Co říkají hosté
Hotel je vhodný především pro páry a svatební skupiny, které ocení vysokou úroveň služeb personálu. Rodiny s dětmi a milovníci koupání v moři by měli zvážit riziko znečištěné pláže a kolísavé kvality stravování.
Chválí
- • Velmi ochotný a pozorný personál
- • Kvalitní a chutná jídla v à la carte restauracích
- • Prostorné a čisté pokoje
- • Zábavné animační programy u bazénu
- • Vhodné pro svatby a oslavy
Vytýkají
- • Častý výskyt sargasových řas na pláži
- • Agresivní snaha personálu o prodej časově sdílených dovolených
- • Nedostatečná údržba a technické problémy na pokojích
- • Nespolehlivá kvalita jídla v bufetu a některých restauracích
- • Nedostatek lehátek u bazénu a pláže

Troy Jilot5/5 · 2026-02Spent a quick five nights here. We upgraded to the Preferred and it was worth every penny. $400 total for three adults for the five night. Having a reserved chair at the beach and never waiting for a table was worth it alone. But you also have a preferred bar that has a small buffet in it all day and night. Just the right amount of food at the right time. Only five stories tall so the place can get overbooked. The French and Seafood restaurants were our favorites. Steaks were cooked to perfections and the grouper is out of the this world. Recommend the coconut sauce on the side. Poolside staff is excellent especially Pedro at the Preferred Beach. Relaxing evenings at the lobby bar followed by fun times at the club.
Maria Gjergji1/5 · 2026-08Only stay here if you don’t want to eat, sleep, or care for any type of service from the staff. Awful experience! Day one our family of 17 had to go to bed without eating. We waited a couple of hours for a table at one of the specialty restaurants because we were celebrating a birthday and when we asked for the status they laughed at us. They never stopped sitting other tables to make room for us. The only other option was room service. Their wait was 2+ hrs, mind you it was after 10 at this point and we had small children and they were out of many menu items. There was no other food options so we went to bed without eating after traveling all day. The nightly noise level (in all 5 rooms) was like nothing I have ever experienced. Night 2 a drunk guy tried to force himself into one of our rooms with a child in there and my family member was told to “calm down” over the phone while wrestling to shut the door. Same night, and every night after, raccoons and cats fight over the food on the floor from room service trays that never get picked up. Had to call to request pickup even though they weren’t even mine just so we could attempt to sleep. Day 3 the buffet ran out of food; we ate lettuce. We asked for a table together at the buffet and it was such a big deal that we ate at separate tables after that. They purposely cleared every other table before the one big table for us even though the dining room was empty. We had to ask for water refills several times before getting it. Again doing everything else before getting to our request. Food by the pool was out 80% of the time and all bars close at 5 except for the lobby with no AC or fans and away from everything else. The beach was full of seaweed that never gets cleaned so it smelled like dead bodies and you could not even stay on the sand most days. We provided this feedback to Manuel at the front desk and were told that seaweed is natural and they can’t help it like we are idiots. The arcade is only for children 10 and up and the “trampoline park “ is one small trampoline that was closed our entire stay. So nothing for small kids other than the pool. The cafe is fine unless you need more than 2 drinks then you are made to feel like a bother. So not convenient for big families.Their snack options are leftover pastries from the buffet, fruit salad that was syrup by our last day and sandwiches that were starting to turn colors. The spa experience was great. Alejandro at the beach bar was the only smile we saw in that place; always happy to serve. We were asked at checkout how our stay was only to be argued with when we gave our honest feedback. So at least they were consistent until the end.
