We had 4 wonderful nights at Alai Crete. Great hotel, beautiful rooms, excellent service and a lovely location. The staff were all very helpful with every request and made our stay feel effortless. Highly recommended.

We just completed a 3 night stay at the Alai. We arrived early on a Wednesday and had arranged paid transportation from HER to the hotel at what I believe was a standard taxi rate. The transport was exceptional, pick up by a private chauffeur in a luxury car, with friendly service. Highly recommend the transport over regular cab or other methods if your budget allows. Upon arrival at the property we were exhausted after our 4 AM flight but warmly greeted by the front desk staff and general manager who all gave us a friendly welcome and promptly pointed us in the direction of our room that thankfully was ready upon arrival and breakfast. Once we settled in we headed to the pool where we found loungers. I inquired if loungers chairs were reserved and I was told no so any unoccupied seats were available. Breakfast at the hotel was sufficient, with a variety of choices including freshly made to order eggs. The beach was beautiful, calm and easy to access from the pool deck of the property. The room was as advertised, comfortable and clean. We were here before the high season so the atmosphere was quiet and calm, but we noticed some of the staff were new to service. We had exceptional service from Gurdeep, Irinia and Josephia. We especially enjoyed the location of the property due to its proximity to groceries, travel goods and restaurants. We were also able to easily get Bolts (Ubers) to get us quickly to off site restaurants when needed. If you venture out to the beach or street there were many vendors offering food, activities etc. We were blessed with great weather over our stay and spent most of our time at the pool and beach.

Een heerlijk verblijf gehad in Alai Crete. Vanaf het eerste moment van binnenkomst wordt je vriendelijk begroet door de medewerkers, die er alles aan doen om je verblijf zo prettig mogelijk te maken. De kamers zijn ruim opgezet en worden iedere dag schoongemaakt. Een groot pluspunt is het zwembad en de directe toegang tot het strand. Heel fijn dat ze bedjes op het strand hebben die je kan gebruiken. Bovendien hoef je zelf geen handdoek mee te nemen naar het zwembad of strand, daarvoor wordt gezorgd. Het eten was ook goed, het ontbijtbuffet was ruim opgezet. Al met al een heerlijke vakantie gehad, ik kom zeker nog eens terug. Bedankt voor de gastvrijheid!

We spent 6 amazing days at this beautiful resort and had an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The staff truly went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, welcoming, and memorable. Everyone was incredibly friendly and attentive, but Nadja especially stood out. Her warm smile and bright welcome every morning at breakfast made our days even better and is something I still remember fondly. The level of hospitality we received made this trip truly special. This is definitely a place we will return to, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and exceptional getaway.

We had such a lovely stay at this hotel! The location is perfect: right by the beach, close to shops, pharmacies and doctors, and only a short drive from both Chersonissos, Malia and the airport in Heraklion. The breakfast was honestly amazing — everything tasted fresh, there was a large buffet, but you could also order à la carte breakfast options which made it feel extra luxurious. The hygiene and cleanliness were absolutely on point everywhere in the hotel. Even the most basic room was spacious enough, the balcony was great, and the beds were HEAVENLY. We also never experienced any noise from outside, which made our stay very relaxing. A special mention to the staff as well: everyone was incredibly kind and respectful. As a more introverted couple, we really appreciated that they were warm and helpful without ever being pushy or intrusive. Overall, the price-quality ratio is definitely worth it. We would happily come back!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Alai hotel in Crete! The level of hospitality was truly exceptional, and every detail was taken care of to make us feel comfortable and welcome from the moment we checked in. For example: taking our rental car to the parking lot after a long trip arriving in the dark was a great service from George and his staff. The rooms were as described and like the rest of the entire hotel: spotless clean. The breakfast was delicious! Every morning. We had dinner twice in the restaurant and we would definitely recommend it: the Greek dishes were simply outstanding, full of flavor and beautifully prepared. The staff was incredibly kind, warm, and attentive at all times. It genuinely felt like they went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Since our 2 children were the only children present at the time (in the hotel), we believe they even got some extra attention from the staff. 😉 We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a perfect stay in Crete.
