Very disappointing experience for a supposed 5-star hotel. The service was poor throughout our stay, and communication with the staff was unreliable. We specifically requested a double bed and were even promised one after changing rooms, yet we still ended up with a twin bed for 2 out of the 3 nights. Completely unacceptable for a hotel in this category. The breakfast was also very basic and cheap, definitely not what you would expect from a 5-star property. Limited selection and low quality overall. The only positive aspects are the beautiful historic building with its nice lobby area and the fairly pleasant location by the river. Unfortunately, that was not enough to make up for the disappointing service and lack of attention to guests’ requests.

An incredible stay from start to finish. Every member of the team took such great care of us and always went the extra mile to make our stay as memorable as possible. The location is fantastic only about 10 minutes by bike from the city centre and around 10/15 minutes by public transport. It truly offers the best of both worlds: the opportunity to explore a vibrant city full of history and life, and then return to a peaceful five-star oasis where you can fully relax. The indoor pool was perfect after long days cycling and discovering the city. We would absolutely return.

Had a lovely stay here the staff were exceptional and very friendly. Very clean and beautiful hotel. The Room was amazing with a big comfy bed and amenities. Even had a free pillow service. Breakfast was great, choice of cereals, porridge, cooked breakfast, fresh fruit and yogurts aswell as an assortment of pastry and drinks, coffee, tea, fruit juices etc. something for everyone. It was my birthday on the Friday on our first night and the lovely staff left me a note to say happy birthday and to enjoy a free cake. I thought that was a quality little touch and personable. We also hired bikes from the hotel for 20 euros for 24hrs! Gym was good, enough equipment to work out and the Spa was great, they had a sauna, steam room aswell as a decent sized swimming pool. Robes and towels provided as well as some cosy slippers. They even have free sweets on offer in the reception area. Would highly recommend this place if you want somewhere just off the busy places but still within a great distance of the best things to do. Some really nice restaurants also close by.

Overall an okay stay. There was a situation where we did not vacate the room on time and one of the shift leaders graciously removed the fee that the front desk was adamant about giving. The room’s AC was not robust but thankfully the weather was nice while we were there. However, the younger bellman who stands in front of the hotel refused to help either me or my sister with taking our bags down their steep and dangerous front steps. Not only was this employee not doing anything, but stared at us as we dragged our backs down. Then, when I gave him a sarcastic thumbs up, he turned his entire body for me. So great location but questionable service all around.

L'établissement se distingue par son esthétique intérieure et extérieure remarquable. Les chambres offrent un espace généreux et une propreté irréprochable. Le personnel se montre particulièrement attentionné, notamment les voituriers. Le hall d'accueil et les espaces adjacents sont caractérisés par leur luminosité, leur sérénité et leur atmosphère propice au bien-être. Le petit-déjeuner est servi en quantité généreuse. La brasserie du restaurant propose une offre satisfaisante. Un atout supplémentaire réside dans l'espace gourmand, agrémenté de confiseries, situé à proximité de la réception. De plus, l'emplacement est idéal, permettant un accès rapide aux canaux et au centre-ville.

Nice hotel close to the heart of Amsterdam. Right along the Amstel which is very nice. The room was comfortable and they have a selection of pillows you can have brought to your room which was a fun detail I saw too late to take advantage of. The canal view room was okay but not worth paying extra.
