Lovely accommodation. Just spent a week here in September, wasn’t too busy, had no trouble getting sunbeds their was lots of spare beds. Has two outdoor pools, 1 shallower for kids also has an open plan indoor pool right beside which is warmer and a hot tub. Lovely food and drinks bar at pool. Toasted sandwich and chips only €5, burger with chips €8. Not loud at night and not a huge resort so no room is far from the pool. Using the Bolt taxi app it was €4 to old town strip or 15 min walk also only €4 to the port which is a lovely area. About €7-10 to new town. Old town is more restaurants, little shops, bars and a few clubs. New town is full of clubs and younger people. Mix between families and older people, not a party hotel. Our room was huge with a fridge oven etc. air conditioning works great. 24/7 shop at reception with water and basics etc. Rooms cleaned daily if you wish, we like to sleep in etc so put the do not disturb sign up most days and no one knocked. Whole resort is lovely. 10/10 recommend.

Both myself and my husband are here for a weeks holiday. We arrived at the apartment at 20-30 on Monday there was a gentleman at the desk who was very friendly and helpful he even opened the shop for us tho get some water. The room has got everything you need,(even T towels)it's very spacious and very comfortable.The pool’s indoor and outdoor are fabulous and there’s always plenty of sunbeds. Everyone is so friendly here even the maids got smiles on their faces we will definitely be booking here again. Taxi to the old town is €3.70 it’s a little bit far for me to walk (but I’m old lol) it wouldn’t be a problem for younger people.

This is a lovely place. Contrary to some reviews, we found the staff so helpful and friendly. Nor were we asked for a security deposit!! Apartments have all you need, including an iron, microwave and clothes horse for drying clothes. There are three pools, a paddling pool, and then a proper pool, neither of which are too deep, plus a heated indoor swimming pool, complete with jacuzzi. Heaven. To walk to the old town is about 15 minutes downhill, but watch out as the pavements are really uneven and bumpy. No level paths anywhere. We used Uber and Bolt to get around as so cheap. Good supermarket in Albufeira Terrace shopping centre. But also the local supermarket at the end of the road to the apartment complex is well stocked, well run and very clean. The little cafe beside is also excellent value and delicious food. All in all Pateo Apartments may be classed as three stars, but it punches above its weight.

Horrid! Im not sure if every room has this problem but there is a serious ant problem in my room. We came home from a long night to get a shower - to hundreds of ants crawling out of the bath and all over the floor. They couldn’t give us anything apart from bug spray, took about 15 minutes to kill them all. Then the following night ants started crawling out of the lights on the wall. Asked reception for a new room, and she gave attitude immediately, which suggests that this is a common problem. She said there’s nothing she could do because there’s no rooms left (which seems like a load of crap considering there doesn’t seem to be that much people here).

Really upset about the service we received here, me and my partner were forced to pay €100 per person in cash taking all of our spending money for the 4 days we were there. They made us sign a stingey contract that said if we have guests in the room we forfeit €100 each time and any damage or sound would be deducted. When we were leaving we saw another couple check in and they were not charged this deposit. We were very reluctant to use the amenities in the hotel for risk of being charged. They were also very stingy on soap and cleaning. There was some issues with the door lock which was resolved quickly and some cracked tiles.

Just back from a week here with my wife and our 2 sons (6&13) lovely spot 5 mins taxi from marina which is a must see hidden gem and 5 min taxi from old town. Very family oriented. Was very clean and well maintained. The indoor pool was great especially as it reached 34degrees my son could play in it for hours without the worry of him been burnt. The only downfall for us was one of the beds in was extremely uncomfortable and pillows were very lumpy. We could get over that as everything else was perfect.
