Hotel Paradisus La Perla – Adults Only – Riviera Maya

Just got home from our first visit. Definitely disappointed with the experience. We stayed in the reserve for our anniversary for 5 days. First we were constantly being asked to go see this person and that person. Had to sit for hour and a half sales pitch about purchasing their club status. Then got shuffled to go see someone to buy excursions. There were a bunch of people selling goods down the hall where the buffets are and each one asked you to buy something every time you walked by. Not very relaxed. Our room: room was nice and big. The bed was really comfortable. There was a weird musty smell in there that all our clothes smelled like when we got home. The food: the buffet was just ok. Blue agave was just ok. All the tortilla chips at every restaurant was stale. A lot of items seemed stale. We had hibachi our second night and a cockroach ran across the table. Sante the reserve restaurant has phenomenal steak tacos. Sal the steak house was amazing. Our concierge was nice. She did forget to book us for the cenote excursion on our anniversary and that was a mess and she didn’t even apologize. All the servers were very nice. I did notice that even though we got premium spirits with the reserve package, none of the bartenders gave it unless you asked specifically.

We were here for a conference. Compared to other all inclusives, the food was outstanding. The service and staff were excellent. We loved the adult/children separation. There was a variety of activities. There were several pools with different vibes to choose from. The room service option was appreciated and not outrageous. Because Sometimes you just want to chill.

- Concierge person was absolutely useless. Called her for something. She eventually showed up to my room HOURS LATER.- Refrigerator was broken, took 4 hours to get someone to replace it. One worker said they came by to fix it but couldn't come in because of privacy and the other worker conflicted him in the same breath saying that for a work order of course they are allowed in. Long hot day... no cold drinks until HOURS later.- Shower head and wand were both spitting out water at the same time. Tried to stop it on my own and I couldn't. Eventually a worker had to come to fix it. Which means even more time with workers in my "vacation suite". Worker fixes the water from shooting out from both areas. I test the shower wand in front of him and it STILL doesn't work. He needed to go get a piece and return to replace that as well. More time with workers in my vacation suite. Finally fixed the shower.- Called the front desk to let them know that the room I was in wasn't ready for guests and to move me to another room. Simple request. It's slow season and the hotel is NOWHERE NEAR CAPACITY. I thought it was a simple request. Honestly I just wanted to switch rooms so that I didn't have to deal with something else breaking and having MORE WORKERS IN MY VACATION SUITE FOR HOURS.Front desk tells me I need to speak to my concierge. WE WENT IN CIRCLES FOR ABOUT AN HOUR FOR A RESOLUTION. ALL TOGETHER I HAD WORKERS IN AND OUT OF MY ROOM AND PHONE CALLS AND VISITS FROM STAFF AND THE MANAGER FOR ABOUT 8 HOURS ACROSS THE DAY on my very first day in my "LUXURY" vacation suite. Absolutely terrible.

How we loved this resort! My friend and I came here to celebrate her 30th birthday. What a good choice this resort was amongst all of our options. The service was excellent, the restaurants were delicious, the cocktails always top notch. Christian at the pool was the HIGHLIGHT of service at the whole resort. He always took such great care of us. We always were so sad when we couldn't find chairs by the main adult pool in Chris's section. Loved thus resort so much that we may be back in the fall!! Thank you paradisus!

Paradisus La Perla offers beautiful facilities, excellent restaurants, and a level of service that made our stay truly memorable. What made our experience exceptional was Jessica Avila, Assistant Director of Food & Beverage. She went above and beyond every single day to ensure everything was perfect. She was constantly checking on us, making sure every dining experience met the highest standards, and always greeted us with genuine warmth and professionalism. As someone who has spent over 35 years in the hospitality industry, I recognize exceptional service when I see it. Jessica leads by example, and her passion, attention to detail, and commitment to guest satisfaction are evident in everything she does. She is a tremendous asset to Paradisus La Perla. Thank you, Jessica, and the entire Paradisus team, for making this one of our favorite vacations. We are already looking forward to coming back.

We have stayed at a couple all inclusive hotels in Mexico and La Perla has to be our top favorite, from the beautiful aesthetic of the hotel, the indoor outdoor feeling of the property, the restaurants, the options for activities and pool locations we loved it all. The services and kindness of all the staff was beyond lovely, at restaurant Hadar our waiter Ernesto Nelvia was beyond kind and remembered us from just one interaction. We also loved every single restaurant on the property and felt that there was many options and all delicious, the buffet was also phenomenal and had a great variety. Every single staff interaction was always beyond pleasant and so friendly which I think speaks volumes for the business. One thing we also noticed was how clean the whole property was kept, you could see the care and love everyone felt for the establishment. We also loved the coffee bar and the ice cream bar and the koi fish that were well taken care of all around the property. The pools also were beautiful with enough seating and even a separate quiet pool for days where you wanted less noise. There was not one thing I would change about our stay. It truly was a special time. Also another point to note the hotel also had SPF at the towel collection areas which was a first we have seen and very kind for those who needed.
