We’ve had the best time here, in particular thanks to Johana, Cynthia and Stephanie in the entertainment team and Genny in the Tucan lobby bar. Always happy to see us, ask how our trip is going and have really made this holiday fantastic. There’s plenty to do across the resort and the facilities are great. Yes some of the rooms do need upgrading but you’ll spend most of it outside and the beds are extremely comfortable (ask for the super king size if staying in a couple). The hotel is closing for a full renovation to update the rooms in May 2026 for 6 months, some rooms have been upgraded already. Food and drinks have been plentiful and good quality, definitely book the Japanese restaurant for the theatre of it too. The grounds and wildlife are a great addition, flamingoes, coati and of course the peacocks roaming around sets this resort apart from others I have stayed in Playa Car previously. I’d definitely return.

In general, the hotel is not new, but it is closing for renovation, I think it will be something interesting. The hotel area is very beautiful, well-kept, very unique. The hotel staff was particularly disappointing. I really wanted to trust the staff, but they in turn allow themselves to walk into your room when you're on the beach and drink your alcohol from the minibar. Of course, the manager apologized, but the experience is ruined forever. And plus the most salty food possible. I don't know if it's the local culture or if we're so "lucky"

Het is een rustig hotel ondanks de ontzettend vele animatie. Soms harde muziek. We hebben ons prima vermaakt. Veel personeel doet er alles aan het je naar de zin te maken. Fietstour in Playa is leuk. Schildpadden spotten en Rio Secreto ( foto's belachelijk duur, niet gedaan )ook de moeite waard. Wij zijn niet gewend overal en voor alles geld neer te leggen als fooi. Dat voelde soms ongemakkelijk

The hotel is good when it comes to the rooms – they were always very clean and well maintained. The area around the hotel is absolutely beautiful and breathtaking. A big plus for cleaning the seaweed on the beach every day. Unfortunately, the service is very inconsistent. Some staff members are friendly and helpful, but others are quite unpleasant – even tipping doesn’t always make a difference. I also noticed that the quality of drinks depends on tips – when you tip, better alcohol is used, but without tips they use the cheapest options, making the drinks almost undrinkable. The lady at the beach snack bar was particularly unfriendly and didn’t follow proper hygiene standards (handling food with bare hands), which completely put us off eating there. Another downside is the pushy reception staff, who try very hard to sell the loyalty program. Even though we clearly indicated during online check-in that we were not interested, the topic kept coming back. What’s worse, staff entered our room under the pretense of “program benefits,” leaving things like champagne, bathrobes, slippers, and hats – despite us not agreeing to join. On the positive side, the food was excellent – the Italian cuisine was delicious, and the Japanese restaurant was a very enjoyable experience.

Vraiment déçu. Nous avons passé 10 jours. Les draps ont été changés après 7 jrs vu que j'ai dû intervenir pour le faire faire. Nourriture vraiment ordinaire ou pas fraîche. Service n est vraiment pas un 5 étoiles. Plusieurs problématiques avec les services sur place. Après 3 jours, plus aucun singe et les animaux baissaient en quantité chaque jours. Les plages peu ou pas entretenues par l'hôtel.. activités ou spectacles sur le site vraiment amateur ou très peu intéressant. Je ne recommande pas ce lieu de vacances pour la somme demandée

Nuestra experiencia fue simplemente espectacular. Desde el primer momento se nota la calidad del hotel: las instalaciones impecables, la playa hermosa y bien cuidada, la variedad gastronómica y el entorno natural que lo hace distinto a otros resorts de la zona. Pero lo que realmente marcó la diferencia fue la atención de Luis Gómez, quien en todo momento estuvo atento a cada detalle, siempre con una sonrisa y una amabilidad genuina que se siente. Su predisposición, calidez y profesionalismo hicieron que nuestra estadía fuera aún más especial. Es el tipo de persona que realmente entiende lo que significa el servicio al cliente y supera expectativas.
