Don’t usually post reviews, but wanted to leave one based on our trip to Mexico February 2026! This hotel is absolutely amazing, we will definitely return! It’s about a 40 minute bus ride from the airport, and from the second you arrive to when you check out, the staff ensure you are taken care of. I was surprised with the cleanliness of the facility, the staff work so hard to keep everything so clean - and there are staff nearby to help you in any way - They helped find chairs on the beach and at the pool, and get you umbrellas if needed. The beach was gorgeous and well maintained - staff walked from the bar to the beach with trays full of drinks with much selection. The buffet food quality was amazing, they had a great selection. The shows were great and very entertaining. The entertainment crew was very energetic and engaging. Overall this was an amazing experience, and would recommend this resort!

RIU Latino – An Amazing Vacation Experience! Four of us stayed at RIU Latino from June 10th to 17th, and we had an incredible time. We were well aware of the sargassum situation before arriving. No matter how much research you do, it’s difficult to completely avoid it in this region. While there was some sargassum during our stay, the resort was so fantastic that we honestly stopped thinking about it. One thing we really appreciated was that there was no unpleasant smell coming from the beach. Our group did feel that the beach area could benefit from a few more amenities, to make it more inviting such as perhaps a beach bar, to encourage guests to spend more time there. Check-in was smooth and efficient, and Aaron gave us a very warm welcome. We booked this trip only five days before departure and upgraded only to a partial ocean-view room. Even as a standard room, it exceeded our expectations. The room was beautifully designed, spacious, comfortable, and very clean. The shower was excellent, and the bed was comfortable. One thing that stood out throughout our stay was the cleanliness of the resort. The housekeeping and maintenance teams do an outstanding job. Everywhere you go, you’ll see staff constantly cleaning and maintaining the property. Rooms are restocked daily, and if you need additional water or beverages, a quick request through the app takes care of it. The resort offers six pools, including two swim-up bars, a relaxing pool, a larger activity pool, and a pool area with water slides. There are plenty of washrooms conveniently located throughout the resort, and several shaded areas around the pool deck with comfortable seating. We especially enjoyed spending time at Mezcal, which offers beautiful views, Tequila with its great bar atmosphere, and Pepe’s snack bar with plenty of seating. The buffet was excellent, offering a wide variety of choices. We also loved that the à la carte restaurants do not require reservations and operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Our group’s favorites were Kulinarium and the Steakhouse. A huge shoutout to Roberto at the lobby bar (working daily except Sundays until 4 p.m.). He was fantastic and consistently made some of the best drinks we had during our stay. For coffee lovers, the best coffee can be found at the lobby bar and the sports bar. My only negative comment about the resort is the scent used in the sports bar. It was extremely strong and made it difficult for me to spend much time there. At times, I felt like the fragrance even affected the taste of my drink. It’s a beautiful bar, but if you’re sensitive to strong scents, it may not be your favorite place to relax. What truly sets RIU Latino apart is its staff. This has to be one of the friendliest resorts we’ve ever visited. Every staff member we encountered was welcoming, hardworking, and genuinely interested in making sure guests had a great experience. The entertainment team deserves special recognition. They do an incredible job engaging guests and creating a fun atmosphere throughout the day and evening. There were always games, activities, themed parties, face painting, and nightly entertainment. Their energy and enthusiasm made a huge difference in our vacation. A special thank you to Julie, Manuel, Tony, Polly, Dana, Alejandro, Wilbert, and Luna, from the entertainment team for making us feel so welcome and helping create memories we’ll never forget. Another special thank you to Elizabeth at the Mariachi Theatre Bar. Your friendly service was greatly appreciated. And we can’t forget Mike, the pool trolley bar guy! Your energy, friendliness, and constant smile helped keep the fun atmosphere alive every day. Be sure to say hello to Mike if you visit RIU Latino! Thank you to everyone at RIU Latino for making our vacation so memorable. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we’re already planning our return trip, and this time we’ll be bringing an even larger group with us. We can’t wait to come back and see everyone again!

