First of all, I was hesitant to stay here because of the condition of the beach and size of the resort but was talked into it by the people with whom I was traveling. The sargassum did make enjoying the beach almost impossible and there are no ‘beach views’ for what was supposed to be a Mexican beach vacation: You are basically paying to stay at a small water park with a free swim up bar. The resort and its sister resorts(there is a ‘tier’ system that I never quite figured out) are so large that my friends and I were constantly getting lost. Let’s talk food- At least I lost weight because the food is almost inedible; stay away from the ‘hamburgers’ and whatever you do, do NOT make reservations at the steakhouse. I’m not sure what cut of meat they are trying to pass off as a filet, but I’m sure I could get something more palpable at a smalltown Applebees(for the record, this is not an Applebees plug). Now.. BLUE CHEESE GRAVY. No, I did not make that up. I assumed I was ordering blue cheese crumbles for my steak, when, why I was actually served was a brown, muddy ‘gravy’ that did somehow smell and slightly tasted of blue cheese. I used to love blue cheese but we are on a break now for an indeterminate amount of time. Although much of the service staff(housekeeping and Marlene the concierge), were top tier, the way that my daughter and I were treated by some of the upper level male staff was unacceptable. I accompanied my daughter on a senior trip. She is not quite 18 (birthday at the end of July) and wanted to dance with her friends at the nightclub. I gave her my adult wristband so she could try to get in. They scanned her wristband when she tried to enter, connected it to our room, and noticed that she was 17. Instead of simply turning her away and adding the $300 penalty to her room, they proceeded to call her a liar, record her with their cell phones, and make her stay until she got ahold of me. The security guard then strong armed me to the front desk and was aggressively trying to get me to pay the fine right then. When I informed him that I did not have my wallet on me, he insisted that he follow me to my room. Absolutely not for two women staying on their own. For the next two days, they did not let up about the fine. I understand that we broke a rule, but we should not have been treated like criminals. My recommendation? Go to Jamaica.

Can't rate this hotel enough as my 9 year old Son has celiac and nothing wasn't a problem, as the chef would walk round with him every day or make him gluten free food like chicken nuggets, any sort of pasta or pizzas. Hotel grounds and beach is amazing and so well looked after and also all the great swimming pools. We had a wonderful time here and ignore all the negative reviews. Just want to say a special thank you to the three chefs Victoria, Yessica and Ximena for treating my boy in the restaurants like a little prince and he was so happy eating the gluten free food he loves.

Giving five stars for the service and staff. Our concierge was Mila and she was excellent. She welcomed us on our arrival day, scheduled all our dinner and spa reservations, as well as going above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. We stayed for seven days with a family group of 8 including three children aged 4 to 7. The resort has amazing amenities and events for both children and adults. The iberostar app is also useful.

The place is beautiful! It's very spread out, tons of walking. For the money I'd call it a great value. Guest services is great, they do anything you ask. Entertainment was great, those people are rockstars. The bartenders are fast and the drinks are strong. Pro tip: request the brand of liquor you want or you get disgusting wells cheap stuff. The food was not bad. The buffet has lots of selections. The al a carte restaurants are hard to get reservations at and some of them serve dishes that are also found on the buffet. My kids special birthday dessert was something from inside the glass at their Star Cafe (coffee shop). The service in the al a carte places sucked. The italian place you meed reservations for served some frozen cheese sticks that had been warmed at least twice and the chicken parm was 1/10 burned. The short rib lasagana at the other italian spot is fire! The pizza is also surprisingly amazing they had wood fire ovens! The beach is beautiful but there are boulders in the water about 30 feet from the shore. My son and I went in the ocean once and beat our feet and shins to death. Be careful in the ocean. The AC is adequate but not great, and all the power cuts off when you leave the room so its always hot when you get back. They send me an email before i came to choose my room, i did and thought i paid $46/night more but apparently it was denied. Probably wouldn't go back. I don't regret it we had a really good time mainly thanks to the entertainment staff and lots of drinks lol

This resort is an excellent place for a vacation. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always goes out of their way to make guests feel welcome. They are especially outstanding when it comes to food allergies. Once you let the buffet staff know about an allergy, they remember you and come to your table each time you arrive to take your special order. Our daughter has celiac disease, and we have never had any issues with cross-contamination or finding safe food for her. We’ve stayed here three times, and the experience has been consistently excellent. We highly recommend it, especially for families managing food allergies.

My stay at Iberostar Selection Paraíso Lindo was truly beautiful and memorable. What made the experience so special was not only the hotel itself, but the people. From the very first morning, I was welcomed with genuine smiles, kindness, and warmth that honestly made me feel at home. Every member of the team seemed happy to help, always professional, attentive, and full of positive energy. Waking up every morning and seeing those beautiful smiles around the resort was one of the sweetest parts of my stay. It is not easy to find that kind of genuine hospitality, and the team here truly deserves to be recognized. The hotel is also extremely well maintained, clean, and comfortable. My room was spotless, fresh, and very well cared for, which made the stay even more relaxing. And the food was another highlight. The buffet was amazing, with excellent quality, incredible variety, and so many delicious options every day. Thank you to the entire Iberostar Selection Paraíso Lindo team for making my stay so special. I left with a very grateful heart and beautiful memories.
