Hotel Ramada Sofia City Centre

Do NOT stay at this hotel. This place has absolutely nothing to do with Ramada apart from the name. As someone who has traveled to more than 20 countries and stayed in dozens of hotels, this was hands down the worst hotel experience of my life. This is not a Ramada in any meaningful sense. It is an extremely old, worn-down hotel that seems to have simply bought the franchise name. The interior is outdated and neglected. The rooms are falling apart, the carpets are filthy and ancient, the ceilings look unclean, there is mold, the sink drain was clogged, and when we tried to use the bathtub, dirty water came out. Basic amenities were missing in the room, such as slippers and other essentials. The spa experience was another disaster. The staff there was rude and unwelcoming. Despite staying at the hotel, we were not given towels or caps, and we were not provided with the required spa wristbands. We were told that one wristband was “enough” for two people, while everyone else clearly had towels, bathrobes, and proper access. Whether this was discrimination or simply poor attitude, I do not know, but the behavior was unacceptable. The worst part of this hotel is the staff. They are rude, unprofessional, and clearly unable to communicate or manage basic hotel operations. The final incident was the last straw. When checking in, we asked about late checkout. The receptionist explicitly told us that late checkout was arranged until 2:00 PM and that no one would disturb us. Despite this, housekeeping opened our door at 12:00 PM without knocking. Then at 1:40 PM, a bellboy came and aggressively told us to leave the room. When we explained that we had late checkout until 2:00 PM, he rudely said that “there is no such thing in the system” and told us to talk to reception. This late checkout was arranged by reception themselves. The situation escalated unnecessarily, and the bellboy’s behavior was intimidating and extremely unprofessional. We left immediately just to avoid further conflict. Afterward, the same bellboy casually claimed that there was “no problem,” despite having acted aggressively moments before. Once again: do not stay here. You are far better off staying in an apartment, hostel, or anywhere else. At least you will save your nerves and avoid a completely ruined stay.

Çok eski bir otel, odadaki tüm eşyalar neredeyse otelin açıldığı yıldan kalma. Düşünün ki 8saat araba kullanmışsınız ve odanızda dinlenmek istiyorsunuz, o da ne ? Otelde tadilat var !!! Hemde hergün 10.00am - 5.00pm arasında. Bu bilgi Önceden verilseydi başka otelde kalırdık, gündüz otelde istirahat etmek mümkün değil !!! Resepsiyona yazı asmışlar, ben 850km araba kullanıp resepsiyona kadar geldikten sonra ne önemi var ? Casinosu genel olarak müşterinin parasına almaya programlı, kazanma ihtimaliniz çok zayıf ve sürekli her girişinizde pasaportunuzun yanında olması lazım, yoksa almıyorlar. Kahvaltı salonu buz gibi. Açıkcası bir daha tercih etmeyeceğiz !

My recent stay at the Ramada by Wyndham Sofia City Centre was an average experience overall. There were some notable highlights during my stay, specifically thanks to two standout staff members, Ibrahem and Mariana. They were both professional, helpful & provided excellent customer service & truly making me feel welcome 😍😍. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the rest of the staff. Most of the staff require proper customer service training, as there attitude & approach to treating guests fell short for a hotel of this tier.

Abbiamo passato io e il mio ragazzo una notte in hotel, tutto fantastico. Camere pulite, colazione ottima e personale molto gentile e cortese. Un ringraziamento speciale va a Burak che ci ha accolti in modo impeccabile, con la sua simpatia e gentilezza. Consigliamo vivamente!

We had no problems at all at Ramada; the staff were very respectful, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. Advantage: Located on Vitosha Boulevard, considered the heart of Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, it's within walking distance of a popular pedestrian and shopping area stretching over 1 km from St. Nedelya Church to the National Palace of Culture (NDK), offering easy access to cafes and 24/7 restaurants.

First of all, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Mr. Burak, who greeted us at the reception. We checked into the hotel yesterday. Our rooms are very nice and clean. The breakfast was very good and the cleanliness was excellent. I would like to thank the staff, the manager and all the employees. From now on, when I think of Sofia, Ramada Hotel will come to mind. Furthermore, we were very pleased to see someone like Mr. Burak so friendly at the reception. I would stay at this hotel again for Mr. Burak. Thank you, Mr. Burak and Ramada Hotel.
