DO NOT STAY HERE, HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. THEY NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN!!! My family and I recently stayed at Hotel Trevi Collection in Rome after our travel agency booked us a quadruple room. Upon arrival, the receptionist told us, “You have a great room,” which raised our expectations. Unfortunately, what we found was the complete opposite. The condition of both the hotel and the room was shocking. The hotel had a strong unpleasant odor throughout the property, and the room appeared neglected, dirty, and nothing like what was advertised online. The carpet was heavily stained, with random sections cut out and replaced with mismatched patches. There were visible orange and dark stains throughout the room, damaged surfaces, dirty doors, and unclean furniture. The room was so small that it could barely accommodate our luggage despite being sold as a quadruple room. Most concerning were the hygiene issues. We found bugs both flying around the room and on the beds, including dead bugs on the bedding. The bidet contained what appeared to be dried urine residue, and multiple surfaces had clearly not been cleaned. Additionally, one of the electrical outlets was loose and nearly falling out of the wall, creating a potential safety hazard for guests. When we brought these concerns to the front desk, we were met with dismissive and unprofessional behavior. Instead of addressing the issues, the staff immediately denied them. One employee told us not to call the room “disgusting” and insisted there was nothing wrong with it. We invited him to inspect the room himself, where he observed the conditions firsthand, yet continued to act as though everything was acceptable. We also showed staff videos and photographs of the bugs in the room. Rather than listening, they repeatedly interrupted us, dismissed our concerns, and appeared unwilling to acknowledge any problems. To make matters worse, we were told that the room had not been occupied for some time, which they used as an explanation for its condition. This only raised further concerns about why such a room would be assigned to paying guests in the first place. When we pointed out that the room looked nothing like the photos advertised online, staff openly stated that the pictures on the website were not necessarily representative of the rooms being sold. The common areas also reflected poor maintenance. During our stay, part of the lobby appeared to be covered with a bedsheet in place of a proper door, and wet, dirty towels were left on the floor near a spill. Because we did not feel comfortable or safe staying in the room, we were forced to leave and spend the evening searching for alternative accommodations, resulting in additional stress and unexpected expenses. This experience was extremely disappointing and fell far below the standards that any guest should reasonably expect from a hotel.

Stanza ampia e moderna, con tutti i comfort a disposizione, bagno spazioso dotato di doppio lavabo, doccia e vasca. La nostra stanza disponeva di un bel terrazzo. Overall a pleasant stay and very good location close to various historic sites and shops. The bathroom was very modern and good size, the bedroom area itself was standard. Walls were quite thin so could hear the people in the next room almost as if they were in our room but overall clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was quite poor and not much variety, probably wouldnt pay for breakfast again if i had the option. WiFi was also quite terrible and slow. However i would still recommend as it was a pleasant stay in the centre but nothing luxurious or above and beyond.

The reception staff were rude and showed no willingness to help resolve the issue. The photos online don’t fully reflect reality, as some rooms are renovated while others are not. The excellent location was the only real positive, especially disappointing as this was meant to be a special birthday stay. Overall, very mixed feelings.

Una ubicación inmejorable y un personal maravilloso y amable. Nos ayudaron con todas nuestras solicitudes. Si tuviera que poner algo negativo creo que el desayuno es algo escaso y que hace falta otro ascensor. El personal increíble.

The room was uncomfortable and far too small. If a room is that tiny, it should be stated in the listing before arrival. There wasn't even an openable window, which made the stay shocking. The bed was very small and uncomfortable. I did not feel it was worth the price — it felt more like a prison cell than a hotel room. However, the staff were very kind and friendly. Overall, this was the worst hotel experience I've had.
