So look. It's in a great location. And the staff are friendly, the lobby is also nice. However. This is a really tired hotel. The rooms APPEAR clean, but you just feel like they're not. The tiles and grout are all mouldy. The carpets are old and stained. The bed is SO soft because so old. This place is in desperate need of renovation. Its a good base but feels so old I definitely wouldn't stay again.

This hotel has not been updated since I first stayed here in 2001 and the stains on the couch in my room are proof. $35 facility fee for the gym and local and long distance calls. No restaurant or bar. It’s a shame. It was once one of the best hotels in NY. And the woman at the front desk couldn’t hate her life any more than she does. Time to put this once grand hotel out of its misery.

Very beautiful, stayed for two nights and it was fantastic, a very modern look. Had water bottles available whenever you needed. My only issue is our fridge in the room did not work and when we called for assistance they said they’d send someone but no one ever came. Other than that I have no complaints. Close to a lot and in a good area

As some other reviews have said, this hotel is in desperate need for renovation. Friendly staff and very nice lobby, but the rest is quite old. Our room’s thermostat did not work, leaving the room stuck at 77 degrees… too hot to sleep comfortably! The bathroom was pretty cool, but the room itself felt like a cruise ship and seemed dirty. We also had the amazing view of a dirty fire escape and entirely enclosed brick wall three feet from the window. 10am felt like 3am with the amount of natural light we got.

I don’t normally leave reviews because I’m too lazy, but I can say unequivocally this is the worst hotel in all of manhattan. It’s 100 degrees in the city and AC in the room was broken. They sent someone to fix it but that didn’t work. Hotel was fully trying to cook me like barbecue chicken. Mini fridge didn’t work, tv didn’t work, shower was dirty, and only had ONE TOWEL. Me and my girl shared it. Also Bathroom looked like it was designed in 1776. When I was checking out, I asked the manager what is going on with this establishment. Guy apologized and offered to waive the facilities fee. Bro, WHAT FACILITIES😭????? Only reason I booked this trash janky plebian hotel was because it was late and the hotel was literally outside the restaurant we were staying at. Do not stay here. I can’t believe I just spent 5 minutes writing this.

We read reviews and were uneasy about staying. We were welcomed by Maria. She was super friendly, nice and got us checked in quickly. She also offered us 2 bottles of water for the riom.The room was clean, spacious and modern. It was the most comfortable bed i have ever slept in. The room was basic w a small view of NYC as we had asked for. Greatful we didn't miss out on this Hotel had we based our decision on reviews! Thank you , Royalton and staff for an AMAZING STAY!!!
