Wenjiao Liu2/5 · 2026-03As Accor Platinum members and frequent global travelers, we were shocked by our experience at Cassia Phuket. Calling our 10-day (unrefudable) stay a mediocre hostel experience would be an understatement. We will be filing a formal complaint with Accor Group regarding the inaccurate 5-star rating of this property on the app. Having Cassia Phuket as an Accor partnership hotel is misleading to loyal customers and this is why: • Hygiene Failures: The cleanliness is unacceptable. Disgusting black stains in the toilet bowl upon arrival, moldy spots all over the bathroom, and a significant fly problem at the breakfast station. The couch and ottomans are so gross I had to ask for bedsheets to cover them in order to have a place to sit down - check photos • Subpar Service & Housekeeping: There is no luggage assistance. Housekeeping only occurs every other day (for whatever bs ESG reason the hotel whips up) and is extremely superficial, eg our sinks were never cleaned during the 10 day period • Inflexible & Cheap Policies: The "house rules" are bizarre for a supposedly high-end resort. We were limited to only 2 beach towels per room, denied a breakfast takeaway box for an early boat ride, and weren’t allowed to bring a cup of coffee back to our room. Is this a five star resort or a prison? • Misleading Amenities: The gym is a victim of wide-angle photography marketing. In reality, it is tiny and overcrowded with just three people. Same goes for the pool. I don’t want to overly elaborate on the breakfast because it’s down to individual taste, but as many other comments have pointed out, it’s pretty bad especially considering how cheap groceries are in Thailand • Poor Infrastructure: Our street-side room was incredibly noisy due to single-pane glass. The bedroom sliding door wouldn't stay closed, the front door was paper-thin, and most alarmingly, the elevator door got stuck twice, requiring me to push it open manually • Rigid Management: Due to a booking error (admittedly on our part) we had to receive a nearly 400 Swiss francs worth of credit instead of a refund which we hardly used during the stay (hint: the breakfast food was very bad we did not feel like eating at the hotel restaurant) Management would not allow the credit to be transferred to the Banyan Tree (a sister property) for the second half of our trip, essentially forcing us to lose the funds. We should have just kept the booking instead of letting this hotel profit twice The only good thing was the security guys at the entrance - they were actually helpful and keep tabs on incoming external traffic, otherwise known as “doing their job”
Nikki Calloway2/5 · 2026-06NOT A 5 STAR HOTEL I’m not sure how the star system works in different countries but this is nowhere near a five star experience. First of all they don’t have luggage service? That’s basic hospitality in even the 3 star hotels. The girl at the front desk said if I left my bag in the hallway somebody would come get them which doesn’t make any sense. They do have carts to put the luggage on, but when you’ve been traveling for weeks and you have a couple bags and you just want to lay down from traveling all day not having luggage service is wild to me. The rooms were okay. They were clean but the layout of the rooms were kind of awkward and kind of crammed and confusing. Especially the bathrooms. The staff was okay. Most were kind of helpful but I also feel like they gave me the vibe that they barely understood what was going on. They did greet you though and were pretty friendly. It is in a nice location and the room did have a nice view. Too bad I couldn’t fully enjoy it because the balcony door wouldn’t open. Didn’t even bother to contact the staff about it I knew it would’ve been a waste of time. I would probably recommend this hotel to backpackers since there’s no luggage service and the hotel has affordable pricing plus they have shuttles to take you to Bang Tao beach and Patong. The breakfast was just okay. Not horrible but nothing to write home about. This is a 3 star hotel at best.
Mira Misco5/5 · 2026-08I’ve had the opportunity to stay at Cassia Phuket, and what I appreciate most is how thoughtfully the space is designed. The infrastructure allows life to stay in the foreground. Everything feels easy. I love having different lights for different moods, the amount of space and storage, the kitchen, the balcony, and the freedom to move between the different areas of the apartment depending on what I feel like doing. It doesn’t feel like being confined to a hotel room — it feels like having a temporary home. I also really appreciate the practical details: the delivery system, the way garbage is handled, and how clean and well organized everything is. These are small things, but together they make daily life feel effortless. The atmosphere, the space, the view and the overall design have made my stay genuinely relaxing. My experience of a great hotel is perhaps very simple: since I arrived, I haven’t wanted to leave.
John Liam V2/5 · 2026-07At €78 per night for a two-bedroom suite with breakfast, we didn't expect 5-star luxury, but as part of the renowned Banyan Group, Cassia Phuket falls far short of basic standards. The resort feels run-down. While our room's AC worked, it was extremely noisy, and common areas lack AC entirely. The pool area is poorly maintained, filled with algae, broken jacuzzi benches, and litter left until late evening. Housekeeping only comes every two days between 8 AM and late evening; requesting early service just puts you on a long queue. External laundry services are blocked from Laguna, forcing high hotel rates, and hotel taxis cost double compared to Grab. Fun advertised events like the foam party were canceled without notice. Dining at Vista was a letdown. Breakfast coffee remained lukewarm across all machines despite reporting it, and fresh pancakes were replaced by tough, pre-made ones. Many dinner dishes were unavailable, yet fully stocked at their pricier sister restaurant, Open Kitchen. Restaurant staff spent more time chatting with each other than helping guests. When raising issues, staff is polite and apologizes, but nothing actually changes. On the positive side, the front desk team is friendly, the free beach shuttle is great, and our hotel-booked private catamaran tour was fantastic. However, the Banyan brand name promises quality that Cassia simply fails to deliver. Definitely not worthy of a 4-star rating.