Michelle Laurendeau1/5 · 2026-06Not a 5-Star Experience We chose this resort for a family vacation expecting the level of service and quality associated with a luxury, family-friendly property. Unfortunately, it fell well short. The biggest issue was not the maintenance problems themselves, but how they were handled. From concerns about our ocean-view room, to cleanliness issues, to maintenance problems in both rooms we occupied, staff were quick to apologize but slow to act. Managers promised follow-up that never happened, and most interactions felt dismissive rather than solution-oriented. The resort also showed signs of poor upkeep, including cleanliness concerns in guest rooms and pool areas. Restaurant offerings often differed from what was advertised, and food quality was average at best. Problems can happen anywhere, but a true 5-star resort is defined by its service and ability to resolve issues. Throughout our stay, we never felt that our concerns were taken seriously or that anyone was genuinely invested in improving our experience. Based on our experience, this property does not currently meet the standards I would expect from a 5-star resort or the Hyatt brand.
Jasmine Placeres1/5 · 2026-06While the staff was absolutely amazing and provided excellent service throughout our stay, the overall experience did not justify the high nightly rate. There was very little entertainment or nightlife available. There is no nightclub on the property only a lobby area where guests gather, which was extremely hot and humid and not an enjoyable atmosphere. The beach was also very disappointing. It was covered in seaweed, had a strong odor, and was so dirty that it wasn't even appealing to walk along the shoreline, let alone swim. On the third day of our stay, my nephew was bitten by a tick on his ear. When we sought medical attention, we were held responsible for the bill. The manager stated that they could not guarantee the tick bite occurred at the resort because we have dogs at home, despite the fact that we were staying on the property at the time. To make matters worse, two days before our departure, my sister suffered from what appeared to be food poisoning. She was charged $600 for medical care, which did not include any medication or follow-up consultation and no reimbursement for lost excursions for the inconvenience. Overall, I am very disappointed with our experience. While the staff was wonderful, the resort itself fell far short of expectations, and I would not choose to stay at a Dreams Resort again.
Salman D5/5 · 2026-07We just returned from an amazing family vacation at Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa, travelling with our two boys (ages 10 and 12), and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay. Although we experienced a small inconvenience upon arrival, Daniel, the resort manager, immediately took care of it and went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic vacation. What impressed us most was that he checked in with us every day to make sure everything was perfect. His dedication to guest satisfaction truly stood out. A huge thank you to Kira, our room attendant, whose exceptional hospitality and attention to detail kept our room spotless every day. We also want to recognize Israel, our pool attendant, who looked after us most days with outstanding, attentive service and always made sure we had everything we needed. The entertainment at this resort is exceptional thanks to Caesar and his incredible team. The FIFA World Cup watch party for the Mexico vs. England match was so well organized, with an amazing atmosphere that brought everyone together and made the game an unforgettable experience. The 4th of July celebration was another highlight, featuring fantastic entertainment, an incredible pyrotechnics show, and an amazing fireworks display. The activity pool staff were outstanding, organizing fun games every day and making guests feel welcome and involved. Our boys loved the activity pool, arcade, and Kids Club, and always had something fun to do. One of the best decisions we made was renting a Bali bed by the activity pool. With the summer heat, it was the perfect place to relax in the shade between swims and made our pool days even more comfortable and enjoyable. The resort itself is beautiful, spotless, and very well maintained, and every staff member we encountered was genuinely friendly and helpful. The food was very good overall. We especially enjoyed Portofino, Himitsu, and the teppanyaki restaurant. The buffet was good but could offer a little more variety, while Oceana and Seaside Grill served good lunches but would benefit from a few more options, especially for kids. The beach is beautiful, although there was quite a bit of sargassum during our stay, which is common during the summer months in this area of Mexico. The staff worked hard every day to keep the beach as clean as possible. Overall, Dreams Riviera Cancun exceeded our expectations. The outstanding service, beautiful resort, excellent entertainment, family-friendly atmosphere, and genuine hospitality made this one of our favourite vacations. A sincere thank you to Daniel, Kira, Caesar and his entertainment team, Israel, and everyone else who worked so hard to make our stay so memorable. We highly recommend Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa to families, couples, and anyone looking for a relaxing all-inclusive vacation.
