Outstanding resort, beautiful rooms and lots of variety. Resort was close to maximum capacity when we stayed but it wasn't obvious. Three exclusive restaurants included...all five star and wonderful experiences...Varu all included package is well worth it and the resort is only 45 minutes boat ride from Male Intl airport!!

We stayed at Varu for a week and it was nothing short of incredible. From the time you land to when you leave, everything is taken care of. It truly was an escape from the day to day to unwind and make incredible family memories. We couldn't be happier. A special shout-out to the housecleaning staff who kept our room spotless despite two tiny kids, Deepu who took care of us throughout, Hrithik in the kitchen, Chaya, the Kaage team for helping teach us leaf art, Sobah our host and Dulce and the kids club for being so attentive with our children. You all went above and beyond to make our stay special.

Very disappointing experience with this hotel. I booked a reservation through Booking.com, and there was no clear information stating that a deposit payment would be required. After booking, the hotel requested a 25% deposit, which I paid. Later, due to the unstable situation in the Middle East, I had to cancel my reservation. The hotel confirmed that my deposit would be refunded. However, more than TWO MONTHS have passed, and I still have not received my money back. Communication has been extremely poor — only repeated promises, no clear answers, no actual refund, and no transparency regarding timelines. After researching further, I discovered many similar reviews from other guests mentioning delayed or missing refunds. Unfortunately, I now understand this is not an isolated situation. At this point, I strongly question the professionalism and reliability of this hotel’s management and financial practices. I would advise future guests to be very careful with advance payments and deposits.

This place is fantastic! You get a local song on traditional drums on arrival. Went with another couple and had a 2 bedroom pool villa, very pretty. The service was impeccable. They also had a great wine list and servers would remember your previous drink and offer to top you up when needed. Great variety of delicious foods. You certainly wouldn’t go hungry as the bar always has snacks available if you are somehow peckish in between buffets. Mazey who was assigned to our room was very helpful and responded immediately to all our requests. It was my friends birthday and when I mentioned this they decorated her room with balloons, the bed with a happy birthday message in plants and ran her a bath with flowers. Also had a fabulous dinner at Nu restaurant. The table was decorated with flowers for my friends birthday and she got a cake for dessert as well. The only reason it is getting 4 stars is that I love snorkeling and because it is a man made Island it was better to go on snorkeling excursions. We only had 2 days and the timing didn’t work out to do one. All in all a wonderful experience though.

We stayed as a family of four in 2 beach villas in 1st week june. The location, villas and most importantly the service was outstanding. The package including food and drinks (full boarding), makes it hassle free, with an app listing down itinerary for our stay.. Mamun (Housekeeping), Happy and Vevi (Spa) were very good. Neil at the restaurant was always helpful.. Water activities including Scuba and Snorkelling under the supervision of Naja and Jahan were outstanding…being a finicky vegetarian they took care of the food requirements very patiently and offered a variety of options as well . We enjoyed our stay . Thank you to the team !

We’ve just returned from a wonderful 10‑day stay at VARU by Atmosphere, our second consecutive year in the Maldives, and once again this beautiful country has exceeded every expectation. The island is stunning, but it’s the Maldivian hospitality that truly makes the experience unforgettable — warm, genuine, and consistently exceptional. A heartfelt thank you to the incredible team who made our stay so special:• Amir, our host, for his professionalism and constant support.• Muaz at Bay Rouge, whose friendly chats brightened even the rainiest days.• Chhaya at Lime & Chili, for her kindness and attentive service at every meal.• Shah, for the beautiful handmade bracelet gifted to my wife.• The Kaagé team, for the sublime food and cultural insights — and to Abdho for the lovely handmade bouquet.• The NÜ Restaurant team, for their warm welcome, delicious dinners, and the magical evenings watching sharks beneath the restaurant.• Balal, for keeping our water villa (318) immaculate and always adding a personal touch. To all the staff whose names we couldn’t note — thank you. Every smile and gesture made our stay memorable. We also share a few suggestions for improvement: clearer smoking policies in common areas, an alternative beach setup during bad weather, more natural‑looking erosion solutions, and a refreshed buffet layout with live cooking stations. Overall, VARU offered a fantastic experience, and while we’d happily return, we’re also excited to discover more islands across this extraordinary country.
