Paradies mit Mängel Die Insel ist ein wirkliches Natur Paradies. Die Lagune einzigartig! Wir waren zum 9. Mal auf den Malediven, zum 3.Mal auf Hideaway, mussten aber leider einige Mängel feststellen. Zuerst aber ein grosses Lob an die Angestellten. Speziell erwähnen möchten wir Indah und Ali vom Matheefaru, den Barkeepern im Meeru und im Sunset. Ein Lob auch an den Golfpro Dimuthu der sich viel Zeit für uns genommen hat. Auch das Reinigungspersonal, immer sehr freundlich. Das Buffet im Matheefaru war sehr lecker und abwechslungsreich. Dessert-Buffet hingegen sehr mager und überwiegend nur Schichtkuchen. Das Essen im Meeru war auch ausgezeichnet. Leider waren wir vom Samsara nicht begeistert. Essen war ok, aber im Gegensatz zum letzten mal, war die Presentation der Gerichte schwach. Wir hatten den Blue Lobster und Sushis bestellt. Beim Lobster (85 Dollar) gab es nicht mal eine Beilage. Die Sushi Platte war Lieblos, mit viel Gemüse und Salatblätter, dekoriert (74 Dollar). Das Oasis, was kann man dazu sagen. Hervorheben möchten wir den schönsten Strandabschnitt der Insel. Doch leider waren wir sehr enttäuscht vom Oasis. Auch bei geöffnetem Restaurant, war niemand bereit uns zu bedienen, lieber sassen sie am Tisch und falteten Servietten. Nur am ersten Tag wurden wir bedient. Da gibt es auch einen schönen Pool den wir oft benutzt hatten, leider waren nebenan 2 grosse Baustellen. Der Lärm von Kreissägen, Hämmern und sonstiger Baulärm war nicht wirklich was wir erwartet hatten. Ein grosser Minuspunkt!!!! Wir hatten eine Beach Residence Plunch Pool (nr. 124) Lagunen Seite. Da gab es leider einige Mängel und es wäre eine Renovation nötig, vor allem für ein 5 Sterne Luxus Resort.!! Schränke die nicht mehr schliessen, Holzboden mit starken Gebrauchsspuren, Ratan Lounge (Tisch und Stühle) die teilweise gebrochen sind. Ueberall sichtbare Risse an den Wänden (draussen) Farbplatzer, Totes Gehölz am Strandabschnitt das entferent werden sollte. Alles ist irgendwie "Runtergerockt" . Auch hatten wir an unserem Strändchen enorm viele Korallen, Muscheln und Steine. An gewissen Tagen waren es richtige kleine Hügel. Unblutig ins Meer, gelangt man nur mit fetten Strandsandalen. Wir sind uns bewusst dass es Jahre gibt wo das Wetter eine grosse Rolle spielt und diese angespühlt werden, doch nicht in diesen Mengen. Neben uns im Meer wurde fleissig gearbeitet. Wir vermuteten, dass dieses eine Rolle spielte, denn ein paar hundert Meter weiter (auf der selben Inselseite) war nichts! Wir baten bereits nach 2 Tagen unsere Buttlerin SEPTI um eine Lösung, da die Insel nicht ausgebucht war. Nach mehren erneuten versuchen, kam 3 Tage vor Ende unseres Urlaubs das Angebot die Villa zu tauschen. Das war für uns zu spät. Bei unserer Abreise, hat sie uns zur Reception gebracht und hat kein Wort mehr mit uns gewechselt. Extrem Unprofessionell und sehr enttäuschend. Wir haben uns daher entschieden nicht mehr auf Hideaway unseren Ferien zu verbringen und auch nicht weiter zu Empfehlen. Sind wir verwöhnt? Ja! Deshalb hatten wir auch ein 5 Sterne Luxus Resort gebucht.

