The divani palace is great. The location is both practical and breathtaking, while the rooms are meticulously designed. The view from, and the food at, the rooftop bar was definitely a highlight from the experience. The view of the Athenian sunset with the backdrop of the ancient Acropolis is so unique and magical. Additionally, the hotel is just a short walk away from the beautiful streets of Plaka. The rooms are will equipped, and the attention to detail is notable. The room even included a steamer which was very practical. Furthermore, the staff especially at the concierge were very helpful, welcoming and accommodating. Would recommend Divani Palace!

I wouldn’t categorize this hotel as a 5 star hotel because the interior and the rooms are quite dated. Especially in the bathroom you will notice the age of the hotel with rust and dirty grout in areas. However, the hotel has its other advantages. The location is convenient with the Acropolis and restaurants being about 10 mins away. The breakfast has a pretty good spread (eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, yogurt, fresh squeezed juices). It would have been nice to have a rotation of foods especially if you’re there for few days. Other downsides: There isn’t convenient access to drinking water or ice. You have to ask. There is a thermostat in the room, but it takes a substantial amount of time to cool the room. The mini fridge is fully stocked with beverages so you’re not able to store anything.

The hotel’s main advantage is its location. Beyond that, the experience fell well below what I would expect from a five-star property. Communication: Before arrival, I exchanged several emails with the reservations team. While I understand that some of my requests were outside the booking terms, the responses felt cold, overly formal, and focused on policies rather than hospitality. It felt more like dealing with a corporate department than a hotel. Rooms & Sound Insulation: The room size was acceptable, but the soundproofing was extremely poor. I could clearly hear conversations and phone calls from neighboring rooms, as well as traffic, construction work, and street noise. My sleep was disturbed multiple times during the stay. Housekeeping: This was the most disappointing aspect. Housekeeping seemed limited to making the bed and basic bathroom cleaning. Water glasses and coffee cups were left unchanged for several days, small debris and coffee packaging remained on the floor, food crumbs on tables were not cleaned, and service requests were often delivered slowly. To be fair, the front desk staff were friendly and professional throughout my stay.

After staying at Divani Palace Acropolis for a week, I confidently and highly recommend this hotel. I am a well seasoned international traveler, and stay at 4-5 star hotels, and Divani compares favorably. At check in, we had an issue with our reservation, and the staff corrected it by giving us an upgrade to their Executive Suite. Our housekeeper is thorough and thoughtful, our room is kept clean and tidy throughout the day. The bellmen are friendly and helpful, helping us to make arrangements and giving advice. Our spacious room has a stunning view of the Pilopappos Monument. The bed is King sized and pillows and linens are crisp and comfortable. We have our espresso each morning sitting on our balcony looking up at the Acropolis. Within a couple blocks we have found tons of cafes, restaurants and markets. There is a pharmacy, a laundromat and even an acai bowl spot! This is the second time we have stayed at Divani Palace, and we would come back again!

Stayed for 3 nights in a superior room with Acropolis view. Did not get housekeeping done on purpose, so I can't comment on that. The room was as advertised. The Acropolis view is seen when you go out on the balcony and turn, so it's not a straight view out the window. The room has a safe large enough to fit a laptop, a small tv, water, robes, slippers, dental kit, sewing kit, two in one shampoo and body wash (which is surprising given such a high end hotel, I'd expect specific shampoo), conditioner, and lotion. The shower is oddly designed and doesn't have a closing door, so it's easy to get water everywhere. There is a nice pillow menu. Breakfast was only okay. We were at Makedonia Palace in Thessaloniki before this, and their breakfast was much better despite it being much cheaper. There is standard continental Western breakfast, but we would have liked more traditional Greek foods and more fruit available. Gym photos attached. They have lockers and snacks in the gym which is a nice touch. However no power rack or bench press, and the weights only go up to I believe 20 kgs. The outdoor pool is nice though was not really emptied of plant debris while we were there. Location is excellent and walkable. Overall I would expect more from a 5 star hotel, but it was okay for our purposes.

Great hotel in the perfect location! Beautiful view of the Acropolis from the front rooms and rooftop bar. Walking distance from the Acropolis, and Olympic stadium. Excellent restaurants, and Django gelato ((which had the best pistachio sorbet I've ever had)). Also TukTuk thai restaurant was outstanding. For my food allergy concerns at the hotel ... The chef in the dining room was great. He made me an omelet in the back and the waitress Eva, who was so sweet and kind brought me a bunch of gluten free and dairy free snacks. I was able to safely eat and continue my travels without worry!!
