THB Lanzarote Beach

I would rate this hotel as a 3 star. The location is brilliant, we had a pool view, the sea view would have been much better. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The issue we had was the room, signs of wear and tear generally, broken door surrounds, stains on chairs and bed. Bathroom had mould actually in the door bottom and all round the shower's silicon. Fridge door shelf broken so could not put milk in it. Not enough plug points constantly switching devices and appliances with TV and kettle plugs near tv. No plug in kitchen, so had to move toaster to another plug to use it... But what concerned us the most was we had 4 bed bugs over the week and 1 cockroach. We were most concerned about the bugs biting us in the bed and we literally stripped the beds, and moved furniture searching for the bugs. And as with most hotels we had dirty feet and had to buy slippers. We are very easy going so it did not ruin the trip, but we would not go again unless the rooms were upgraded. I believe this has happened to some blocks but not our block, block 4. Also, everyday we would get drain smells around the pool, but I don't think this is the hotel, more just a problem with the general area. Update - I have now come out with bed bugs bites all over both arms and on 1 leg. I believe they are bed bug bites as they have been identified and apparently it can take 1-14 days for the bites to show on your skin. So we were in room 4212 and my husband has told me one night on he a bed bug coming out of the ceiling out of a tiny crack as well, so that makes 5 definite sightings. I also have photos of the bed bug. I go on holiday regularly and this has NEVER happened before. We wish we had requested a room change now. Please be aware. Furthermore the hotel has requested that I remove my post as it is affecting business. I will not remove as this is a fair and honest review and the most important thing for a hotel to provide is to have a clean and safe room to sleep in. I have been unable to add photos to this reviews but if you look on trip advisor, you will see a few photos I posted on there. I will leave this review now.

Nous avons séjourné 10 jours en septembre dans cet établissement et le bilan est malheureusement très négatif. L’hôtel est particulièrement vieillissant : l'humidité est très présente et les peintures s'écaillent un peu partout dans les espaces communs et les couloirs. Pour couronner le tout, nous avons eu la mauvaise surprise de croiser des cafards à plusieurs reprises durant notre séjour : deux vivants dans notre salle de bain, deux gros spécimens morts dans les couloirs, et même un petit au niveau du buffet du petit-déjeuner... Ce problème d'hygiène est inacceptable. En ce qui concerne les équipements et services : - Piscine : Elle n'est pas chauffée et l'eau était très froide. De plus, dès 8h du matin, tous les transats sont réservés par des serviettes sans que personne ne contrôle la situation. Résultat : nous ne nous sommes même pas baignés une seule fois. - Parking : Une vraie galère. L'hôtel ne dispose que d'une quinzaine de places pour l'ensemble des clients. Nous avons dû nous garer chaque jour dans les rues adjacentes. - Ménage et tranquillité : Tous les matins à 8h00, nous étions réveillés par la femme de ménage qui faisait un bruit important juste à côté de notre porte (la réserve étant située juste à côté). Quant au ménage dans la chambre, il est quasi inexistant : le personnel se contente juste de refaire le lit et de vider les poubelles. - Chambre et sanitaires : La chambre est certes spacieuse, mais les deux lits simples n'arrêtent pas de se séparer. Nous avons également dû composer pendant ces 10 jours avec un lavabo bouché et une chasse d'eau qui fuyait en continu. - Petit-déjeuner : Situé au sous-sol, il est très basique et répétitif (« sans plus »), on en fait très vite le tour lors d'un long séjour. Les rares points positifs : L'emplacement idéal au centre de l'île (pratique pour explorer le Nord comme le Sud) avec de nombreux commerces et restaurants à proximité, ainsi que le personnel de la réception, qui s'est montré aimable et serviable tout au long du séjour. En conclusion, malgré la gentillesse de l'accueil et le bon emplacement, l'état de l'hôtel et le manque d'entretien gâchent complètement l'expérience. Nous ne recommandons pas.

We had a brilliant time in May at this hotel and cannot recommend it highly enough. The hotel was clean and our room was serviced every single day to a very high standard. The dining experience was really good.The food was consistently fresh and the service in the restaurant was incredibly efficient. We would especially like to mention Giselle, who was absolutely outstanding. She was attentive, friendly, and exceptionally professional! Finally, the location is superb. The sea view was amazing, one of the best I have ever experienced.

We had a fantastic stay at THB Lanzarote and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday from start to finish. The hotel is in a great location, the rooms were clean, comfortable and well maintained, and there was a good variety of food throughout our stay. The breakfasts were particularly good, with plenty of choice each morning. A special mention has to go to Daniel from the entertainment team. He was incredibly welcoming, friendly and genuinely went above and beyond to make everyone’s holiday enjoyable. Although the hotel wasn’t particularly busy during our stay, Daniel did an amazing job bringing guests together through the activities and games. He not only made us feel included but also helped us meet and socialise with other guests, leading to friendships we probably wouldn’t have made otherwise. His enthusiasm, kindness and positive attitude really made a difference to our experience. Overall, we had a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend THB Lanzarote to anyone looking for a welcoming place to stay. Thank you to Daniel and all the staff for making our holiday so memorable.

Although we went early in the season I think the rooms need a bit of updating and repair. The room we stayed in you had to slam the door to close it as it was coming away from the hinges, the joining room door was similar however not as bad as ours. Inside the rooms, in the bathroom the architrave was split and water damaged. The room sizes were good for us. We had 2 rooms due to having 5 people in the party, the bigger of the 2 rooms had its own kitchen area with a hob and microwave as well as a sitting area near the balcony. The smell at block 2 wasnt the best, with the wind coming through the gap at block 2 the smell carries up to the pool side. We paid for the breakfast which had a good discount, the selection made it worthwhile. The hotel location is good, right next to the beach. We hired a car to get around, the car hire place at the hotel was well priced with no deposit needed like the airport hire companies ask for. The staff at both the hotel and car hire place are brilliant, friendly and help out as much as they can. We booked a taxi via the hotel to take us back to the airport which considering we needed it for 5 passengers it was similar in price to what we would have paid at home. We tried 2 restaurants during our holiday, a small place just at the back of block 2 next to the beach Jack Daniels Bar, we also went to Cesare Ristorante Italiano. I would recommend both these places for meals.

Pasé un fin de semana y la verdad que el hotel no es de mi agrado. Quiero destacar el servicio por parte del personal que ha sido muy bueno e incluso nos dieron una de las habitaciones que reformaron de último, con vistas a la playa de las cucharas y amplia, pero sin embargo el baño olía fatal. Por otra parte, las zonas comunes no estaban muy bien, no funcionaba los ascensores, el agua de la piscina estaba muy turbia y había una cucharacha en el pasamanos de esta. Con respecto a la comida, no se come mal, pero nada destacable. Sin embargo, el personal del hotel se portó muy bien en todo momento, haciendo mención especial a la camarera Ely y al recepcionista Alexis.