Amazing experience. The highest sort of hospitality. Spatious and really nice villas, few high quality restaurants. Nice sports centre. Especially we liked The Meeru Bar. Delicious food, fantastic team of people: chef Silva, Anity, Chamila, Chirag and Rahul. You made our stay very special. Thanks to our butler Shahin.

I will first off say that overall this is a wonderful resort. All of the staff were amazing and very very accommodating. Special shoutout to Chirag at the Meeru Bar, he was incredible. The overwater villas are AMAZING. The food was pretty average, but outside of that everything is great while you’re AT the resort. Now, the huge issue we had and reason for only 4 stars is the resort’s travel accommodations. It was terrible. When I booked our stay, they emailed and asked for our travel details so that they could arrange for us to get from the Malé airport to the resort. We landed in Malé at 1pm, and they made us wait 6 HOURS at the airport before getting a plane to the resort. We ended up not getting to our villa until 10pm and feel like we lost a whole day of our trip. On the way home, our flight out of Malé was at 2pm. They made us check out at 6am to go to the Malé airport. So we had to wait at the airport for 6 hours AGAIN before getting on our flight home. That part was incredibly frustrating.

An Unforgettable Two-Week Escape at Hideaway Resort Maldives 🌴🤍 We spent two incredible weeks at Hideaway Resort Maldives, and honestly, leaving was one of the hardest parts of the trip. From the moment we arrived, everything about the resort felt like a dream — the breathtaking surroundings, the crystal-clear turquoise water, the beautiful villas, and most importantly, the exceptional level of hospitality. What really made our stay so special was the people. Every member of staff we met was genuinely warm, welcoming and attentive. Nothing ever felt forced or transactional — there was a real sense that everyone wanted us to have the best possible experience. Over two weeks, the staff became such a lovely part of our holiday, and we will genuinely miss seeing their familiar faces. Our villa was absolutely beautiful. Waking up every morning surrounded by the incredible Maldivian scenery never got old. The privacy, peaceful atmosphere and direct access to that unbelievably clear water made it incredibly easy to switch off and completely relax. There were moments when we had to remind ourselves that we weren’t dreaming! The food was fantastic, with plenty of variety throughout our stay. Even after two weeks, we never felt like we had run out of things to try. The quality was consistently excellent, and the attention to detail across the resort was impressive. The resort itself is stunning, but what we loved most was the feeling of peace and privacy. It never felt overwhelmingly busy, which made it the perfect place to disconnect from everyday life and simply enjoy being together. Two weeks is a long time to stay at one resort, and that actually makes our experience at Hideaway even more impressive — we genuinely didn’t want to leave. The time flew by, and by the end of our stay, Hideaway felt less like a hotel and more like our own little paradise. We have travelled to beautiful places before, but there was something particularly special about Hideaway. It wasn’t just the scenery that made the holiday memorable; it was the combination of the location, the villa, the food, the attention to detail and the wonderful people who looked after us. Haali was very wonderful waiter, went above and beyond everyday to make our dinner/breakfast incredible x Thank you to the entire Hideaway team for giving us two weeks we will never forget. You created memories that we will treasure for a very long time, and we truly hope we get the chance to return one day. If you’re considering staying at Hideaway Resort Maldives, don’t hesitate — book it. 🌊🌴✨ 10/10 from us. An absolute piece of paradise.

Wonderful island, best water sports facility and organisation I’ve even seen (Jadaa is awesome). Dinner is mediocre, except for Oasis which has better food but is more expensive. Relatively old rooms and a few insects around but overall good value for money.

This hotel is so cheap. If you eat at an alacarte and then cone to the buffet for tea and coffee which is chargeable and you try to take some fruits or a deserts They create such a big deal out of it. The hotel has absolutely zero evening activities so the only thing to do after dinner at 7 PM is to go to the only place which unfortunately is the buffet where you can sit and enjoy the Seaview. So we would come here for drinks, tea, coffee, wine, whatever and obviously we would want to take some fruits to go with our drinks, but no, they are so afraid we will eat too much. By the way, the reef here is huge, but it’s dead although there’s still a lot of fish
