Das erste Zimmer hat von der Kanalisation gestunken. Nächsten Morgen war das Personal so freundlich und hat mir ein anderes gegeben. Doch die Zimmer sind für den Preis eine Frechheit. Kein Kasten, äußerst klein und das Fenster geht in den Innenhof, der aber nicht größer als ein Schacht ist. Es hat einen Steinboden, der sehr kalt war. Das Frühstück mittelmäßig, der Speck nicht knusprig. Nein ich kann das Hotel nicht weiterempfehlen. Das Personal war im Rahmen seiner Möglichkeiten sehr bemüht.

Je voulais vous laisser une bonne note, mais j’ai été très déçu. J’ai séjourné dans cet hôtel et, dès 9 h du matin, le personnel de ménage est venu frapper et ouvrir la porte de la chambre, ce qui m’a beaucoup dérangé. De plus, le restaurant ne m’a pas donné une bonne impression. En revanche, les bouées étaient bien disponibles et comprises dans la réservation, ce qui est un point positif. Malheureusement, dans l’ensemble, mon expérience n’a pas été à la hauteur de mes attentes. Je ne reviendrai plus dans cet hôtel.

DO NOT STAY AT SKY LARK HOTEL IN ATHENS. This was one of the worst travel experiences we have ever had. The hotel is located in Omonia, which turned out to be the worst area we visited in Athens. The streets around the hotel felt extremely unsafe, especially at night. There were people using drugs, suspicious activity everywhere, and as a couple we did not feel comfortable or secure at all. IF YOU ARE A COUPLE, AVOID THIS PLACE. IT DOES NOT FEEL SAFE. We arrived by car expecting convenient parking, but the parking area was nowhere near the hotel and was not even owned by the hotel. We had to carry our heavy luggage for a long distance through unsafe streets because driving directly to the entrance was not practical. As soon as we saw the area, we decided we did not want to stay there. We asked the hotel if they could refund us, even partially, but they refused and said it was Booking.com’s responsibility. Booking then referred us back to the hotel. In the end, nobody took responsibility and we lost around €600. The entire situation felt like a scam. The photos and description did not reflect the reality of the location. We paid a lot of money for a stay that we could not even use because we genuinely did not feel safe. I would never book this hotel again and would strongly advise other travelers to choose a different area of Athens.

First off, the location is a little shady, which I can live with, but the photos make it seem like a luxury 5 star experience. The rooms are very small, and the decor is dark, dated, and almost scary. The worst part is that the toilets reek of sewage. It leaks out into the room. I went out and bought toilet deodorant sticks since we were staying for several days, but these did nothing. I would not recommend staying here, and it is not a 4 or 5 star, or whatever they advertise it as.

This area is quite sketchy and feels unsafe. It is loud with traffic and cars honking, which I can hear through the glass door leading out to the balcony. I had switched my other hotel booking to this one, seeing it was rated a 4.1 and would be better. But it really is not. The pool on the roof was a big sell for me. But it is only 0.7m deep, you cannot swim in it, just lay flat. I regret booking this hotel and wish I had stayed elsewhere, mainly because of the area. If you are sensitive to noise, ask for a room facing away from the street. When I moved to another room the noise was reduced significantly. The staff at check in have been very nice and friendly. The style of the hotel is nice. The hotel breakfast was very good.

We enjoyed 4 nights at this lovely hotel. Our room was fairly small, but comfortable. Toiletries were provided and smelt lovely, tea and coffee is also provided. The bed was very comfortable. We used the rooftop pool and bar with views of the Acropolis and the sunset. The food at the rooftop bar was very good with a good view of the Acropolis and the sunset. The team working at the rooftop bar are amazing! The pool is a nice addition. There was a large selection at breakfast. Hot breakfast choices, yogurts, pastries, salads, teas coffees, juices, water... The location is also good with the metro and bustops close by. I hope to return some day.
