I had a wonderful experience at Cinnamon Red, and I would especially like to appreciate Mr. Samitha, the restaurant manager, for his thoughtful and caring service. As we were feeling unwell and couldn’t have any of the other drinks, Mr. Samitha went out of his way to specially prepare a warm tea with mint, honey, and some other herbs for us. He personally made sure it was served to us while we were having lunch, which was such a kind and thoughtful gesture. It really made us feel cared for and welcomed. All the other staff were also extremely friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout our visit. Thank you, Mr. Samitha, and the entire team at Cinnamon Red, for making our experience so pleasant. Excellent hospitality and truly wonderful service! Highly recommended.

We stayed at Cinnamon Red Colombo in April 2024 in a standard room with a half-board package, and only now got around to sharing our review. Overall, we had a comfortable and pleasant stay. The room had a nice city view, was clean, hygienic, and felt cozy throughout. We also appreciated having tea and coffee facilities in the room. One of the highlights was the rooftop infinity pool—it was amazing and offered a great place to relax while enjoying the city views. The spa on the top floor with its beautiful city view also created a relaxing atmosphere and added a good vibe to the experience. On the other hand, the buffet was not exactly what we expected and felt like it could offer more variety, especially with more international menu options. Overall, it was a good stay with comfortable rooms, great facilities, and a lovely atmosphere.

This is honestly the best hotel out of six hotels that we stayed in Sri Lanka. I was a bit sad that we check-in on our last one and half days. The cleanliness is like super clean. Room service is like super fast! Center of the city and the room is big and spacious with nice view. Reception is also great and no fuss about early check-in or late checkout. Truly a great hotel. If I ever come back to Sri Lanka, I will be staying here again.

We had a good stay at Cinnamon Red overall. The hotel was clean, the rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast was very good. For the price, I think it offers good value for money. The rooftop bar is also a really nice place, with a great atmosphere and beautiful views over the city. Unfortunately, my experience with the service at the rooftop bar was disappointing. I feel some of the bar staff need more training on how to communicate with and treat customers politely. One staff member seemed more interested in chatting with a female customer and was not paying much attention to the other guests. I am a DHA member, and when I gave my membership details while asking for the bill, the staff member became annoyed and told me that I should have provided the details before ordering. I understand if this is the hotel policy, but it could have been explained in a much more polite and professional way. I have stayed at other Cinnamon Hotels before and have always had good experiences, so this situation was quite surprising. Apart from the rooftop bar service, we enjoyed our stay and were happy with the hotel.

Great stay overall! The rooms offer fantastic views of the city center, and the front desk staff are warm, helpful, and welcoming. For dining, breakfast and dinner are served buffet-style, while lunch is available à la carte. The cuisine isn't particularly mind-blowing and service can take a bit long at times, but the buffet selection is actually quite good. The highlight of the hotel, however, is definitely the rooftop area—the infinity pool and rooftop bar are absolute must-visits and worth a special mention!

My husband and I recently stayed at Cinnamon Red Colombo, and it was such a wonderful experience! Beyond the excellent service, comfortable rooms, and delicious food that we thoroughly enjoyed during our stay, what truly made our getaway special was the incredible artistic vibe throughout the property. The unique art elements really added a beautiful spark to our overall experience. We were particularly impressed by the creative artwork in our bedroom, which added a cozy yet chic feel to our space. Even the vibrant street art style murals in the car park were an amazing touch. It instantly set a cool, energetic mood the moment we arrived! The hotel’s focus on art truly enhanced our satisfaction and made our time together unforgettable. Highly recommended for couples looking for a modern, creative vibe!
