GRECOTEL was great and we really enjoyed our stay. However, there are few things that we didn’t know going into the experience. The sunsets and view from the rooftop were immaculate, and the pool was great. Like many other places you should try get in early to reserve a sun bed near the main pool. We enjoyed breakfast at the Asian restaurant particularly (only available Monday, Wednesday and Friday for breakfast), the buffet was also nice. The white restaurant and farm expedition were our favourite dinners (see seperate review on farm). One thing we didn’t know was you had to book the à la carte restaurants in advance as they are booked out. We didn’t know this but the staff tried their best to accommodate when we got there. Some more clear signposting at the time of booking regarding resteraunt bookings will be helpful. GRECOTEL is one of the better resorts on the island of Crete. Nous venons juste d arriver. La chambre 625 donne sur une rue c est pour cela que j ai mis 4 etoîles , c est un peu bruyant le matin. En revanche franchement je ne comprends pas les avis négatifs sur la restaurant ( seul bemol je n ai pas pu reserver le restaurant White )ou le reste Le personnel est au petit soin pour les chiens et il y a une piscine réservée aux familles. Du coup pas trop de bruit d enfants qui pleurent. J espère que le séjour continuera ainsi

From the moment we arrived we were impressed with the hotel, the staff and rooms. We were a large group of 10 staying in the swim up garden rooms. This hotel sets the bar for any holiday we will go on again. The food in every restaurant & buffet was excellent. The standard of the apartments were sharp & high quality. Though the staff were the standout; positive, bright-faced, welcoming and responsive. They are a tight bunch of professionals! The only draw back that we could think of was although the weather was excellent the wind created waves that meant the beach couldn't be used.... such a shame. Though really it did not detract from an amazing holiday.

Unser Aufenthalt im Grecotel war leider eher enttäuschend. Das Frühstück und das Abendessen waren fast jeden Tag gleich. Es gab nur wenig Abwechslung, sodass das Essen nach einigen Tagen langweilig wurde. Personal war aber sehr freundlich Was uns allerdings sehr gestört hat, war die Regelung der Liegen. Man durfte bis 10:30 Uhr keine Liegestühle reservieren. Da es insgesamt zu wenige Liegen gab, war es danach oft schwierig, noch einen Platz zu bekommen. Ab 21:00 Uhr gab es praktisch keine Animation oder Unterhaltung mehr. Wer sich abends Unterhaltung wünscht, wird hier enttäuscht. Auch die Qualität der alkoholischen Getränke hat uns nicht überzeugt. Der Strand war ebenfalls nicht besonders schön. Die Pools sind relativ klein und das Wasser war viel zu warm, sodass keine richtige Erfrischung möglich war. Insgesamt würden wir dieses Hotel aufgrund der genannten Punkte leider nicht noch einmal buchen.

We had a wonderful one-week stay at Grecotel LUXME White. From the moment we arrived, we received a warm welcome with refreshing cold towels and drinks, and the excellent service continued throughout our visit. Our sea-view suite had a beautiful view, was kept spotlessly clean, and included a minibar that was replenished daily. The housekeeping team did an outstanding job, providing fresh towels and maintaining the room to a very high standard. The food at breakfast, lunch, and dinner was consistently excellent - I especially love the tzatziki! The restaurant staff were attentive and welcoming, particularly the smartly dressed gentleman (Yannis) who greeted us, found us a lovely table, and always made sure we were enjoying our meals. We also enjoyed the beautiful beach, the clean pool area, and the attentive beach-bar service. The lady who took drink orders from our sun loungers was always lovely and polite. Any questions we sent through WhatsApp received prompt and helpful responses. This was our fourth Grecotel holiday as a couple, following stays at LUXME Kos, LUXME Dama Dama, and Eva Palace. Grecotel’s high-quality food, beautiful beachfront locations, and exceptional staff keep us coming back. We had a brilliant holiday at Grecotel Luxme White! The staff made our honeymoon so special with a complimentary upgrade. Stavroula and Virginia were especially so helpful and friendly. The food was so delicious, we loved the buffets and the à la carte restaurants Tavernaki and the White. Everything was included with no extra charges, including ice creams and crepes. I would also highly recommend the Agreco Farm dinner, you get to tour the farm and try olive oils and wines before having a delicious meal. The only thing I wouldn’t recommend is the breakfast in bed, as the buffet has so many more options. Our room was spacious and clean, the bed and pillows were incredibly comfy. The minibar was free and topped up daily. The sun loungers were comfy and there were plenty around the activity pool and the beach when the main pool was busy! We had the best time and hope to return in the future.
