Diamond hotel is no doubt a legacy hotel. But it has to upgrade. Look at the carpet at the Grand Ballroom?? It's so disgusting. Aren't you going to change this to a new one? Cleaning will no longer work on this. I will be back next month for a business trip and I would really drop by this area again to check if the carpet has changed! Having a beige/brown color palette will only make it look washed out and dirty. Try changing it to a fresh blue or peach color just like how the new nearby hotels are doing it. Try to also do a competitor check tor events (e.g. Lanson Place, COD, Admiral Hotel, Okada, etc.)

Diamond Hotel Manila has that old-school charm, that’s really the best way to describe it. From the moment we arrived, the service was great. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome, and both the check-in and check-out process were absolutely flawless. We booked a corner room with a city view, and I really liked it. The room was nicely curated and well-presented, it felt comfortable and thoughtfully put together. The breakfast buffet was honestly a bit “meh” for the price. I expected more options and better quality, especially for a five-star hotel, so it felt a little underwhelming. We also ordered dinner through in-room dining. The food could’ve been warmer, and the presentation could definitely be better. Serving it on a trolley would’ve made it feel more like a proper five-star experience. All in all, great service and classic charm, but there’s still room for improvement, most especially when it comes to the food.

I had a pleasant stay at the Diamond Hotel. It offers a solid experience with several standout features, though a few minor details keep it from a perfect score. Below is a detailed list of pros and cons. The Good (Pros) Excellent Location: Centrally situated, within walking distance of major attractions, restaurants, and public transport. Clean & Comfortable Rooms: The room was spotless upon arrival, and the bed was very comfortable with high-quality linens. Helpful Staff: The front desk and concierge teams were courteous, professional, and quick to assist with requests. Good Amenities: The gym and pool area are well-maintained and not overly crowded during my stay. Strong Wi-Fi: Internet speed was reliable throughout the property, perfect for both streaming and work. Decent Breakfast Buffet: Wide variety of options, from local dishes to continental favorites. The coffee was surprisingly good. Spacious Lobby: A great place to work or meet with guests without feeling cramped. The Not-So-Good (Cons) Outdated Bathroom: The bathroom fixtures and tiles are showing their age. The shower pressure was inconsistent. Noise from Hallway: Soundproofing between rooms is decent, but you can clearly hear doors slamming and conversations in the corridor. Slightly Slow Housekeeping: On one day, turndown service came very late, though it was still thorough when it arrived.

The worst experience I have ever had with a so-called 5-star hotel. The reservation process was disgusting, stressful, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable from start to finish. I made two separate reservations, was charged for both bookings, yet only received one itinerary. I then spent over four hours trying to resolve the issue with their booking company, Atlantis. After contacting PayPal, I was advised that payment had in fact been taken for both reservations. To make matters even worse, Atlantis later emailed me claiming they had “undercharged” me for the second booking and demanded an additional payment of P3,500.00 before they would issue the booking confirmation. In other words, I was expected to pay for their mistake or risk losing my reservation altogether. Absolutely disgraceful conduct. At that point I had no confidence whatsoever in this hotel or its booking process, and I immediately requested a full refund through PayPal. If this is the level of incompetence and unprofessionalism guests are forced to deal with before even arriving at the hotel, I can only imagine how terrible the actual stay would have been. In over 40 years of travel, I have never experienced service this poor. I had not even stepped on the plane and already the entire experience had been ruined by their incompetence, lack of accountability, and appalling customer service. I paid over $3000.00 Aus dollars for what " TO BE STRESSED" Still waiting for the refund ? Avoid this hotel at all costs. If I could give a rating lower than zero, I would.

All my travels to Manila and I’ve never actually stayed in old Manila. The history and the vibes are truly different to what you get in the metro manila area. Really great hotel for its price point. The rooms are dated but very nice and well kept. I stayed one night at the Sheraton Manila Bay right down the street and one night here. In comparison the Diamond Hotel was about the same price but the rooms and amenities were far superior to Sheraton even though the hotel was older. That view was truly worth the stay if you can get a room facing Manila Bay you can’t beat that sunset. Traffic in this Malate area isn’t the best so try to avoid driving from the airport during rush hour… Bring a book for that car ride, but the sunset views in the hotel truly made up for it!

Old hotel. We had a really bad experience here when we hosted a meeting because the hinge of the heavy wooden door came off when a colleague opened it. They were bruised but good thing there was a nurse in the hotel. There weren't any people behind or they would have had a really bad injury. What's laughable is that they offered only the ensaymada to my injured colleague. The bathroom was also like something that you would find in a mall. Some malls have better bathrooms to be honest. There was also an incident where the guest was given an occupied room. Rooms are OK and good views if Manila Bay as well. The buffet was also great but for an event, this hotel stressed me out.
