Una pena el tema de la comida en este hotel; fue mi segunda y última visita. Les cuento mi experiencia: El buffet del desayuno es sumamente lento para ser reabastecido y siempre sirven lo mismo. Lo único rescatable fue la buena atención de los meseros. La cereza del pastel es que te piden no hacer reservaciones en sus restaurantes de especialidades, pero cuando llegas con hambre a cenar a las 8:00 p. m., resulta que no tienen espacio. Les recomiendo pensar seriamente antes de decidir hospedarse en este hotel.

Recommend you avoid this resort: The Boat House buffet restaurant had subpar quality food. And when we went in to eat one morning they would not allow my husband in because he had on a t-shirt that had the sleeves cut off. Yet they allowed a woman in wearing a bathing suit with a cover-up - if you could call it that- that was nothing but a few strings and covered nothing! Most of the restaurants were only open certain days/ times, so very limited eating choices. The steakhouse was good, but with reservations system it is very difficult to get into. No breakfast was served anywhere before 7am, the coffee shop (food here not included in all-inclusive) was not open till 8am, most excursions leave before that so if you want something to eat before heading out for an excursion you need to get it the day before. BIGGEST issue: my husband was showering about an hour before we were scheduled to be picked up for return to the airport. Suddenly the water in the shower and bathroom sink started turning BLACK! They sent someone down to figure out why but he had already gotten whatever it was (sewage???!!!) all over him. We weren’t comfortable for weeks after that he hadn’t been exposed to something that would cause health problems. At the front desk they apologized but want us to sign something (waiving our rights for any recourse?) accepting an upgrade if we returned…like that is a possibility- NOT! Watch out for the Timeshare pitch! We had a terrible time telling them no, they practically stood in the exit way when we wanted out of pitch area. Now for the few positives: Bracelet for room entry, etc is a little annoying at first but discovered it was nice to not have to remember a room key every time you went in or out. Staff for the most part was usually very pleasant, the pool 5 oclock bartenders were fun. Security is good - you check in & out at the gate, so we felt safe there.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Very disappointing experience with Karisma Hotels & Resorts and their so-called Karisma Insider benefits. One of the reasons I booked was because the reservation advertised several perks, including a complimentary room upgrade subject to availability. Upon arrival, I asked about the upgrade and was told that they could upgrade me—but only if I paid extra. According to the hotel, the benefit was not noted on my reservation. I contacted the reservations department, and they confirmed that the complimentary upgrade was indeed included and simply subject to availability. However, after filing a complaint, Karisma’s response was to say that I needed confirmation from the agency, while the agency insisted that no additional confirmation was required and that the upgrade was, once again, subject to availability. So, guests are sent in circles between the hotel, reservations, and the agency, with each party shifting responsibility to someone else. It becomes an endless loop designed to avoid honoring the advertised benefit. What makes this even more frustrating is that upgraded rooms were clearly available—as long as I was willing to pay for them. Apparently, “subject to availability” only applies when the guest is paying extra, not when the benefit is supposed to be complimentary. This experience felt misleading and deceptive. Benefits used to market and sell reservations should be honored, not turned into a game of excuses and finger-pointing. I expected much better customer service and transparency from Karisma, but unfortunately, this experience left a very poor impression. I would think twice before booking with them again.

Breakfast and lunch - Erick, Noel and Max. Such a friendly welcoming every morning. They remember you like friends. Couldn’t do enough for us. Drinks and bars - main pool we had the brilliant Eliseo, his infectious smile. He made sure we were always hydrated. The brilliant pool waiters and waitresses, I couldn’t fault their hard work. We also had Alain from landshark and the salted rim bar. He was amazing dancing and singing so friendly. Then the main guy in evenings at salted rim bar, the mixologist was so professional. A great addition to the hotel, I think his name started with ‘Gab’ but he deserves a lot of praise. Our room was always maintained and cleaned so well - Casandra The whole hotel was spotless, so tidy and modern. Even cleaning the individual lights outside rooms. I didn’t noticed any rubbish or dirt. The pool area was always clean and tidy. I never felt unwell once. The restaurant were okay, they are quite limited and repetitive maybe because we was half capacity on our stay. The whole resort was great; I’d definitely recommend but as a person who stayed 10 nights it is quite a small resort. I would definitely say this is a short break/ weekend trip which I think a lot of Americans and Canadians do. For us in Uk it is perhaps too small for long stays. But as I said no fault no problems, would recommend. It does advise there is no beach but I would say you would struggle if you are a beach person. I still enjoyed the small swims in the very warm water on the beach. One day was actually really quite clear in the water. Until the storm

We had an amazing stay at Margaritaville Riviera Maya! Everything was excellent—from the cleanliness of the resort to the overall atmosphere. The staff truly goes above and beyond, and the service was consistently great throughout our stay. The food was absolutely delicious with plenty of options, and every meal exceeded our expectations. A special shoutout to our server, Erick, who was exceptional. He was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made our experience even more enjoyable. His level of service did not go unnoticed and was very much appreciated. We would definitely return and highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway!

What a fun time. Rooms were great, Staff was EXCELLENT. My wife and I ended up getting fairly sick a couple of days in. Drinks were pretty inconsistent and the Steak House was nothing to write home about. Italian place was really good and the outside restaurant was SOOOO good. Steak and Egg Tacos were BOMB. Domingo was a great bartender and full of life. It was so clean and tidy. The couples massage was pricey, but was probably worth it for everything that we got. The hydro massage was an unforgettable experience (if you're in to sweating and freezing to death in a matter of minutes). Overall we had a pretty good time. Won't go back, but I'm glad we went! Only 50ish% capacity when we were there, and we loved it. Room service was great, but the drink selections (get more White Tequila or Captain Morgan or a little better bottles) were not amazing. Once again, BEAUTIFUL resort with a Fantastic atmosphere and staff!
