initially, i was planning to give this hotel 5 stars. the staff were kind, the room was clean, and everything seemed great. but what happened after checkout, along with reading other reviews about this same "trick," made me reconsider my rating. i speak turkish fluently so there’s no way of “misunderstanding”, and when we checked in, the receptionist told us, "these snacks are a compliment from our hotel. the other items in the minibar are charged." naturally, i thanked them and assumed those snack boxes were free. during the checkout i was sleepy so i talked english maybe that’s why they decided that it’s easy to fool me idk? after checkout, the bellboy ran after me and asked me to return to the reception, where another staff member told me that those snack boxes were actually not complimentary and that i had to pay for them. i had to leave for the flight so of course i didn’t confront them at that exact moment. paying for the snacks is not the issue. the real problem is the misleading behavior of the hotel and its staff. if multiple guests have experienced the same situation, it doesn't seem like a misunderstanding anymore. it's a very cheap tactic and completely unacceptable for a 4-star hotel.

Rooms are small with good view to the sea. Breakfast is awful. The service is warm and nice. The accessibility is very good and near to Sisane metro. Conclusion: little expensive for this quality.

My husband and I stayed at the Richmond Hotel during our trip to Istanbul. I have been to Istanbul three times, and this was by far the best hotel I have stayed in. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always helpful — especially Harun, who also helped us with a restaurant reservation and remained smiling, friendly, and attentive throughout our entire stay. The rooms were very well equipped and spotless. The location on Istiklal Street was also perfect and very convenient for exploring the city. For my birthday, they even surprised me with a cake and a birthday card that I discovered when I returned to the room, which made our stay even more special. A huge thank you to all the staff at Richmond Hotel for their wonderful hospitality. We highly recommend this hotel!

Otel genel anlamda genellikle çok konforlu tüm personel güler yüzlü yardım sever temizlik gayet güzel. Özellikle odamızı her gün titizlikle temizleyen yıldız hanıma çok teşekkür ederim. Kahvaltı çok başarılı her gün sıcak çeşitler değişiyor. Her şey gayet lezzetli ve taze. Konum olarak mükemmel kesinlikle başka yeri düşünmenize gerek bile yok. Sadece otel konsepti olarak sadece ilk giriş günü 1 litre su koyulması ve sonrasında yenileme olmamasının çok anlamlandıramadım açıkçası en azından günde 1 litre bile olsa yenilenmeli bence tek eksi yanı bu

Very warm and very professional approach from the very first contact with the employees there. The hotel has the best location on Istiklal street, its is very clean and well maintained. Our room was perfect and the breakfast was great. I still feel sad that I had to come back to Makedonya. Special thanks to Furkan from reservations,Harun reception,Firat and the older man who cleaned. Hope to be guest there again soon.

Aunque la habitación 311 no cumplió del todo nuestras expectativas —al ser interior, tener moqueta y contar con un ruido constante procedente del techo— destacaría especialmente la amabilidad y profesionalidad del personal de recepción, desayuno y limpieza, siempre atentos y dispuestos a ayudar. Su excelente trato, junto con el buen nivel general de las instalaciones y servicios, compensó con creces estos inconvenientes y contribuyó a que disfrutáramos de una estancia muy satisfactoria .
