Perfect location equidistant between Centraal Station, the Museum Quarter and Jordaan. Special thanks to Noella for her kindness and assistance and to Raymond and Victor for welcoming us so warmly. Our Splendid City King Room gave us just enough space for a comfortable 5-night stay and was modern and clean. It also overlooked the back residential area and was extremely quiet. While the bathroom is small, it is modern, and we added storage area by hanging the towels on hooks and using that area for toiletries. Taking the opportunity to address some other reviews: —shower water splashing. We avoided this by facing the hand-held shower away and by adding an extra towel outside the shower. So thankful to have a powerful, hand-held, walk in shower in addition to rainfall (which we never used). —As for the WhatsApp communication, it worked VERY well. The bot referred specific questions to the correct place, eg, asking for additional towels. Hotels are expensive in AMS. Given the location and other features, we felt this was a great choice for us.

Location is was perfect, practically 15 mins walk from anything worth seeing The room was very nice, felt modern, good furniture, and the bathroom was great and with luxurious design - although less practical than I like (I'm not a huge fan of open ended showers if they make a mess in the rest of the bathroom). Only thing I didn't like in the room was that there was no fridge but I'll assume it was just my room. Bit disappointed that we found the bathroom dirty on our arrival, and the room was a bit cold at night. The duvet was very thin with no spare and no phone to ask the reception. Breakfast was poor. Croissants were fine but all the salami, cheese, salmon, and hot food was very very basic, probably cheap discount stuff. The coffee was quite bad, funny that the chef himself would go to the bar and get a proper one when paying customers were stuck with the automated machine one. As a personal preference, I would have preferred the breakfast chef to be less funny and more professional, but this is a nice character trait so just maybe other prefer that style. The rest of the staff was clearly inexperienced, reception most of all. For the price, I would not go back or recommend at the moment.

Our stay here was wonderful. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, it had AC, comfy bed, hot shower. The location is fantastic. No complaints.

My wife and I stayed here for a week and just left this morning. The location is fantastic and was perfect for our first time in the city. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room clean and ready. The one thing stopping this from being 5 stars, and it may seem small to some, is the bathroom light. It is on a sensor. If you have to get up at any point in the night, it will blind you like a thousand suns. The light also bleeds through the doorway throughout the room so if you’re like us, this may bother you. If it had a dimmer, a switch or similar; this would have been exactly everything we needed. That said, I still recommend this place, just bring an eye mask and use it to walk in the bathroom in the middle of the night! Also, the room had a nice view of interesting nearby foliage.

We had a great experience staying at his hotel. Initially we booked for 2 nights then we extended our stay for the rest of the week !Perfect location in city centre! Everything is 10-15 minute walking distance. The staff was very warm and helpful. Especially Mido was outstanding in his hospitality! He was above and beyond! We enjoyed their ffresh coffee & pastries! We would highly recommend this hotel to any first time visitors.
