Zero Empathy or Flexibility During a Medical Emergency We had to cancel our booking at Eric Vökel Riverfront Suites due to an acute medical emergency resulting in emergency hospitalization. Despite providing clear context regarding the emergency, management hid behind standard "non-refundable rate" terms and refused to offer any gesture of goodwill—not even a credit note or date change for a future stay. While policies exist, boutique hospitality brands are defined by how they treat guests during exceptional circumstances. Their total lack of compassion or flexibility speaks volumes. I strongly advise prospective guests to look elsewhere—especially if there is any chance you might need a host that acts with basic human decency when life happens.

We all had a lovely stay here. Location was great. They were so accommodating of our needs for a cot and high chair and nothing was too much to ask. The staff are so kind and welcoming we would definitely go back.

I loved every aspect of this hotel, front desk is amazing, location is amazing, rooms are amazing, accessible and chic.. this place checks out every aspect of a comfortable stay; will definitely be staying in future. Full kitchen and breakfast included when you book directly book with them, with 5 mins walk to Amsterdam Central, no other place does it better than this. Thank you!! Just a minor suggestion, can you please include a few eggs in the breakfast, that would make it the perfect getaway.

We had a great stay with everything accessible and available in our apartment. The location is very close to all attractions but not centre of the man street, so be aware of this so you can walk to the man street before shopping and choosing restaurant options etc. It’s also just a minute away from one of the best restaurants we tried, Sea Palace floating restaurant. Staff was always responsive and friendly. Just on the downside, there isn’t much option for a late check out over 1 hour, so I paid the fully night’s stay to leave four hours later. Second minor downside was that there was no daily replenishment of supplies so things like soap and toilet paper, you have to call reception and ask for it when you run out. But overall it was an awesome stay with two kids.

Fantastic experience at Eric Vogle Amsterdam after staying at the Hamburg location. Could not fault the room or the service and the location was exceptional. We will definitely stay here next time we are in Amsterdam. Special mention to Yana who advised us on some great restaurants and places to visit during our stay, made the day even more pleasant when she was working.

Great location, great rooms, and even better staff. The hotel is just about two blocks away from the busy city center which makes for a quiet stay. Very close to the train station and anything you might want to see. We stayed in a q bedroom apartment which was the perfect amount of space with amenities. The staff was very helpful with anything we needed. They were very interested in what we were doing, had planned, and gave great recommendations for a great trip.
