Beautiful Resort Spoiled by Lack of Integrity and Finger-Pointing Be careful when staying at this hotel. The property itself is beautiful, and most of the staff were kind and welcoming, but unfortunately we had a very disappointing experience during our stay. I brought a maternity swimsuit from the U.S. for my niece to use for her maternity pictures while we were all meeting in Cancun from Colombia. I unpacked everything and showed my family the clothes and gifts I brought them, and we left the items on the bed before heading to the pool. When we came back, we had less than an hour to get ready for the circus show, and later that night we returned so late and exhausted that we went straight to bed. The next morning, when my niece looked for the swimsuit for her pictures, it was gone. We searched the room for over an hour before reporting it because we truly thought maybe we had misplaced it. After we filed the complaint, three staff members came to search our room and even searched the other room as if we were making the story up. Later that night they came back, removed drawers, and told us they thought the swimsuit may have fallen behind the furniture. They still could not find it. At first, they told us nobody had entered the room during that time. The next morning, when my husband and I followed up at the Preferred Club, they changed the story and said the cleaning lady had opened the room for only 30 seconds between 6 and 7 PM and then left because she thought someone was sleeping inside. In my opinion, 30 seconds is more than enough time to grab a swimsuit that was sitting right on top of the bed and leave quickly. The inconsistent information was very frustrating. What disappointed me the most was not even the value of the swimsuit itself. We spent over $10,000 on this family trip — we would never lie over a $25 bathing suit. The reason this mattered so much was because it was specifically purchased for my niece’s maternity pictures, and because of this situation she had to wear something else. The hotel shops did not even carry maternity swimsuits as an alternative. In over 10 years of traveling to Cancun, this is the first time we have ever had something disappear from our room. We have left Apple Watches, iPads, and laptops unattended at other resorts without issues. It is shocking that at one of the most expensive hotels we have stayed at, the only thing that “disappeared” was the swimsuit. The lack of accountability and the way the situation was handled left us extremely disappointed.

Overall, I had a great stay. The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and everything was well-maintained. The room was comfortable, and the overall experience met my expectations. The only downside for me was that, as a cigar smoker, there wasn't a designated outdoor area where I could sit, relax, and enjoy a cigar. Having a comfortable smoking area with seating would have made the stay even better. Other than that, I was very pleased with my visit and would definitely consider staying here again.

I was here in 2022 and it was amazing and im back again! It's still awesome and good service. I love the room and great view. The food is great especially the drinks, definitely very family-friendly. I wish there was renovations for all the restaurants, but there's only reservations for the hibachi, it's fine but sometimes we have to wait a while to get seated (around 20 minutes). The beach is very nice and not too much seaweed, very nice white sand.

Nuestra experiencia en Dreams Playa Mujeres fue muy decepcionante y no está a la altura del precio que cobra este resort. Nos realizaron un cobro por la rotura de una bacha del baño, supuestamente causada por un niño de 10 años. Más allá del cargo, lo peor fue el trato recibido: informamos el hecho de inmediato, pero luego afirmaron falsamente que nunca lo habíamos reportado. Incluso, al regresar de una excursión nos estaban esperando para notificarnos el cobro de una manera que nos hizo sentir tratados como delincuentes. También pagamos más de USD 1.000 por un cambio de habitación y nos entregaron una con el sofá cama roto. En el restaurante Gaucho Grill sufrimos una espera de 36 personas la primera vez y, cuando finalmente conseguimos mesa gracias al gerente de Alimentos y Bebidas, el servicio fue desastroso: carne cruda, de baja calidad y sin una atención adecuada para una persona celíaca. Durante toda la estadía fuimos abordados constantemente para vendernos un tiempo compartido, utilizando promesas de regalos y dinero que nunca se concretaban. Fue realmente agotador. Además, desaparecieron objetos de valor de nuestra habitación, entre ellos unos auriculares inalámbricos. La organización del cumpleaños de mi esposa fue otro desastre: cobraron de forma excesiva a dos familiares que estuvieron solo un par de horas, prepararon una mesa para cuatro cuando la reserva era para ocho, no contemplaron un menú sin gluten, olvidaron traer el pastel de cumpleaños que habíamos pagado y el lugar estaba lleno de mosquitos. Nuestra conclusión es clara: el hotel parece estar más preocupado por sacarle más dinero al huésped que por brindar el servicio y el confort que promete. No volveremos y no lo recomendamos.

If you’re like me you are reading through tons of reviews trying to find the best place for your family. I highly recommend this resort for families with all ages. I have two teen boys and a 7 yr old daughter. They had something for everyone, The entertainment team did a great job. The nighttime shows were so good , to the pool and beach activities. This resort is Beautiful, clean, and the food is great . My husband and I are foodie people, the food was great!!! Was a high priority on our list. Tequila tasting for adults was nice as well. They had something for everyone. I will say bring your own floats for the lazy river they only have 4 which is kinda ridiculous. Especially since your preferred and paid extra for the lazy river. We did have an issue with the ocean view , we did not get ocean view we got a tiny little piece of the ocean. Which I have seen other people post about . I did complain we did get a new room which I did appreciate with an ocean view like you see as they advertise. Brazilian steak house was amazing!! But have your phone ready in your hand by 12:55. 1:00 you have to make your own reservations on the app. And I will say it is very hard to come by to get reservations so you must be on time. The only two restaurants that require reservations are the steakhouse and hibachi. Hard to get into, resort should fine other way for that. But the resort is Beautiful, Great food, Fun, Relaxing worth the price.

We had an amazing stay at Dreams Playa MuJeres and in Mexico generally. Beautiful resort, excellent food, and outstanding service throughout our stay. Special shoutout to the entertainment staff. Alberto and Alex for the inclusive and fun pool and beach games - don't worry my finger has recovered from the pool football!. Gustavo for the Tequila tasting education session, this was amazing, plus the game of ping pong! Jessica for the energy with the poolside workouts and my "bruv" Ricardo for evening entertainment and looking after our Emily during activities. There was another lady that was really patient doing all the crafting activities at "its a wrap" but I didn't get her name. Thank you to the entire Dreams Mujeres staff for a wonderful stay. We'd highly recommend this resort!
