The First Collection Marina (Formerly Wyndham Dubai Marina)

This was one of the worst experiences we’ve ever had with a hotel booking. We paid 587 EUR for The First Collection Marina specifically because of its excellent location near Dubai Marina, the beach, and public transport. However, upon arrival, we were relocated without prior notice or consent to The First Collection Jumeirah Village Circle. The new hotel is in a much worse location, far from everything, forcing us to spend around 50 EUR per day on taxis. On top of that, we later found that the hotel we were moved to costs only around 240 EUR for the same dates — meaning we effectively lost around 350 EUR in value. The hotel refused to provide any meaningful compensation. Instead, they offered irrelevant things like a delayed room upgrade, dinner, and “included breakfast” — even though breakfast was already part of our original booking and fully paid. This situation felt extremely unfair and misleading. We paid for a premium location and received something significantly worse, both in value and convenience. Very disappointing experience. We would strongly advise others to be cautious when booking, as last-minute relocations without consent can happen, and you may end up paying much more for much less. Would not recommend.

It was our first stay at First Collection Marina, and it definitely won't be our last! It was meant to be a simple birthday staycation, and I didn't mention my birthday when we checked in. But when the receptionist saw my Emirates ID, they noticed it was my birthday and surprised us with a complimentary room upgrade to a beautiful room with an amazing view. About an hour later, there was another surprise. The doorbell rang, and the team arrived with a cake, balloons, and a heartfelt rendition of "Happy Birthday." It was such a thoughtful gesture, and I was genuinely touched. The room was wonderful, but what truly made this stay unforgettable was the warmth and hospitality of the entire team. Every interaction made us feel genuinely welcome and at home. Thank you for making this celebration so special. We can't wait to come back!

Did 3 nights in this hotel at the end of June. It is a fantastic hotel. My room was beautiful and it looked out over the marina. The staff looked after me so well. I'd like to say thanks to Nyo for being so kind to me in check-in & Ayoub at breakfast for his wonderful service. Poll area is small but nice but the access to Soluna beach club is a fantastic perk. It's lovely there. The Location is AMAZING! There are shops, supermarkets and restaurants are all close by and it's 2 minute walk to the marina where you can find EVERYTHING! Thanks for a lovely stay.

Quite a nice stay. The service was excellent. The rooms were a little dated and the TVs didn't work. Breakfast was great. Overall, good value for money. Would stay here again.

We stayed there with our child and overall had a good experience. The hotel upgraded us to a One-Bedroom King Suite, which was a nice touch. Our son slept on the couch, while my wife and I had a separate bedroom, so it was much more comfortable for a family stay. We also booked half board, and I liked that it worked differently from the usual hotel setup. You could choose dinner from various places around the city, which was great for us since we had a car and could eat somewhere different every evening. You just need to book in advance. Breakfast was also good and had a nice variety. We also had complimentary access to Soluna Beach Club on the Palm. I believe the hotel provides a transfer there, but since we had a car, we used our own transport. Having beach club access was definitely another nice part of the stay. Overall, it was a good stay and a convenient option for a family trip.

Mittelmäßiges Hotel. Die Zimmer sind schön und haben eine tolle Aussicht. Für ein paar Tage um die Stadt zu erkunden oder auf Durchreise ist es völlig ausreichend. Wir haben Frühstück mitgebucht, jedoch nicht gegessen. Das Essen ist angerichtet wie in einer alten Kantine. Mega unhygienisches und merkwürdiges Restaurant. Sieht wie zusammengewürfelt aus, selbst die Möbel im Restaurant passt nicht zusammen. Aufklapptische mit dreckigen Tischdecken drauf. Wirklich schlimm.
