ABSOLUTELY DO NOT GO HERE! It was a complete waste of money. The facilities, service, and cleanliness were all terrible for the price. I booked this place based on good reviews, but I have no idea how it got such high ratings or how it can even be considered a 5-star resort. First of all, I requested a high floor when booking, but was assigned a room on the ground floor. There were monkeys waiting on the balcony, trying to get in. The TV wouldn't even turn on, so we had to get it fixed. The room telephone volume was so low that I couldn't hear the staff, and it was hard to even connect a call. The bathroom was incredibly dirty and looked like it hadn't been cleaned at all. There was a lot of hair, and the facilities are severely outdated. The tap water was literally saltwater—it was extremely salty and made my eyes sting so badly after taking a shower. Also, I've never seen cups and a remote control stored inside a safe before. They were too dirty to use. When I asked to change rooms, they refused, claiming they were fully booked (even though rooms were still available for sale online). The female receptionist was extremely rude. With the exception of a few, the staff service here was overall terrible. The breakfast menu was also exactly the same every single day. The service, cleanliness, and management aren't even worth 1 star. The lobby and other areas are under construction, so all you can hear during the day is loud construction noise. The pool water was dirty, too. The resort is connected to Diani Beach, but beach vendors kept following us and bothering us. Honestly, the beaches outside near the restaurants were much prettier. This was by far the worst accommodation experience of my life in Diani. This resort treats customers making legitimate requests like a nuisance. They seriously need a lot of improvement.

I booked this resort online and accidentally paid much more than I intended due to a payment mistake. I contacted the resort immediately, explained the situation, and requested either a refund of the excess amount or a fair solution. When that was declined, I even offered to use the extra money by extending our stay for additional nights instead of receiving a refund. Unfortunately, that request was also denied. I also asked the manager whether, since I had already paid significantly more than expected, they could upgrade our room to a suite as a goodwill gesture. That request was also denied. I am very disappointed with how this situation was handled. I was genuinely looking forward to visiting the resort with my family, but I felt there was no effort to find a reasonable solution or show flexibility for an honest mistake. In my opinion, the manager did not handle this situation well, and the customer service fell far below what I expected. I hope the resort will show more understanding and compassion when dealing with guests facing genuine issues in the future.

Diani Reef has a great location by the beach but the resort is very poorly managed. We had several hiccups right from the time we checked in. We had reserved the premium sea rooms but they had forgot to allocate that for us. To their credit, they alloted the junior suite for us which is sea facing.. the room was spacious and nice but the air conditioning was not working. Many of the facilities are old (moss on taps, broken switches, defunct jacuzzi). The beach by the resort is well maintained. The staff seem a bit demotivated. A redeeming feature of the place is Chef Arun at the restaurant. The food in the buffet was lacking variety generally but Chef Arun was attentive to the requests of customers and made extra dishes based on preferences. He was super helpful in finding out what different people liked and catered exceptionally well to their tastes. Diani resort can be a much better place and managed in a much better way but there seems to be lack of interest from the management which trickles down to lack of enthusiasm and initiative in the staff. They need a major revamp.

Arrival was smooth with a nice setting and a friendly, efficient welcome. However, the rooms feel quite dated, and the room phone was not working properly, making it difficult to request services like towels. Breakfast is fairly varied with a good selection. The outdoor areas, including the pool and beach, are very pleasant with a beautiful view. Unfortunately, the frequent presence of vendors approaching or staring at guests is uncomfortable and takes away from the overall charm. The spa was also closed during my stay.

We have stayed here for 7 days, all inclusive (full bord). The hotel needs upgrades regarding the rooms (old and used-up furniture), especially in the bathrooms (very old and rusted amenities - sink batteris, showers, wood dors etc). There was no hairdryer in the room. The beach towels were old & torn, the beach lounge sofas were also in bad shape (the stufing was coming out). ...definetly not a 4* quality anymore. The staff was friendly but very very slow in bringin your order, so come here with a lot of patience. The best point of the hotel was the food - very good, diverse, with enough selection for both meat/vegetable options. At evey meal we had also 3 selections of fruits and some cakes. A bit disapointed were the fruit juices, not the best. Every day they had some program at the pool. At 4pm they offer a "snack" (cakes, tea, coffee). Every evening they had an evening attraction (acrobats, bands etc) *consider a budget for tips If you do not have lunch in your initial reservation, you can order an 'a la carte' lunch (from their restaurant menu) or 'buy' the buffet-lunch (20$ per day). Is a good place to enjoy the sun and perfect water, but not at 4* rank quality.

I absolutely loved the place. Right from the reservation which was done well by Mrs Sandra to the service everything was done well. We initially booked a garden view but upon request we were switched to sea view which was so thoughtful. The rooms are clean and the buffet had a variety of options with exceptional staff. Rashid and zipporah were exceptional. Apart from that the hotel has a lot of trees which makes it more serene and private and the entertainment sessions at night can’t miss that.
