Il Tanjung Rhu Resort è uno di quei posti che rimangono nel cuore. Abbiamo trascorso quattro giorni meravigliosi all'insegna del relax e della tranquillità. La spiaggia è ampia, bellissima ed immersa in un contesto naturale davvero suggestivo, perfetta per lunghe passeggiate e per godersi il tramonto. Il resort è circondato da una vegetazione tropicale curatissima che crea un'atmosfera unica. Tutto il personale è stato estremamente gentile, sorridente e sempre disponibile, facendoci sentire accolti fin dal primo momento. Un altro grande punto di forza è la posizione: il punto di partenza dei Mangrove Tours si trova a soli 10 minuti a piedi dal resort. Inoltre, per un'esperienza ancora più esclusiva, è possibile organizzare il prelievo direttamente dalla spiaggia privata del resort, evitando qualsiasi spostamento. Un soggiorno che ci porteremo nel cuore e che speriamo di poter rivivere un giorno. Se cercate tranquillità, natura, un servizio eccellente ed un resort dove staccare davvero la spina a Langkawi, il Tanjung Rhu Resort è la scelta migliore.

Spend 3D2N in the resort. Eat, drink, enjoy the beach and sleep there. Just pure beach side relaxation. Biggest point of all --> Beach is just stunning! Clean and amazing sunset view. Room is big, bed is comfy, clean. Aircond is a bit noisy, luckiy i have earplugs wth me. Perhaps the management can put some ear plugs in the room to help light sleepers like me. BBQ buffet (Sat night) and the Breakfast ws OK, nothing special. But the pizza (at Saffron) was super delicous. Cooked with their own firewood oven. Yes, overall hotel is quite aged but I can see the management is trying to keep it as nice as possible. Place is clean, food is OK, beach is stunning, staffs are great, they offer complimentary hotel transfers (on certain package), we enjoyed our beach vacation!

A very disappointing stay. Unfortunately, the staff seem to pay noticeably less attention to guests who are not white European, American or Australian. We have a 3-day booking and today is day 2. We specifically chose this resort over Eid, hoping for a memorable and enjoyable experience, but sadly it has been far from that. Breakfast, especially on Eid day, was particularly disappointing. Rather than feeling special or festive, it was poorly stocked and lacked basic items, freshness and attention from staff. I have experienced Eid breakfasts in many hotels in Madinah, accommodating around a million visitors during Eid, and they consistently manage to provide a welcoming and memorable experience. Although the restaurant was not even half full, waiting staff were inattentive. Stations such as eggs and noodles were left unattended and empty for long periods. The fresh juice had become heavily diluted with melted ice, leaving mostly water and only a small amount of juice, despite this being brought to the attention of staff. Dirty plates were not cleared from tables. Given the beachfront setting, flies quickly gathered around leftover food. It is a basic expectation at any hotel, particularly one advertising itself as 5-star, that tables are cleared promptly so guests can comfortably enjoy a buffet without used dishes piling up around them. More concerning was seeing birds fly into the restaurant area and pick directly from the food stations, while a member of staff casually walked past without addressing it. This raised serious concerns about hygiene and food supervision. Disappointingly, staff did not even acknowledge Eid or offer a simple “Happy Eid” greeting. Housekeeping was also very slow. Yesterday our room was not cleaned until 5pm, despite several calls requesting clean towels. For a resort with both a beach and two pools, it should be expected that guests will return to their rooms needing showers and fresh towels. What makes this especially frustrating is that the hotel itself is beautiful. The beachfront setting, pools and overall surroundings are genuinely stunning and have the potential to provide an exceptional experience. Unfortunately, this potential feels wasted due to poor service and lack of attention to guests. As Muslim guests, we were also disappointed by what appeared to be very little consideration given to Muslim customers. None of the restaurants offer a no-alcohol environment. More concerningly, one restaurant assured us there was no alcohol served, yet only after we had ordered and begun eating did we see beer being served. This created an uncomfortable experience and left us feeling misinformed. Overall, this stay has fallen far below the standards we expected from a 5-star resort and has been especially disappointing during what should have been a special Eid celebration. Rather than feeling welcomed and cared for, we have left feeling overlooked and dissatisfied.

The immediate spatial geography of Tanjung Rhu is breathtaking. The property sits on a massive, pristine crescent of powder-white sand flanked by dramatic, ancient limestone karsts that rise out of the shallow turquoise waters like monumental sculptures. At low tide, the sea recedes to reveal supernatural sandbars, allowing you to walk right across the shallows toward the outlying islands. For photographers, artists, and nature enthusiasts, the resort grounds serve as a thriving, live-action ecological archive. The iconic Casuarina trees and pristine mudflats form a highly active biophilic ecosystem. Sitting quietly on the sweeping balconies of the exceptionally spacious, timber-finished suites, you are treated to a masterclass in avian ethology. The resort is a premier birdwatching corridor where the air is alive with the darting flight patterns of Pacific Swallows, the elegant silhouetted perches of Ashy Drongos, and the vibrant flashes of Brown-throated Sunbirds feeding among the tropical flora. While the architecture and infrastructure evoke a timeless, classic Malaysian charm rather than cold modern minimalism, the property is immaculately maintained. The service is defined by warm, genuine hospitality, starting from the moment you are greeted with chilled drinks in the expansive open-air lobby. The resort features two magnificent, sweeping swimming pools that gaze directly out at the islands, exceptional beachfront dining options, and an immediate 5-minute proximity to the local jetty for immersive mangrove and kayak tours. If you are looking to escape the noise of the world, document spectacular landscapes, or lose yourself in the quiet rhythms of local wildlife, Tanjung Rhu is an absolute sanctuary. It is an incredibly rewarding, multi-sensory destination that stays with you long after you leave!

Having experienced the facilities via a day pass during my last trip to Langkawi, staying at Tanjung Rhu Resort was a must for this visit. The actual stay exceeded my expectations and was incredibly comfortable. I will undoubtedly return here in the future. The beachfront location is exceptionally quiet and ideal for relaxation. I was deeply impressed by the attentive hospitality of the team. My only critique would be regarding the breakfast staff, whose attitude felt somewhat indifferent and disappointing. Nevertheless, the overall stay was fantastic.

Truly a place to relax – highly recommended We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Tanjung Rhu Resort in Langkawi. The location is stunning – set in a მშვიდ and secluded bay with a very long, beautiful beach. The entire resort is spacious, very well maintained, and has a relaxing, high-end atmosphere. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Food was a big highlight: generous portions, great quality, and a wide variety across the different restaurants. For a 5-star resort, the price-performance ratio is excellent – you don’t feel the need to go outside for meals. The pool area is fantastic: there is a dedicated adults-only pool and a very large pool suitable for families, where you can actually swim comfortably. There are always enough sunbeds available at both the beach and the pool. One honest note: the sea is a bit darker and not the typical turquoise color. If that’s important to you, it’s something to keep in mind. However, the beach itself is beautiful and very spacious. There are also water sports available directly at the resort. Great location – only about 30 minutes from the airport. Tip: Definitely book a sea view room – the sunsets are absolutely stunning. Conclusion: A beautiful and peaceful 5-star resort with great value for money. We felt very comfortable and would definitely come back.
