Accra Beach Hotel & Spa

Be very careful before booking this hotel. We booked it directly after a cruise since the cruise line offered it as an option and the price seemed reasonably priced compared to other mainstream brands like Marriott and Hilton and was right on the beach. Outside of the beach access and pool area (decent pool area with limited seating when the pool was open for use but not very clear) that's about the only thing going for it. We lucked out and were able to get a room early, but that was the only good thing that happened during our stay. We saw other guests from our cruise waiting for hours for their room in the lobby way past the check-in time at 3:00 PM. The hotel and rooms are very worn and outdated, the shower head was weak, the room refrigerator froze everything regardless of what the temperature was set at, we tried to buy a few bottles of water our last night and were told they didn't have any and we could leave the hotel to go buy bottled water across the street. Probably the biggest disappointment was the staff who could not have been more disinterested in answering questions we had, seating and serving our food at the restaurant (we were going to say hi to our friends and there was a simple rope separating us by 5 feet that could easily be unhooked even though the staff went through it), but the food server told us rudely we had to walk around through the restaurant like this was some sort of special VIP event), and seemed almost upset that we were staying at the hotel. It seemed to take them quite a bit of effort to answer the easiest of questions like exchanging towels, getting our TV working after it just stopped, asking if someone was going to come to the bar to provide us and other guests waiting for drinks, and in any overall interaction with them. Barbados is an expensive island, so when we come back (the island itself has a lot to offer and great scuba diving and almost everyone else we've interacted with have been very nice) we will look at renting a house or condo or spending the money on a known hotel brand. Not sure about other Accra hotels, but we will never stay with this brand again. Safe travels! PS We did see the GM when we left and he was genuinely apologetic and concerned with our service. He did comp our incidentals which was appreciated.

L'hotel avrebbe bisogno di una profonda ristrutturazione e ha una pessima gestione. Se avete la sfortuna di avere camere al primo piano zona 101-104 sentirete tutto il giorno un rumore insopportabile di macchina elettrica (forse condizionatori). Probabilmente si sente nella stessa zona anche ai piani superiori. La cosa peggiore è il servizio. Sono tutti molto arrabbiati e scontrosi per niente accoglienti. Il giorno di capodanno hanno scordato di lasciare in camera la busta del caffè. L'ho fatto presente al bar e mi ha dato un caffè facendolo pagare 3 euro. La cena dell' ultimo dell' anno è costata 300 dollari in due persone con buffet molto scadente. Ovviamente in spiaggia gli ombrelloni dopo le 10 erano esauriti. Abbiamo pagato 500 dollari a notte e non è questo il servizio che ci si aspetta! Il mio consiglio è di andare da un' altra parte!

Good location, however the front desk staff were incredibly unpleasant, i was lied to, told to come down stairs for water only to be told that she just found out they “ran out”, only for her to be caught in her lie by fellow guests. the Arrived to a dirty room and got relocated.

for the money it’s fab. Great location. What could be improved- - The beach being cleaned better. Be like the boatyard it’s spotless. - regular pool cleaning after pool shuts to keep ontop of the maintenance. It’s annoying having the pool shut when we have kids that don’t like the sea. - drink service from the poolside, the bars and were slow to serve. - People would leave their towels from 7am on sun loungers and go out for the day arriving back around 4ish for a quick dip and out. This shouldn’t be allowed. So many people wanting a sun lounger. Pros - -Brilliant for the money -Great location -The food was great especially the poolside lunch menu fantastic! - the sea is lovely - loads of sun loungers - great evening vibes

DO NOT STAY HERE!! IF I COULD, I WOULD GIVE THEM ZERO STARS!!! My friend is there now (January 23, 2026) and has had to change rooms twice. The first room had no air, no running water, the toilet didn't flush & the bed didn'thave a fitted sheet on it!!! They had to sleep in a hot room with no air. Today, they get a different room also with no air, running water & the toilet didn't flush. The hotel staff brought them a fan to use because the air doesn't work. IDK WHAT KIND OF NASTY, UNSANITARY TENEMENT SLUM HOTEL ACCRA BEACH IS, BUT DO NOT STAY THERE!! They are ruining people's vacations & do not care!! There's no reason a they are giving people rooms without BASIC NEEDS LIKE WATER & AIR! DO NOT STAY THERE!!!!!

Without question the best thing about this property is the staff. They were friendly and helpful. Nicole and Sophia were absolutely the best!! They were friendly, professional, helpful with any questions we had about the area, i.e. places to eat. They are indeed assets to the company that owns Accra. We had a oceanview room....it overlooked the pool, with the ocean in the distance....a great view. The hotel room was dated but it was clean. The service at the restaurant was slow and food variety was less than we expected...by day 2 we stopped eating breakfast there. Decided to never had dinner there. I wouldn't rate this as a 4 Star hotel...more 3 to 3.5 star. The location was good, in that we were able to walk to restaurants and have some very tasty meals.
