Hotel Allegro Madeira

We stayed at Allegro Madeira for 5 days and enjoyed our stay from the day of arrival until the day we left. We were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and had informed the hotel during booking. We also contacted them prior to our arrival with questions and requests and received informative and friendly responses. Our flight arrived early in the day, and our room was not ready yet, but they processed our paperwork and let us put our luggage in storage in the meantime. We asked if we could use the pool before checking in and we were given towels and access to change room. After checking in, we received a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine and a very thoughtful note about celebrating our anniversary. The breakfast buffet was one of the best hotel breakfasts we have encountered. They had so many choices of bread, pastries, fruits, and hot items. They also had an omelet station, cold cuts, and breakfast desserts. Our room was spacious, we had a panoramic view, two balconies, a sofa, and a chaise. They provided robes, slippers, bottles of water, personal amenities like shaving kit, dental kit and vanity kit. We ordered food and drinks at the pool and service was prompt and food was tasty. We also ordered room service one night from the app while we were still on the way back to the hotel and was very appreciative that they were able to accommodate this right before service was ending. They also prepared a breakfast to go kit for us on the last day since our flight was leaving before the breakfast hours. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, appreciate the friendly and accommodating staff, breakfast was amazing, and would recommend and stay here again. Thanks to Natercia and Luis for going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

We had a wonderful stay at Allegro Hotel. The hotel is exceptionally clean, and the entire staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. One of the highlights of our stay was the beautiful ocean view from our balcony—it was the perfect way to start and end each day. We'd also like to give a special thank you to the Manager for an incredibly thoughtful gesture. We missed one of our breakfasts because we left early for a hike, and they kindly offered to replace it with dinner instead. This level of customer care really made us feel valued and is something we truly appreciated. The hotel is peaceful and quiet, making it the perfect place to relax by the pool after a long day exploring Madeira's hiking trails. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, relaxing, and welcoming hotel in Madeira.

Stayed here for my birthday from 5th -12th July. Hotel is Fantastic, Modern, Clean & the rooms are spacious & well equipped!! We booked half- board & weren't disappointed as the breakfast was superb, dinner was the same with plenty of selection for all tastebuds. The best for me were the staff who were Exceptional, friendly and very professional. The outdoor pool sunbathing area is great with plenty of sunlounges. There were a few guests who would be up early with their towels to grab the fav spot. Hotel is 30mins walk from the centre of Funchal, Reids hotel is a 10min walk, their afternoon tea is superb. Book a tut-tut for a tour around Funchal & the tropical gardens. The cable car is a breathtaking view, and the sled ride is great fun. Exceptional stay!! Would definitely recommend!!

Our stay at Allegro Madeira was absolutely wonderful. The room was spacious and offered plenty of amenities, making our stay extremely comfortable. The staff were incredibly kind, professional, and always greeted everyone with a warm smile. We especially remember Manager Elsa very fondly — an exceptionally patient, empathetic, and caring person who makes the welcoming atmosphere of this place even more special. Her dedication and positive energy truly stood out and made our experience unforgettable. The breakfasts were delicious, and the room service meals arrived impressively fast. We also highly recommend visiting the rooftop bar 🥂 We genuinely felt relaxed and well taken care of throughout our entire stay, and we would gladly return in the future. Highly recommended!

The location is nice, most of the staff are nice, and for the most part this hotel is ok. BUT the soundproofing is very bad — we could hear everything. There is a construction site outside, two dogs barking all the time, and cars and buses driving by. None of this is really the hotel’s fault, but we can still hear it all, and I honestly believe they have used cheap materials for the soundproofing. To top it off, they have a rooftop bar that plays live music until 23:00, and it feels like being right there. It is impossible to sleep until it’s over. I even tested my earplugs with noise canceling and I could still hear the live music from the rooftop bar. You can also hear everything happening in the hallway, even several floors up or down. The “funny” part is that I have bad hearing. If this had not been such a big problem, I probably would not have cared as much about all the other small issues with the hotel. When we arrived, two of our towels were dirty and had makeup and what looked like snot on them, almost like they had not been changed from the previous guests. The shower floor does not have the proper slope, so the water does not drain properly and there is always a puddle inside the shower, it becomes super slippery. There is black mold on the silicone inside the shower and also on the silicone in front of the shower. We were on the tenth floor, and our friends on the eighth floor had the same problem with water puddle in the shower. The water pressure at the hotel is poor, and the system isn’t scaled for it's size. We ordered the ocean view, but only half of the view actually faces the ocean — the rest faces the city and the construction site. Other than the towel situation, the room was for the most part clean, but there was some food under the bed from previous guests. The breakfast was ok, and the facilities were ok. We asked the lady at the front desk to arrange a transfer to the airport the day before we left for 14:30, but instead she booked it for 02:30 at night, and we were woken up by a call from the front desk in the middle of the night. If you are sensitive to noise, value your sleep, and want to get up early to explore Madeira, then this is not the hotel for you. If you like to party and do not care about the noise, then you will probably be fine. We will not stay at this hotel again.

Velice příjemný personál. Slečny na recepci vždy vyšli vstříc. Velice ochotné. Pokoj byl s výhledem na moře, pokoj byl čistý, postel pohodlná. Snídaně a večeře byly výborné, každý den jiný typ jídla. Vřele doporučuji navštívit tento hotel.
