Nous avons séjourné une semaine. L’hôtel est bien placé avec une belle vue. Nous étions au dernier étage. Niveau restauration c’est assez bas en terme de qualité. Très industrielle. Le soir ne mangez pas là-bas, très cher et qualité médiocre. Idem en terrasse vers la piscine. Quand au personnel, très sympa mais pas du tout le niveau d’un 5 étoiles. Je dirai plutôt 3 étoiles français. Ce qui ne pose pas de problème si le prix était en adéquation. Les chambres méritent une rénovation surtout au niveau des salles de bains. Très sale, bouchée, bref elles ne donnent pas envie. La prochaine fois nous irons ailleurs.

Great hotel - lovely rooms. Bar at bottom pool was excellent as was terrace bar. We thoroughly enjoyed the paddle boarding and kayaking - great fun. My mum also lived Sisi’s aqua aerobic classes. Staff were great throughout

Pros: direct access to the ocean, loads of sun loungers and parasols. Lovely big swimming pools and the pool on the lowest level is the perfect temperature. Spacious bedrooms with lovely bathrooms. Beach towels, bathrobes and slippers provided. Loads of restaurants and bars in walking distance. Cons: there is a 10% service charge even if you are just buying an ice bream from the bar by the pool. Waiting for the lifts can take a really long time. Breakfast was not great if you are lactose intolerant as so many foods contain milk. It can take a long time to be served at the bar on the lowest level as there was only one person working behind the bar. The lunch food was also not always stocked very well on this level. I also feel the food is overpriced for what it is, we had much nicer (and more affordable) meals outside the hotel. Overall I think the location is the main highlight but I have been to much nicer 4 star hotels so I am surprised this is 5 stars.

The staff are all very welcome & helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. We had a lovely cleaner who made sure our room was clean & tidy. The staff at the childrens pool were so lovely & attentive to my little girl, she wanted to see them everyday! Special mentions to Lissandra, Leonor & Mary for looking after my little girl. Thank you for the face/hand painting, braids & bracelets.

Lovely stay. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were really lovely, welcoming and helpful. This place is huge! Never hard to find a peaceful spot. No towels on sunbeds. Never failed to find a sunbed exactly where we wanted even if we didn't wander down until 11am or even in the afternoon. Just so peaceful and relaxing, despite getting there in may half term.

Wir hatten eine fantastische Zeit im Pestana Carlton Madeira und können das Hotel wärmstens weiterempfehlen! Hier sind die Punkte, die unseren Urlaub besonders gemacht haben: Die Zimmer: Unsere Unterkunft war angenehm groß, sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und bot jede Menge Platz zum Wohlfühlen. Der Ausblick: Der Meerblick ist einfach traumhaft schön – morgens so aufzuwachen ist pure Erholung. Pool & Entspannung: Die großzügigen Salzwasser-Pools sind ein echtes Highlight und laden perfekt zum Abschalten und Relaxen ein. Top Lage: Das Hotel liegt ideal. Der Hafen und das CR7-Museum befinden sich direkt in der Nähe, sodass man das Stadtzentrum von Funchal wunderbar und bequem zu Fuß erreichen kann. Das Frühstück: Das Buffet ist super reichhaltig und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Besonders genossen haben wir das Frühstück auf der Terrasse mit einer wunderschönen Aussicht. Ein kleiner Tipp für Autofahrer: Es gibt kostenlose Parkplätze direkt am Hotel. Da die Anzahl der Plätze jedoch etwas begrenzt ist, gehört ein kleines Quäntchen Glück dazu – für uns hat es aber super geklappt! Fazit: Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.
