The area fantastic. The people lovely. The hotel and beach location amazing. The hotel staff so so nice and helpful. The hotel breakfast was very nice. However the hotel interior was lacking. The room carpet was filthy the air conditioning was terrible the temperature never got below 25 degrees with the humidity at a constant 75-80%. They tried to fix it but to no avail. Me and my wife both caught a bad cold and cough from the air conditioning. When out of the hotel I could breathe a lot easier.

Loved the hotel. A great location with access to the promenade. Most places were very walkable from the hotel. Just one note to be aware that the beach club is an additional 35 euro per person. Also you need to book the beach club ahead. I think this should be clear when booking. It wouldn’t make me less likely to book but it’s good to have the information before you go.

This was probably the nicest room we stayed in in France! The location is perfect: so close to Castle Hill and the stores in the center of town; and, of course, it was right by the water! The staff was so friendly and helpful; the man who checked us in upgraded us to a nicer room and gave us lots of recommendations for what to do in our one day in Nice. The breakfast was delicious in the morning, as well! My only complaint would be that the elevator and hallways felt a bit rundown, but the rooms, location, and service completely made up for it.

We stayed at Hotel Nice Beau Rivage for 6 nights and had a wonderful stay. The location is so central to Old Nice, the beach and the train station, which made it an overall great location for being able to explore both Nice and other parts of the Riviera. The bathroom in our room was weird, I'm not sure if they were all like that or if we had a handicapped accessible room. Every time we used the shower it was impossible to not get the entire bathroom floor wet.

I stayed at Hotel Beau Rivage in Nice for 2 nights, and found the location to be absolutely perfect—right in the heart of everything. I had a courtyard-view room, which was extremely quiet, a big plus. The room itself was spacious, but I was a bit disappointed with what was marketed as a “Privilege Comfort Room.” I had booked it expecting a more upscale, comfortable experience, but it turned out to be more like a basic family room with nothing particularly special. Since I booked directly and specified I was traveling alone, it would have been helpful if this had been clearer at the time of booking. Small details were also lacking—for example, there wasn’t even conditioner provided in the room. Breakfast was included, which was convenient, but I wouldn’t pay extra for it. The buffet was quite small with very limited choices. On the positive side, the reception staff were extremely welcoming and always smiling, which made a great impression. However, my last experience was a bit inconsistent. On the day of check-out, I asked if I could use my welcome drink at the bar and was told yes. Although the bar is supposed to be open from 11 AM to midnight, after sitting there for about 45 minutes, I was told it was closed. The maintenance of the downstair bathroom is extremely borderline... Overall, while I really appreciated the location and the friendliness of the reception team, there are many hotels in the area. For that reason, I would likely try a different one next time.

Misleading "Private Beach" – Hidden Fees & Poor Communication . While this hotel advertises a private beach, the access is not included in the accommodation price. You have to pay an extra €35 (cash only) per day, and you’re required to reserve a spot a full day in advance – something the staff failed to mention when I checked in, despite my explicitly stating I was staying there specifically to use the beach. On my second day, I arrived only to be told that all sunbeds were all taken and that I should have come before 12:30 – again, information that the staff should communicated but failed to do so(it was written in the finest print on a piece of paper they gave me). I did receive a refund, but by then, my only full day in Nice was wasted, and I never got to enjoy the beach at all. Very disappointing experience. If you’re booking this hotel for the beach, be prepared for extra costs, rigid rules, and little to no help from staff.
