Endroit magnifique avec ses espaces où se mellent tous types d'arbustes, fleurs et arbres. Un bel espace piscine. Des repas de bonne facture avec les légumes cultivés dans la quinta. Question chambre nous étions dans une suite SPA vue sur mer très bien équipée même si un peu de rénovation semble nécessaire. Très bonne literie, Très bon séjour.

We stayed in the SPA Suite Sea View for 7 nights. Good things first. Everything was clean, the stuff friendly, the buffet yummy and the garden beautiful. The massage I‘ve had was really great too. Now to the unfortunate part. At Checkin we got a quick introduction of the hotel and spa facilities. Since we did not understand what was included as a Suite bonus we went to the reception the following day and asked. The lady friendly told us that we had the half board, so specials when it comes to restaurants, a bathrobe + slides and free access to the spa. On our last breakfast a friendly restaurant crew member made us aware of our free option of à la carte dishes such as stuff made special Cappuccino etc. So it turned out that we in fact had special conditions when it came to our meals, which we payed for but didn’t use because we were not informed correctly. At Checkout the we were asked if everything was ok, so we told the lady about our experience. She just responded with „oh, so sorry to hear that…“. We didn’t get a voucher, neither a discount for our potential next stay and left the hotel disappointed. Overall we still had a great stay and enjoyed the beautiful sea view. We would have come back for sure, if the last encounter would have made us feel so fooled.

Die Anlage ist toll - wunderschön bepflanzt, schöner großer Pool mit Blick aufs Meer. Nahe beim Flughafen und an der Schnellstraße, aber trotzdem ruhig. Die Appartements und Zimmer sind überall verteilt auf dem Gelände, da gibt es durchaus deutliche Unterschiede vom Blick und Nähe der Zimmernachbarn her. Es ist sauber und das Buffet ist klein aber fein, zum Teil mit Gemüse und Obst aus dem eigenen Garten, der durchaus einen Rundgang wert ist. Ich fand die Innenausstattung der Zimmer etwas antiquiert, so gibt es auch keine Klimaanlage, sondern auf Anfrage einen Ventilator. Habe aber habe gut geschlafen, was für mich das Wichtigste ist. Das Personal ist freundlich, habe aber schon besseren Service erlebt. Es ist ein adult-only Hotel, also Kinder unter 14 Jahren offiziell nicht erlaubt bzw. erwünscht.

Top Standort! Einfach bezaubernd. Die Zimmer sind "nostalgisch" schön, halt etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber echt reizend und sauber! Den Punktabzug gibt es für den echt miesen Kaffee! Einfach mal Maschinen vernünftig einstellen, dann passt das. Die Küche schwächelt auch ein wenig, aus diesen Zutaten macht jede Hausfrau mehr Geschmack. Late Check out 30€, naja, wenigstens wird es angeboten.

We happened upon the spa at Quinta Splendida while looking for the gardens and decided, why not? Despite not having a booking, the staff (Italena and others, sorry we didn't remember everyone) were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. It was absolutely worth it. Although we couldn’t go in together due to the time of day and limited staff availability, we both still had a lovely experience. We enjoyed access to the saunas, relaxation lounges, and complimentary teas, which made the whole visit feel calm and indulgent. The gardens themselves are beautiful, tranquil, and the perfect way to end a relaxing pamper session. Wandering through them afterwards really completed the experience. A wonderful spa experience overall and highly recommended!

Amazing sanctuary in Garajau. Spa and massages are excellent if weather is not good. All staff very friendly and attentive. You can access spa and pool all day if you book a massage if you are not staying in the hotel. Isabella was amazing. Strongly recommend to get away from the bustle of Funchal
