The service was the highlight of our stay. Everyone was welcoming, friendly, and helpful. A special thank you to Bernardo from the Thai restaurant—your service was amazing and truly stood out. The only downside for us was the atmosphere. While the resort is beautiful, it didn’t feel very representative of Mexico. The music, décor, and overall vibe felt more like a resort in the United States. There is a shop where you can learn how to make tortillas by hand, which was a nice cultural touch, but we would have liked to see more Mexican culture incorporated throughout the resort. One thing we really enjoyed was the entertainment. Every evening there was live music or a show in the main plaza, which made for a fun and enjoyable atmosphere.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ AN UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE — JONATHAN & SONIA DESERVE MORE THAN 5 STARS Our stay at The Fives Beach Hotel & Residences in Playa del Carmen has been absolutely wonderful, but what truly made our experience exceptional was the incredible treatment we received from: Jonathan and his supervisor, Sonia. There are many places where you can receive good service, but what Jonathan provided was on an entirely different level. From the moment he began assisting us, he treated us with such genuine kindness, professionalism, warmth, and attention that, we honestly felt like royalty 👑. Jonathan made us feel as if there was nothing we could ask for that was too much. Every detail mattered. He was always attentive, always willing to help, and somehow seemed to anticipate what we needed before we even had to ask. Most importantly, his kindness felt completely genuine. We never felt like just another group of guests. We felt special, valued, spoiled, and incredibly well cared for. The level of personalized and exclusive attention he gave us exceeded every expectation we had. We also want to give very special recognition to Sonia, Jonathan’s supervisor. Her professionalism, leadership, kindness, and commitment to providing an outstanding guest experience are clearly reflected in the exceptional service her team provides. She made us feel equally welcomed and cared for, and together, Sonia and Jonathan created an experience that we will remember long after our vacation is over. Beautiful resorts can be found all over the world, but people are what make a place truly unforgettable. Jonathan and Sonia are exactly the kind of people who make guests want to return. We came to The Fives expecting a beautiful vacation. Instead, Jonathan gave us memories, personalized attention, and a level of hospitality that made us feel as though we deserved absolutely everything. And that feeling is priceless ❤️ Jonathan, THANK YOU for every detail, every smile, every conversation, and for treating us like kings and queens👑. The Fives is incredibly fortunate to have both of you representing this resort. The resort is amazing, located in the jungle with spider monkeys, coatis, lizards and iguanas everywhere. The food can sometimes be a little limited and there can sometimes be a wait for some of the al a carte restaurants. The Bali beds are great and the service provided is excellent. Big shout out to Jonathan who looked after us incredibly well, nothing was too much trouble so thank you Jonathan 👍🏻

The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, and the food exceeded our expectations throughout the resort. Our favorite dining experience was at Casa de Rosa. The food was outstanding, but what really made the evening special was the exceptional service. Fatima and Wendy were incredible hosts—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They made us feel like valued guests and ensured we had an amazing experience from start to finish. Overall, the service across the resort was excellent, and the staff truly made our vacation memorable. We would definitely recommend The Fives to anyone looking for a relaxing all-inclusive getaway in the Riviera Maya, and we look forward to returning!

Had the most wonderful time in the world at Casa De Rosa Yaniz and Wendy were both so welcoming and amazing and really made the experience so special. I attended with my mom and grandmother and we had the most amazing time getting “magical” with Rosa (Yaniz). We danced laughed drank tequila and Mezcal, cooked amazing food, and shared a wonderful meal as a group. It was an experience that I will remember forever and that is all because of the five beaches amazing hotel staff and crew Yaniz and Wendy were the friendliest and kindest host we could’ve asked for. It was so special to have such a wonderful experience while we were on vacation! Thank you Wendy and Yaniz for laughing, playing, and dancing with us we will treasure it forever!! Please someone give these girls a raise they deserves it!!!!!

Overall stay was amazing. The food was delicious the service was excellent. You need to arrive to the dining area quite early to accommodate larger groups. Our favourite restaurant was Seasons and La Brasserie. Our server from the Epic Cabana location named Andrea Dominguez was very attentive and provided amazing service. She was always smiling and made us feel welcome everyday. She constantly asked us what we needed throughout the day. She deserves the recognition. Jannet Pat was also a very good server, she was quick and efficient. Cleaned our plates and cups right away. She too needs recognition for her outstanding services. Saturday, the pool area by the beach was lively compared to the other days. Better music selection much busier. Cons: We stayed in room 20105. The room itself was clean and spacious. The housecleaner maintained our room beyond our standards. A few curtains were broken so they didn’t fully shut. Our mattress was very old and worn out. We were sinking into the bed, we have back aches from it. We will get a massage when we get back home. The beach was quite rocky. The water was not very swimmable due to the high volume of sargassum. The shuttle times throughout the resort should be increased as they were always full.
