Enttäuschend – Nie wieder! Wir waren bereits zum dritten Mal auf der Insel Komandoo und müssen leider sagen, dass es dieses Mal eine absolute Enttäuschung war. Für einen Preis von 18.000 EUR für 10 Tage erwartet man deutlich mehr. Die gesamte Erfahrung war von Anfang bis Ende frustrierend: • Sauberkeit: Die Insel war leider nicht sauber. Die Zimmer und öffentlichen Bereiche wirkten ungepflegt und dreckig. Das war besonders enttäuschend, da man von einem so teuren Resort etwas anderes erwartet. • Schlechter Service: Der Service war unterdurchschnittlich. Die Mitarbeiter waren unaufmerksam, und bei einer Reklamation wurden wir einfach nicht ernst genommen. Man sagte uns, dass es „beim nächsten Mal besser wird“, was für uns keinerlei Lösung darstellt. • Veranda bei Regen: Bei Regen konnte man nicht auf der Veranda sitzen, da diese schlichtweg nicht überdacht war. Das ist besonders ärgerlich, wenn man sich auf die entspannende Atmosphäre im Freien freut. • Ignorante Manager: Der Manager war absolut ignorant und zeigte keinerlei Interesse an unseren Anliegen. Statt einer Lösung gab es nur Ausflüchte und leere Versprechungen. • Flugabsage und schlechte Kommunikation: Unser Rückflug wurde gecancelt, aber das haben wir erst auf der Insel erfahren. Trotz der Versprechung, dass man sich um uns kümmert, war bei der Ankunft am Flughafen niemand da, um uns zu unterstützen. Wir mussten uns alles selbst organisieren und das ohne Hilfe des Resorts. Alles in allem war diese Reise für uns eine große Enttäuschung. Wir kommen definitiv nicht wieder und können dieses Resort leider nicht empfehlen. ⸻

Wir haben unsere Flitterwochen vom 10.-18.09.2024 im Komandoo Island Resort verbracht und sind absolut begeistert. Die Insel ist traumhaft schön, die Zimmer und der Service top! Das Essen und die Cocktails super lecker, abwechslungsreich und modern. Das Riff ist auch unglaublich schön. Wir haben die Ruhe und Privatsphäre sehr genossen und kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Komandoo island is the closest place to heaven on Earth. It’s adults only and it’s to die for. We got the sea plane and landed once on the way to drop people off and then we landed at Kuredu Island. From there got the luxury speedboat and arrived on our island . We were met with a lovely welcome song. We had gone for an all inclusive package, which we’d highly recommend. They had a different cuisine every night in Falhu, the buffet style restaurant. There was so much to choose from and the food was just absolutely incredible. They made G.F. pancakes, waffles and pizza for me. They look after you so well. Naseem (our waiter for the duration of our trip) waited on us hand and foot. There was nothing we wanted for. He was so attentive and helpful. The first night there was a DJ and my wife and I and a few other couples had such a boogie…we just danced like no one was watching and had the best time ever. The swimming pool was soooo warm and you can see the eagle rays come round past the pool at about 5:30 pm every day! That’s a must see!! We hoped we’d see a sea turtle but I wasn’t sure we would. The first time we went swimming we saw one eating sea grass. You can see them on the East (the sunrise side) which is less choppy. We gave it space and swam alongside it. We saw 3 turtles in total and on the last day, I unexpectedly saw a stingray and swam alongside it (not too close mind!). We took the kayaks out one day (which you can do for free every day if you like) and we had the best time paddling around, enjoying how clear the water is. The marine life is out of this world. The fish are absolutely breathtaking. When you have dinner in the evening, you will sit and watch the crabs doing their thing but more importantly (no offense crabs) you can enjoy the back tipped reef sharks. They are so cool to watch. There’s also quite a few herons and the fruit bats are enormous. And lizards too…you will love the wildlife. We went for an over sea villa so we didn’t have to shower in the garden. I was glad we made that choice. It was beautiful…really beautiful. You are gifted 3 bottles of wine a day (who can drink that much!) and quite a lot of other drinks in the fridge too. We saw dolphins off the balcony (which is not overlooked by anyone) and there is an amazing netted hammock to lie on and look at the water underneath. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay on the island and would recommend staying there to anyone! It’s not a cheap holiday, but worth the money.

We stayed at Komandoo in January 2026 and it was a truly wonderful vacation that left nothing to be desired. Not only was our Beach Villa stunning, but the entire resort is thoughtfully laid out with great attention to detail - such a beautiful and relaxing environment. The beach was gorgeous, and the house reef right in front of the resort was perfect for snorkeling. The food and drinks were delicious and offered great variety throughout our stay. In addition, we definitely recommend to have dinner at the a la carte Aqua Restaurant. What truly made this holiday special, however, was the staff. Everyone was exceptionally friendly and attentive. You could really feel how much effort they put into making every guest feel welcome and relaxed. A special 'thank you' goes to Haazim, our island guide, Moosa from housekeeping, Biji from the bar, Wahhab, our waiter, Naren who made the most delicious Naan Bread, Chandana from the dessert- and fruit-station at the restaurant as well as Bathool, who visits the resort once a week and enchants everyone with her wonderful voice and music! you all did an outstanding job and made our stay even more memorable. We are really looking forward to our next visit and would choose this resort again anytime without hesitation. Highly recommended!

Wir durften unsere Flitterwochen auf Komandoo verbringen und wollten am liebsten gar nicht mehr abreisen! Das Meer mit dem Hausriff ist traumhaft schön, die Ruhe dank Adults only Resort gewährleistet 🤭 das Essen sehr abwechslungsreich und immer sehr lecker. Die Beach Villas sind mit allem eingerichtet was man braucht und unsere Schuhe durften die ganze Woche im Schrank bleiben, weil es eine Barfuss Insel ist. Das gesamte Personal des Resorts ist einfach unglaublich nett und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Wir verstehen nun sehr gut, weshalb so viele der Gäste immer wieder kommen, zum Teil anscheinend schon über zehn Mal! Und auch wir werden hoffentlich bald wieder einmal zurückkehren können! Ein traumhaft schönes Resort das ALLES richtig macht!

Ein traumhaft schöner Urlaub der alle unsere Erwartungen übertroffen hat. Sehr schöne Unterkünfte mit kleinem Privatstrand. Der Service war hervorragend. Das Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Alles sehr sauber und das Essen superlecker und abwechslungsreich.
