We had a pleasant stay at Avani+ Samui Resort, and the true highlight of this hotel was definitely the staff. Every single person we interacted with was kind, welcoming, caring, and genuinely amazing. They really elevated the entire experience and made us feel very comfortable throughout our stay. The room itself was beautiful, modern, and comfortable, with great amenities around the property. Since we stayed for 5 nights and unfortunately had rain almost nonstop for 4 of those days, we ended up spending a lot of time enjoying the pool, gym, and the pool/ping pong tables, which helped keep us entertained. That said, there are definitely areas that need improvement, especially for a hotel that markets itself as a 5-star resort. The shower pressure was inconsistent and quite weak, making it difficult to properly wash shampoo and conditioner out of our hair. The fixed shower head was also leaking and spraying water everywhere, so we mostly relied on the detachable shower head instead. The biggest disappointment was the food. We would strongly recommend skipping the breakfast, as it was very underwhelming the few times we tried it. The hotel restaurant in general was overpriced and unfortunately the food quality did not match the prices ( a bad cold cheeseburger and club sandwich were 1000 THB). After our first few meals, we ended up eating elsewhere for the rest of the trip. Do yourself a favor and drive 10–20 minutes to enjoy amazing local restaurants with far better food and prices. Overall, this felt more like a solid 4-star hotel rather than a true 5-star experience, but the exceptional staff really made the stay worthwhile.

We made an honest mistake and booked the wrong hotel from the same chain. Before we even arrived, we contacted the hotel and explained that my partner only eats kosher food, and the other hotel was much closer to the kosher restaurants. We politely asked if they could transfer our reservation or at least consider a cancellation. Unfortunately, they refused without showing any willingness to help or even consider a solution. What hurt us the most was the attitude we received. During the conversation with the manager, we felt dismissed and even felt as if they were almost laughing at our situation instead of showing empathy. What makes this even more disappointing is that just before arriving here, we stayed at Kupu Kupu Phangan Beach Villas & Spa, and the experience there was absolutely amazing. Every single request we had was met with kindness and genuine care. Not only did the staff happily help us with everything we needed, they even went out of their way to suggest additional solutions and make our stay even better. That level of hospitality is exactly what we expected from this hotel as well. We understand that hotels have policies, and we weren’t asking for something unreasonable. We simply hoped for understanding, empathy, and an effort to help. Instead, we were left feeling disappointed, disrespected, and completely unsupported. The lack of care and customer service overshadowed our entire stay. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I would not stay here again and would not recommend this hotel.

Thank you for another wonderful stay. My experience was truly amazing, and the service remains exceptional. I would especially like to thank Khun Per and Khun Bom from Front office team for their outstanding service, as well as the entire F&B team for their best service, Breakfast service team always with smiling, Dinner team always professional and good take care .The villa was incredibly comfortable and the resort offered a very relaxing atmosphere. Thank you Khun Phuri (GM) always come to say hi when I check out that is more than I expectation. This was my fifth visit, and definitely I will returning many more times in the future until staff they get bored with me. Hahah

Отвратительный отель за высокую стоимость. В номерах грязно и плесень. Коридор выглядит темным и потолки низкие. Номера довольно большие, но очень неуютные. Завтраки приемлемы, хотя выбор блюд небольшой. Также я вышла к завтраку в штанах и спортивном топе, персонал начал делать мне замечания, что это недопустимо. Недопустимо ходить в спортивном топе в пляжном отеле. Что качается на положения отеля, то он находится на берегу, но купаться там невозможно, там находится парковка лодок и берег илистый и не красивый.

We are invited to join a Anantara vacation club preview trip for 4 days and 3 nights, overall speaking it’s a quite satisfied trip. Cons: *The location is basically the most far place from Samui airport, even though they provide pickup service. It is an hour drive, quite a waste of time. *The hotel has a small beach, limited choice of activity there. (But the beach is actually clean.) Pros: *Been travel to dozens of countries, this is the most friendly place ever have. 95% of the employees show a sincere smile when they see you. *The only one restaurant serve quite variety of foods with good flavor. (But the price is slightly expensive). *Room is very clean and maintenance well. *Spa quality is good but quite limited bette reserved earlier. *Different choice of events every day.(Some might be affected by raining days). *Free shuttle bus to Lamai beach and central mall. (But quite distant and due to poor road infrastructure it is quite uncomfortable, not recommended.) If you are looking for a quiet place to relax, this could be a good choice.