Das Riu Latino in Cancun (Juli 2026) Hotel: 🌟🌟🌟 Service: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Niveau der (jüngeren) Gäste: - 🌟 Das Hotel wurde vor einigen Jahren renoviert, ist modern und die Einrichtung der Zimmer ist (fast) auf dem neuesten Stand. (ausgenommen die Betten, die Matratzen sind zu weich und man bekommt Rückenschmerzen, und der Duschkopf: ein 5-Sterne Hotel sollte eine moderne Dusche zum Beispiel mit Regenwasser-Duschkopf haben). Der Service im Hotel, und ich meine damit ALLE Menschen, die im Service beschäftigt sind, ist TOP!!!! immer freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Essen und die Auswahl der Speisen, auch in den unterschiedlichen Themen-Restaurants, ist sehr gut. Wir (alter 50-60 Jahre) waren im Juli 2026 im Hotel und auf Grund der Jahreszeit gab es leider viele Seealgen/Seegras und das baden im Meer war kaum möglich. Jedoch ist der Schwimmerbereich am Strand auch viel zu klein und der Strand hat keinen karibischen Flair. Die Pools (6 Stück) im Hotel sind alle viel zu warm und eine Abkühlung ist nicht möglich. Die beiden Party-Pools (in denen Getränke serviert werden) werden von jüngeren Gästen ganztags belagert und der Lärmpegel ist unerträglich. Doch der absolute NEGATIVPUNKT sind einige Gäste: meist zwischen 20 und 30 Jahre alt, dazu die brüll-laute Musik und Beschallung, durch das nervige Animations-Team, den ganzen Tag, Kampf-Trinken, wie früher am Ballermann in Mallorca! ÜBEL, das Hotel ist ein Party-Hotel, nur dass wir das leider nicht vorher wussten. Zum Teil werden dann auch noch Gäste aus befreundeten RIU-Hotels, per Shuttlebus ins Hotel gebracht. Diese jungen Gäste, meist aus der USA oder Canada, ohne Anstand, benehmen sich dann auch im Restaurant unmöglich, laufen ständig mit Badehose und Bikinis im Restaurant herum, schreien oder telefonieren brüll-laut während dem Essen, schrecklich! und schlimmer ist, dass die Hotel-Leitung, trotz aufgestellter Verbotsschilder hier nicht drastischer durchgreift! Hier müsste am Eingang der Restaurants eine Kontrolle stattfinden. Da hilft auch nicht, dass durchgestylte Werbevideo, dass in Dauerschleife in jedem Zimmer läuft, denn die dort gezeigten Urlauber und Zustände gibt es in diesem Hotel leider nicht! Das Hotel hätte durchaus Potenzial, aber kein Niveau. Mit diesen Gästen, die teilweise nur für ein paar Tage hier sind um eben Party zu machen und keinen Anstand haben, ist es leider nicht zu empfehlen, es sei denn man mag es wenn Gäste billig, primitiv und vulgär sind. Da fragen wir uns schon, woher die 5-Sterne kommen, auf Grund der genannten "Gäste" sicherlich nicht! Das Hotel ist, wenn man einen ruhigen und entspannten Urlaub genießen möchte, in keinem Fall zu empfehlen! Keine Empfehlungen von uns!

I just got back from Mexico yesterday. This is my second trip to Mexico I spent a beautiful week with my parents,and younger sister. This is the second time we stayed at the Riu Latino, and it was excellent. The resort is beautiful the rooms are clean, and spacious I enjoyed the Food the Buffet had a great selection of different foods, and my favorite specialty Restaurants were the Italian restaurant Milan, Gourmet Restaurant, and the Asian Giesha. The pools were clean, and the Ocean was absolutely beautiful. I also enjoyed all of the Night time Entertainment my favorite shows all of the them. The staff are always, so kind very friendly. I will definitely be recommending this RIU location to my Friends. I enjoyed my stay and Will be returning in the future.

The resort has its ups and downs. The service is good, pools are nice, beach is hot. Plenty of things going on. Oddly they have a towel card system, not expected at all inclusive. Not sure about you, but it impedes my relaxation if I'm worrying about losing a threadbare towel. Hit up the water slide! The food is plentiful, and if you look you can find some gems. I loved the exotic fruits section. I skipped the junk food. Rooms were ok. I traveled with a few couples. Most of us ended up in a room with 2 beds, some pushed together, some not. I messaged the front desk about a change, but they responded a day late, so I didn't take them up on a change. The hotel has 2 long wings with 1 elevator at the end of each. Thanks to the design the acoustics are terrible. If your neighbor decides to talk in the hall, sing drunkenly at 3 am, or get into a loud argument with their friend at 4 am, you'll hear it. Also, 1 room key for 2 people?

Came here for a solo trip, i was blown away by the helpfulness of the staff, the cleanliness of the property, pool and beach. The food was pretty good and as to be expected from an all inclusive resort. The spa was pretty good, on the smaller side but the massage was great. I saw a couple reviews that the beach was far but it wasn’t. A bit of a walk from the rooms but not as far as people made it seem. I would highly recommend!!
