. Where the hotel fell short was the service and dining experience. The only restaurant felt consistently disorganized. Service was slow throughout our stay, and food often took around 45 minutes to arrive, sometimes coming out cold. The quality was also inconsistent and well below what you would expect at this price point. Pool service was another disappointment, there was no waiter service available, so guests had to order directly from the bar themselves, which isn't what I'd expect from a luxury hotel. The room service breakfast was particularly poor. It arrived sloppily put together and was inedible. We ended up sending it back, which was disappointing given that breakfast is usually one of the easiest things for a hotel to get right. Another issue was the bedding. The pillows were so flat that they barely provided any support, making for an uncomfortable night's sleep. Overall, while I genuinely enjoyed the location and the rooms, the service, food quality, and attention to detail simply don't justify the price or the hotel's 5-star rating.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolute Wohlfühloase auf Mallorca Ich komme nun schon seit vielen Jahren ins Donna Hotel und aus gutem Grund. Mallorca hat viele wunderschöne Hotels, darunter auch zahlreiche 5-Sterne-Häuser. Für mich ist das Donna Hotel jedoch etwas ganz Besonderes, weil hier einfach alles stimmig ist. Die direkte Lage am Strand ist einzigartig. Man hat fast das Gefühl, über dem Wasser zu wohnen. Das gesamte Hotel ist modern, hell, stilvoll und außergewöhnlich sauber. Besonders der Rooftop-Pool ist ein wunderschöner Ort zum Entspannen mit traumhaftem Ausblick. Was dieses Hotel aber wirklich auszeichnet, ist das gesamte Team. Jeder Mitarbeiter ist unglaublich aufmerksam, herzlich und bemüht, den Aufenthalt perfekt zu machen. Ob Shuttle-Service nach Puerto Portals oder zum e-bike Shop, Restaurantreservierungen oder das abwechslungsreiche tägliche Sportprogramm. Hier wird einem wirklich jeder Wunsch erfüllt. Ein besonderes Dankeschön möchte ich an Pepi, Antonio, Rosa richten, die sich jederzeit mit großer Herzlichkeit und Engagement um all unsere Anliegen gekümmert haben. Auch die kostenlosen SUP-Boards haben wir ausprobiert und hatten dabei unglaublich viel Spaß! Ein tolles Extra, das den Urlaub noch schöner macht. Ein ganz besonderer Dank gilt außerdem Gonzalez und Lola am Pool. Trotz der großen Hitze auf der Dachterrasse waren beide jeden Tag gut gelaunt, herzlich und aufmerksam. Als ich mir den Fuß verletzt hatte, haben sie sich täglich liebevoll darum gekümmert und immer nachgefragt, wie es mir geht. Solche Mitarbeiter machen den Unterschied und tragen ganz wesentlich dazu bei, dass man sich als Gast rundum wohlfühlen und vor allem Zuhause in einem anderen Land fühlt. Auch kulinarisch lässt das Hotel keine Wünsche offen. Das Essen ist ausgezeichnet und rundet das Gesamterlebnis perfekt ab. Selbst wenn der Strand einmal voller sein sollte, findet man am Pool immer genügend Platz, um in Ruhe zu entspannen. Und selbst bei schlechtem Wetter wird einem nicht langweilig. Der Wellnessbereich ist hervorragend. Besonders bedanken möchte ich mich bei Noi der Spa-Managerin für eine wunderbare Gesichtsbehandlung. Ich habe mich danach rundum erholt gefühlt und bin mit einem strahlenden Teint aus dem Spa gegangen. Man merkt sofort, dass hier mit hochwertigen Produkten gearbeitet wird und Qualität an erster Stelle steht. Im Donna Hotel wird an nichts gespart. Man spürt in jedem Detail, mit wie viel Liebe, Leidenschaft und Qualitätsbewusstsein das Hotel geführt wird. Ein herzliches Dankeschön an das gesamte Team, für die außergewöhnliche Gastfreundschaft und den hervorragenden Service. Genau diese Menschen sind der Grund, warum ich immer wieder gerne zurückkomme. Richtig schönes Hotel, wir haben uns von Anfang an super wohlgefühlt! 😍 Das Penthouse Zimmer war echt ein Highlight, total gemütlich, stilvoll und einfach ein Traum. Auch der Spa Bereich war mega. Die Massagen und Treatments waren richtig gut und perfekt zum Abschalten. Genau das, was man sich wünscht, um mal komplett runterzukommen. Was aber wirklich besonders war: das Personal. Alle waren total freundlich, aufmerksam und haben sich echt Mühe gegeben, dass man sich wohlfühlt, das merkt man einfach. Wir hatten eine richtig tolle Zeit und kommen auf jeden Fall gerne wieder!

The staff have been brilliant during our stay in the hotel and highly recommend them for their service. They gave us great recommendations on where to go and eat in Porto nous but also Palma and Sollier.

A truly unforgettable stay at The Donna Portals: We spent a week here celebrating our engagement, and from the moment we arrived, the team made it feel special in every possible way. Pepi was the absolute star of the trip — exceptionally attentive, effortlessly funny, and genuinely invested in making sure we had the best time. She brought so much joy to our stay and is a huge credit to the hotel. Talia at the bar was equally wonderful: warm, helpful, and always ready with a smile. We also loved chatting Spanish with the pool team, and the lifeguard was top class — friendly, funny, and made every day by the pool even better. A big shoutout to the bell boys Mikel, Hamdi, and Samuel, who were all brilliant from start to finish. The food across the hotel was exquisite — from the Iberico ham to the gambas, the croquetas, the burger… everything was consistently delicious and beautifully presented. The location is perfect too: peaceful, scenic, and close to everything you’d want. It was a pleasure spending our engagement week here, and we left with memories we’ll treasure forever. We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Donna Portals Mallorca. The hotel is beautifully designed, modern, elegant, and perfectly located with stunning sea views. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, making it easy to relax and enjoy every moment. What truly made our stay exceptional was the outstanding service. A special thank you to Pepi Rodriguez and Munteanu Cosim who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for throughout our visit. Her kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail made a real difference and turned a great stay into an unforgettable experience. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of fresh options, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was peaceful and luxurious.
