Unfortunately, the stay was below expectation, impacted by many negative factors, starting with the uncontrolled stray dogs on the beach, which hindered us from enjoying the setting on the beach for which we had paid. Even the foods we dined were not Halal certified, which was severely disturbing to our stay as Muslims. Also, the water bottles supplied were not duly factory-sealed, which concerned us about the quality of the water and drove us to buy water from outside the hotel. The privacy as well was not professionally respected by the hotel staff, as staff members were entering the rooms without prior excuse from us. The pest control as well was not at an acceptable level, as we found a centipede beside our clothes.

Das 'The Residence' Hotel war das 2. Hotel auf unserer Mauritius Reise. Nachdem wir im 1. Hotel (Zilwa Attitude) einen wahnsinnig tollen Aufenthalt mit tollem Personal und herzlichen Begegnungen hatten, waren wir im The Residence etwas enttäuscht. Kurz gesagt: die Atmosphäre ist trostlos, langweilig und kühl. Aktivitäten: Es ist etwas schwierig herauszufinden, was angeboten wird. Aqua gym stand zwar auf dem Plan, es kam jedoch keiner - erst auf Nachfrage. Kostenlose Wassersportangebote sind in dieser Preisklasse auf Mauritius Standard. Abendprogramm - quasi nicht vorhanden. Leider gibt es hier verschiedene Bewertungen von Gästen, die sich das wünschen. Allerdings ändert sich hieran offensichtlich nichts. Anlage / Strand: Der Strand ist fantastisch - wirklich wunderschön! Die Anlage selbst (vorallem der Garten) empfanden wir als sehr ungepflegt im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels. Vorallem der Bereich neben den Tennisfeldern sieht sehr dürr aus. Vermutlich sind wir auch einfach nicht die Zielgruppe des Hotels (Anfang 30 / Flitterwochen). Das Hotel richtet sich eher an Rentner oder Pärchen, die einen guten Standard genießen und ihre Ruhe haben möchten. Für uns war es definitiv die falsche Wahl und das Hotel ist für uns mehr Schein als Sein. Ich denke, es sagt alles über das Management hier aus, dass kritische Bewertungen nicht umgesetzt werden und mit KI auf Bewertungen geantwortet wird. Update: wie erwartet kam eine Standardantwort des Hotels mit KI. Keine Rückmeldung zur Erfahrung mit Zimmerreinigung, Preise, Animation, Light Breakfast usw.

Hotel ist echt super, Lage direkt am Strand, alles super, Service Personal Extraklasse, Zimmer sehr groß und sauber aber leider leicht abgewohnt und teilweise Gerüche aus dem Abfluss. Essen Halbpension gut bis sehr gut, allerdings waren die Preise für die Getränke schon bald etwas unverschämt. Noch eine kleine Anmerkung: für die Menge an deutschen Gästen wäre es ganz schön wenn an der Rezeption jemand deutsch sprechen könnte.

My third stay at The Residence Mauritius, and it truly feels like a home away from home. The hotel is beautiful, peaceful, elegant and impeccably maintained — the perfect place to disconnect and recharge. What makes it truly special is the team: warm, professional, attentive and genuinely kind in every department. The service is consistently excellent, the food is delicious, and the whole atmosphere is calm, refined and deeply relaxing. A very special place in Mauritius, and one I cannot recommend highly enough. I already look forward to returning.

Très bon séjour dans cet hôtel. Le personnel est professionnel, accueillant et le niveau de service est excellent. Les chambres sont propres, avec de petites attentions toujours appréciables de la part de l’équipe. Mention spéciale pour la restauration, notamment au restaurant The Plantation, avec une cuisine de qualité et un service impeccable. Le personnel y est, comme dans tout l’hôtel, toujours souriant et attentionné. On ressent réellement un esprit de famille que les équipes savent transmettre aux clients, ce qui rend l’expérience encore plus chaleureuse et agréable. La plage est magnifique, véritablement paradisiaque, et contribue pleinement au cadre agréable du séjour. Un hôtel que nous recommandons sans hésiter

The résidence mauritius est un magnifique hôtel, tout respire le calme, le chic et le beau. Les piscines, plages et lagons sont un régal pour les yeux. Le personnel est très accueillant et très serviable. Notre suite était très bien et notre majordome" Sailen" était très sympa. Côté restauration, nous avons été bluffés par la qualité et la diversité des buffets que cela soit pour le petit déjeuner et le dîner. Je recommande donc vivement cet hôtel.
