⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ 4/5 En general disfruté mucho mi estancia en Dreams Sands Cancún Resort & Spa. La ubicación es excelente, la playa es hermosa y el ambiente es muy agradable. Quiero reconocer que Francisco, quien nos recibió al llegar, fue muy amable y atento durante los primeros dos días. Sin embargo, desde el check-in nos invitó a asistir a una presentación en otro hotel, ofreciéndonos desayuno y un certificado de 200 dólares para utilizar en actividades como Tulum o Isla Mujeres. Nos comentó que mostrar una tarjeta de crédito era solo un requisito, pero nunca nos explicó claramente que se trataba de una presentación de ventas para adquirir una membresía vacacional. Al llegar al otro hotel, nos hicieron muchas preguntas sobre nuestros ingresos, viajes y gastos con la intención de vendernos una membresía. Incluso Francisco me pidió que dijera que era soltera para “agilizar el proceso”. Cuando el asesor, Porfirio, insistía en que tomara una decisión, le expliqué que estoy casada y que mi esposo y yo siempre tomamos juntos las decisiones económicas. La situación llegó hasta el gerente, quien actuó de manera profesional, me pidió que escribiera un reporte sobre lo sucedido y nos invitó a desayunar. Mi molestia fue haber perdido varias horas de mis vacaciones por una invitación que no fue completamente transparente. El tiempo de descanso es muy valioso cuando uno viaja. Lo que más me decepcionó fue que, al regresar a Dreams Sands, Francisco cambió por completo su actitud y dejó de brindarnos la atención que había tenido al principio. Sentí que el interés por atendernos desapareció porque no aceptamos la membresía. Como áreas de mejora, considero importante que el hotel implemente una política para evitar que algunos huéspedes aparten varios camastros durante horas sin utilizarlos, ya que resulta muy difícil encontrar un lugar para disfrutar de la playa. También sería bueno que hubiera más meseros atendiendo la playa y la alberca, ya que en varias ocasiones tuvimos que buscar nosotros mismos las bebidas o los snacks. En cuanto a la habitación, encontré algunos detalles de mantenimiento: algunas lámparas no funcionaban y las almohadas tenían un olor desagradable, por lo que considero que podrían mejorar esos aspectos. A pesar de estos puntos, disfruté mucho mis vacaciones. La ubicación, la playa y el ambiente del hotel son excelentes. Si mejoran la transparencia en este tipo de invitaciones, el servicio y algunos detalles de mantenimiento, sin duda sería un hotel de 5 estrellas.

Resort decor in rooms is simple but clean. Biggest complaint is most rooms do not have balconies. They overlook the water but have few balconies and window only opens 2 inches. Unlike other Dreams Resorts where you can purchase the preferred upgrade-Their preferred pool is Not Adults only. Not one of the four pools is, so there were screaming, crying, splashing ,loud children and babies in every pool. I didn’t pay the preferred upgrade to hear babies and kids for 10 days. The restaurants are the same. No quiet adult section for preferred guests. Food is excellent but crying babies and young children spoil the peace of vacation. I get that it is a family friendly resort but the preferred upgrade is adults only at every other location and i believe in consistency with the Hyatt name. In this respect Dreams Sands lacks the consistency of other Dreams resorts. The best part of Dreams Sands is the staff!! Namely Jorge at breakfast in World Cafe, Isaac, Mario and Manuela at the preferred pool and Angel and Carmen at Concierge. These staff went out of their way to make our stay special and i would like to extend my gratitude 🥰Thank you

This may be one of the loveliest beaches for families with small children. The water is wonderfully calm, making it an easy and relaxing place to spend the day with little ones. Our room was not quite the same as the one shown in the promotional materials, which was somewhat disappointing, but it was nevertheless very comfortable. The staff was consistently warm and attentive and made us feel well cared for throughout our stay. The food, however, could certainly be improved. It was perhaps the weakest part of an otherwise pleasant experience. Overall, we had a lovely time here. The calm, beautiful beach is the real highlight and, especially when traveling with young children, a very good reason to visit.

Todo muy bien. Desde que llegas al check in, te reciben bien con una bebida y explicandote todo. Las habitaciones cómodas, bien climatizadas y limpias. Tienen actividades todos los días. Nunca vi una mala cara por parte del personal sino todo lo contrario, un trato amable y la comida toda deliciosa. Tienen como 5 restaurantes y el buffet está muy completo. El área para niños que no recuerdo cómo se llama, también es divertido para ellos porque tienen diferentes actividades. La verdad volvería a hospedarme sin pensarlo en este hotel all inclusive. Lo único es que dentro del lobby estaba goteando en algunas partes por el aire acondicionado me imagino, pero no afecta para caminar. Y la otra es que sería bueno que pusieran un tobogán o algo más en las albercas.

Hotel lindo, pero se le notan los años. Quizas al ir en temporada alta esta todo saturado, no alcanzan las reposeras y si no madrugas terminas en la arena. Musica de animaciones y actividades demasiado alta para conversar o estar tranquilo. Muy atento absolutamente todo el personal, eso es para destacar. Comida normal, buffet sin nada extraordinario, quizas faltarian carteles indicando que cosas son picantes (mas de las esperadas por nosotros). Mala experiencia en el tematico italiano. Hay que ir temprano sino es complicado. Entendemos que siguieron agregando habitaciones pero no se agrando el espacio de comida y claramente la playa tiene una capacidad. Lo elegimos por no tener sargazo, pero no volveriamos, al menos en pleno julio. Habitaciones y demas, ok!

We brought our twins to Dreams Sands as a graduation gift from college. We upgraded our kids rooms to find out the amenities they mentioned was not worth the additional $800. For our upgrade, we received unlimited small pack of pringles chips, m&m, apple juice boxes, one-time free small bottle of alcohol, use of the lounge (which they described as better food than the resturants "it wasn't", and use of a private pool that any and everyone could and did use. The food in the resturants was amazing, but if you're looking for buffet style food this place is not it. There really wasn't no late night clubs, dj, or party like atmosphere after 10 or 11pm. Adults would just hang out in the lobby area by the bar. The vibe during the day around the pool and beach was the highlight of the trip. We rented jet skies and did some very cool excursion. If you're looking for a slow pace and kid friendly environment then Dreams Sands Cancun is the resort for you. Other than the upgrade scam, it was an amazing trip or should I say, we made it an amazing trip.
