We are currently staying at this Sandals resort, and I want to start by saying that the resort itself is beautiful and the service from the regular staff has been amazing. The entertainment team has also been great, especially Michael. He has been awesome and has really helped make our stay enjoyable. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about our experience with the Loyalty booking team at this resort. We feel that we were misled and, quite frankly, lied to about what we were being offered and what we were booking. We have booked through Loyalty at every Sandals resort we have visited and have always felt comfortable doing so. Because of those previous experiences, we trusted what we were being told here. After this experience, I do not trust the Loyalty team at this particular resort at all. I want to make that distinction very clear because this is not a complaint about Sandals as a whole or about the people taking care of us during our stay. The normal resort staff and entertainment staff have been wonderful. Our issue is specifically with the way the Loyalty booking process was handled and the information we were given. It is disappointing because we have been loyal Sandals guests and have continued booking future trips while at the resorts. We expect honesty and transparency when making those decisions, especially when we are booking based on what a Loyalty representative tells us. The resort has been beautiful and our stay has otherwise been great, but our experience with the Loyalty team here has seriously damaged our trust in booking through them again.

Never left a review while still staying at the place, but there’s always a first time. Bottom line, spend your hard earned money some place else. This “resort” is so no worth it. Chaotic service, completely disinterested management, run down place. Point 1 - we were figuratively speaking held hostages upon arrival because our bags weren’t delivered until two hours after we entered our room. I had a little suspicion that they don’t know what they are doing as upon arrival they whisked our carry on bags so we would have the privilege to have someone bring those to our room. I told them - hey, those are carry on-s with no name tag. How would you know which room to bring those to since we are not checked in yet? Not to worry. We’ll bring them in no time. 2 hours later our bags still haven’t arrived after several phone calls. I’m on a limited time here. I want to hit the beach right away after arrival but how do I do that in my jeans (since my swimming shorts are in my bag)? Not the first time this has happened. Subsequently I read a review left by Mica Dean 8 months ago complaining of the same problem. Sandals profusely apologies to Mica in their canned response, but apparently didn’t make a note of it. One hour wait time for room service. Lady cleaning the room opened the door to our room PM while we were taking a nap without knocking twice in a matter of 10 minutes. First time - hey, we are sleeping. Not now. 10 minutes later same opening the door which completely woke us up. Hey, don’t you have a do not disturb tag (there wasn’t one in the room)? And the lady hands me one. Uh, a little too late, don’t you think? Also? dear Duck Pub bartenders, how hard is it to make a bloody merry without having to sniff the bloody merry mix first and for me to wait 10 minutes to get it? The planned events are inaccurate. And here’s the kicker. Came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Told them the date of our anniversary while checking on online. Gentleman who checked us in asked us whether we are celebrating something. Yes, sir. Our wedding anniversary is tomorrow. So, what was the result? Crickets. I didn’t expect much. Just leave a card in the room. Or a flower may be. Nada. No recognition whatsoever. And hey, Sandals, spare me your apologetic canned response to my review as expected. Because nothing will change

My husband and I have been vacationing at Sandals for the last 25 years. We had our honeymoon here in Antigua 25 years ago, and decided to celebrate our 25th anniversary here during reunion week. It has been the worst vacation ever. The staff here is rude and not attentive. We pay extra for the butler elite service, which I usually really enjoy. On this trip, the service hasn’t given me anything I couldn’t have gotten on my own. We have 3 different butlers covering us and they don’t communicate with each other. Our breakfast orders have been wrong every day that we’ve been here. The planning and preparation for reunion week has been poor at best. Nothing has been well organized. We definitely won’t be coming back to Sandals Antigua and I’m seriously rethinking the whole Sandals thing. There are many all inclusive couples resorts out there, and maybe it’s time for a change.

My wife and I went for our honeymoon and had a great time. The pools were nice, and the beach was great and easy to get chairs to lay out on. The biggest issue was the cats. I am allergic and did not know the amount of cats that would be on campus. They were everywhere. Would absolutely go back if not for the cats.

Just finished my stay, the resort location is awesome and the beach is beautiful. Although outdated, I really like the classic Caribbean decor and style. Overall, the service and staff were terrific. The photographers really stood out to us as they were always so pleasant and friendly. The food was great yet some of the restaurants that required a reservation were difficult to get into even though the resort wasnt near full capacity. Wish the restaurants were more like Excellence resorts that you just show up to, no reservations required. Resort def could use some updating like a more iconic main bar and more healthier food and snack options. The wild cats are actually a great detail and we loved Sampson and Delilah. The entertainment was definitely lackluster, definitely needs improvement. All in all, if you’re a beach person, this resort is the place for you.

We just went for our 20th anniversary and it was everything we could have wanted and more. We opted for Butler service (but didn't do some things that others have done in YouTube videos--they definitely get taken advantage of I think), and our three ladies definitely helped make our vacation so much better. It was our first trip there, so they were a huge help just guiding us on what/how to do things. The sunsets were phenomenal, the food was amazing, the pools with swim up bars were so cool--and they didn't make the drinks so strong that you'd be sick after drinking all day. We stayed 7 full days, and honestly even though we did everything we wanted to we could have stayed longer easily. You need a good sunscreen, being that far South/close to the equator. We used SunBum 50 spf, NOT the spray but the lotion, or you will be sunburned. Reapply as recommended. We saw a LOT of beet red people in the pool who probably wished they had. The main lobby has two beautiful Scarlet Macaws, Samson and Delilah, and they get to have time outside of their cage during the day so if you're lucky you might get to hold Delilah in your arm for a couple of minutes! One thing that the travel agent YouTube videos won't tell you is that on the beach you will be approached by locals selling they make or otherwise sell and they can be very aggressive if you're not firm with saying "No" if you don't want anything. The vendors that rent water activities will also approach you but are not as aggressive. Overall I highly recommend, and we already reserved our next trip. We were not disappointed!! Enjoy a few of the pics from the beach, a couple of the restaurants, and Samson & Delilah.
