We stayed at SALT for six nights, and our experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, attentive, and always willing to share stories and insights about Mauritius, which made our stay feel even more authentic. One of the highlights of our trip was the cooking class with Chef Shiva and his team. We were also treated to delicious Mauritian fried noodles by “Sweet Mommie” (a nickname we happily gave her!), and they were absolutely amazing. During the class, Chef Shiva taught us how to prepare Chicken Briani the traditional Mauritian way—just as a Mauritian grandmother would make it. The team at the Boathouse were equally fantastic. They helped us arrange additional water sports activities beyond the complimentary options offered by the hotel and also took us on the fish-feeding excursion, which was included in our package. I would highly recommend the Full Board package, as there are not many dining options within walking distance of the hotel. Having all meals included made our stay much more convenient and enjoyable. Another memorable experience was learning how to make a fizz bomb with Pushpa, which was both fun and unique. Overall, SALT made our first visit to Mauritius truly unforgettable. The warmth of the people, the incredible experiences, and the genuine hospitality ensured that we left with wonderful memories and a deep appreciation for both the hotel and the island. Aujourd’hui, j’aimerais vous partager nos vacances passées à l’hôtel Salt of Palmar, à l’île Maurice. Nous y avons séjourné durant sept jours avec mes parents et mon frère, et les mots me manquent encore pour décrire à quel point ce voyage a été exceptionnel et inoubliable. Bien sûr, la beauté naturelle de l’île et la gentillesse des Mauriciens y ont largement contribué… mais ce qui a véritablement rendu ce séjour unique, c’est cet hôtel incroyable. Si vous recherchez le calme, la sérénité, un lieu intimiste, un décor à couper le souffle et une cuisine absolument délicieuse, vous êtes au bon endroit. Mais au-delà de tout cela, ce sont surtout les personnes qui y travaillent qui font toute la différence. Leur bienveillance, leur disponibilité et leur sourire constant transforment chaque moment en un souvenir précieux. Nous souhaitons donc remercier du fond du cœur Soobam, Med, Naresh, Vinesh, Bhisav, Devih, Dervin, Kanak, Fayaazz, Nitesh, Rajiv, Raju, Bool, Daram, Luvish, Rajeev, ainsi que toutes les personnes que je n’ai pas mentionnées. Que vous soyez serveurs, sous-chefs, cuisiniers ou membres du personnel… un immense merci pour votre travail, votre douceur et votre gentillesse. Et enfin, un clin d’œil tout particulier à Ravi, le sous-chef du restaurant Tek Tek. Nos papilles ont été enchantées par un menu en six services, aux saveurs rares et raffinées, sublimées par un chef aussi talentueux que bienveillant et authentique. (PS : si vous croisez un certain Chris sur la plage, qui vous propose une excursion des « 5 îles » avec Papa’s Dream, foncez ! Allez-y les yeux fermés. Nous avons passé un moment exceptionnel à découvrir, visiter, apprendre et déguster du rhum en compagnie de Denis, notre guide du jour.) 🍹🌞 Sincèrement, Salt of Palmar et l’île Maurice… merci. My husband and i had the most wonderful stay at SALT. Waking up to the beautiful sea view every morning was so peaceful and relaxing. ❤️ The food was amazing, and every staff member made us feel so welcome, especially Mr. Rishi, Mr. Ananda, and the lovely restaurant team. I would like to thank the beautiful lady at the spa as well. After the massage, I was flying. 😅 The surprise anniversary decorations and cake truly touched our hearts. Thank you for making our stay so special. We can't wait to come back!

Ich hatte einen absolut perfekten Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel und bin rundum begeistert! Vom ersten Moment an wurde ich unglaublich herzlich empfangen und habe mich sofort wie zu Hause gefühlt. Das gesamte Hotel ist wunderschön, sehr sauber, modern und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Das Personal war außergewöhnlich freundlich, aufmerksam und jederzeit hilfsbereit. Jeder Wunsch wurde sofort erfüllt und man hat sich wirklich um das Wohl der Gäste gekümmert. Ein so herzliches und professionelles Team erlebt man nur selten! Besonders bedanken möchte ich mich bei Vish Venkatasami Diese Person war besonders freundlich, zuvorkommend und hat meinen Aufenthalt unvergesslich gemacht. Ein großes Dankeschön für den hervorragenden Service! Auch das Essen war ausgezeichnet – frisch, abwechslungsreich und von bester Qualität. Die Zimmer waren makellos sauber, sehr komfortabel und boten alles, was man für einen perfekten Aufenthalt braucht. Ich kann dieses Hotel ohne jede Einschränkung weiterempfehlen und würde jederzeit wiederkommen. Für mich war es ein Aufenthalt, der weit über fünf Sterne hinausgeht. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team für diese wundervolle Erfahrung!

The stay was simply wonderful. We had a great room with an ocean view and were woken up by the sunrise (there were blackout curtains) and lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves crashing against the reef. The staff was super friendly and always ready to help. English was no problem. For breakfast and dinner, you could choose from a menu that offered enough variety while remaining consistent. So after a 19-day stay, you knew in advance what you wanted. The staff (often Nikita and Rewa for us) was also super nice, competent, and helpful here. The bread was really awesome. The hotel owns its own bakery and this is noticeable. The hotel itself offers everything you need to pass the time while you’re there. The service here is also a particular highlight. There’s free infused water, sunscreen, lounge chairs, towels, and even an extensive range of water activities: glass-bottom boat tours, trips to snorkeling spots, stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, and pedal boats. Here, too, the staff were friendly and competent. The hotel itself has a spa area with plenty of options for pampering yourself. We highly recommend the signature hot stone massage. All in all, it leaves nothing to be desired.

Wir waren sieben Nächte im Salt of Palmar mit Frühstück. Das Hotel befindet sich direkt am Meer und bietet einen unglaublich schönen Ausbilck mit kostenlosen Wasseraktivitäten z.B Glasboot, Kanuverleih. Die Zimmer sind sauber und modern, aber leider enthalten dieswe keinen Kühlschrank, bei sehr warmen Klima und kein TV (brauchten wir aber auch nicht). Der Service war nett und freundlich, dennoch hat er uns das Punktesystem beim Frühstück (pro Person zwei Punkte) nicht erklärt und wir mussten erst selber nachlesen. Die Preise für Getränke und Speisen sind generell für das Hotel sehr sportlich, die auf der Speisekarte zu entnehmen sind. Ein Abendprogramm gibt es im Salt leider nicht und ohne Auto kommt man nicht weit. Das Hotel war schön, aber bevor wir wieder dieses Hotel buchen würden, bevorzugen wir ein anderes.
