Stay here if you like calm and boring. Don't stay here if you like activities and thrills. The resort is beautifully landscaped and relatively new. However it's location is quite remote (count 30 minutes car drive to Khao Lak). It has a direct access to a beautiful beach where you will not hear any noise from boats or jetskies. You can enjoy long walks on the beach with nobody around (even though we stayed here during high season) as there are very few other resorts here. We also enjoyed the fact that the resort has a "quiet pool" where you won't find kids splashing or loud music playing. However we missed the "wow" experience. As a Bonvoy Gold member we were not treated any different from first time comers - except maybe for a welcome note from the management uppon check-in. The breakfast was nice and expansive but also very busy and unpersonal. The food was solidly tasty but not extraordinary. We encountered the same buffet every day of our 10-day long stay with only minor daily changes. We came with an EV and were told first that we could charge it for free but ended up paying a relatively high price for a slow charge. All in all, it was a solid 5-star experience but for the price we paid we expected more. We have had similar 5-star experiences for half the price in Thailand!

ABSOLUTELY FAULTLESS. From full service check in, to mouthwatering breakfast, lux rooms, and fab restaurants, premium guest services and top-tier poolside experiences this property is exceptional in every way. Cleanliness, amenities, service, quality and most of all staff- their professionalism, friendliness and willingness to go above and beyond consistently was incredibly impressive and appreciated. We could not have asked for a better experience and will be back and recommending Khao Lak Marriott Beach Resort & Spa to everyone!!

**Positive** * New, very clean hotel with state-of-the-art facilities and modern bathrooms. * Spacious rooms in a quiet location. * Several infinity pools, a children's pool, and a Kids Club offering childcare from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. * A relatively good breakfast with a variety of local specialties. * Very service-oriented and friendly staff. * Direct beachfront location. * Restaurants with reasonably fair prices (around 30% more expensive than restaurants outside the resort). **Areas for Improvement** * Many activities in the Kids Club are not included and require an additional fee, such as making necklaces and candles, painting plaster figures, or painting T-shirts. Charging a small fee for materials is understandable, but I missed many complimentary activities, such as a kids' disco, nature explorations in the garden or on the beach, sports activities (e.g. football target shooting, ball games), barbecue evenings for children, and swimming lessons. * At breakfast, I missed smoked salmon (it was only offered twice during our 14-day stay), plain rolled oats without added ingredients, loose-leaf tea (only tea bags were available), and tropical fruits such as passion fruit and mango, which were served only occasionally. The cheese selection was also very limited, with only two varieties available. * In the evenings, I would have liked to see more entertainment, such as local folklore performances, traditional dance shows, other artistic performances (for example, magic shows), or live pop music. Although there was live music in the restaurant, it was very quiet, subtle, and almost hidden in the background. * Especially on rainy days, I missed recreational facilities such as table tennis tables, dartboards, and a beach volleyball court. The sauna was rather small, and access required an additional fee. In a five-star hotel, I would have expected sauna access to be included for guests.

Came here for 3 nights during the rainy season and must say we really enjoyed our family holiday. Even though it practically rained the entire time we still enjoyed the facilities. They have a splash pad and a kids club to keep little ones busy. We had an 8 year old that made some new friends and our 3 month old baby, so it went really smooth. The family room looks gorgeous, we didn’t stay in one but from the looks of it the family rooms had access direct to their own swimming pool and are big and spacious. So maybe next time we will go back and give those a go. They have a really nice beach facing restaurant and a cafe where we got our daily coffees from. Amazing experience at Marriott Khao Lak for my family and I. Excellent service from every single staff member upon arriving. Reception was so kind to upgrade us a few levels to the family 2 bedroom suite with pool access. Also as we were celebrating 2 birthdays, they wrote birthday messages on a huge leaf and left beautiful towel art figures, as well as a birthday cake and basket of fruits. We truly appreciate the kind gestures. Everyone from the buggy drivers to the pool attendant, room attendants, to the restaurant staff and gardeners and beach security guards were so friendly. The pool attendant who taught us the 3pm Aqua exercise at the main beach pool and also the 2pm badminton tournament was such a delight. My family was so entertained by him, I think his name is JP. He has such infectious joyous energy and always making guests laugh and he is so passionate about his job. The property itself is beautiful. Rooms are immaculate and brand new, very well maintained. Lobby was beautifully designed. It is the newest resort in Khao Lak and has an upscale vibe to it. We will definitely be back, we hope there are more adult activities in the future, like morning bike riding tours, bird-watching tours, towel-art folding class, basic Thai language class etc. Also more billiard tables around the resort to keep the adults occupied. This was my second stay at Khaolak Marriott Beach Resort & Spa, and it was just as impressive as the first. Returning for a second visit says a lot about how much I enjoyed this resort. The property is beautifully maintained, with spacious and comfortable rooms, a stunning pool area, and direct access to a peaceful beach. The atmosphere is relaxing, making it the perfect place to unwind and recharge. What stands out most is the exceptional service. The staff are consistently friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making every stay feel special. The breakfast selection is excellent, and the overall quality of the facilities remains outstanding. It’s rare to find a resort that makes you want to come back, but this is definitely one of them. After two wonderful stays, I can confidently say that Khaolak Marriott Beach Resort & Spa is one of my favorite places in Khao Lak. Looking forward to my next visit already!
