Appalling management and unprofessional behavior – Avoid at all costs. I strongly advise against staying at this property. My experience at the So Sotogrande was marred by chaotic operational management that borders on dishonesty. The facts: Pre-payment ignored: My stay was booked and pre-paid via the ALL app. During check-out, the agent confirmed the payment, yet they refused to return my €100 security deposit, citing a "power failure" at 6:10 AM. Baseless accusations: Nine hours later, I received a WhatsApp message falsely accusing me of leaving without paying and claiming they were withholding my deposit. Unjustified pressure: Despite providing proof of payment via the official ALL app (clearly marked as "Paid"), the staff refused to accept it as valid and forced me to disclose personal bank statements. Lack of accountability: Only after I provided my bank statements did they finally admit their mistake. There was not a single apology for accusing me of attempting to skip the bill, nor for the intrusive demands. Furthermore, the agent refused to provide their name. Conclusion: This level of incompetence is unacceptable for a hotel of this standing. The handling of security deposits appears opaque and highly suspicious. Accusing a guest of bad faith when the error lies entirely with the hotel’s internal processes is disgraceful. If you value professionalism and transparency, look elsewhere.

My husband and I spent five days at the SO/ Sotogrande and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel grounds are beautiful, absolutely spotless, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. The à la carte breakfast was incredibly delicious, and our server, Kati, anticipated our every need. I especially enjoyed the daily fitness classes with Jesús—they were intense, effective, and a lot of fun. All in all, a dream vacation.

Excelente estancia en SO/ Sotogrande. El hotel y sus instalaciones están muy bien cuidados, con un alto nivel de servicio en todos los aspectos. Destacamos especialmente la atención al cliente, la limpieza, la gestión de reservas, el spa, el gimnasio y la experiencia de golf, todo ello acompañado por un personal profesional, amable y atento. También vale la pena probar Cortijo, que ofrece una experiencia gastronómica muy agradable. Una estancia muy recomendable. ★★★★★

Dining at Cortijo at SO/ Sotogrande was an absolute delight from start to finish. The moment we arrived, the staff , Diego, Arantxa, Jose and Sergio, greeted us with warm smiles and genuine hospitality that set the tone for the evening. Every team member was attentive, professional, and clearly passionate about what they do. The food was nothing short of outstanding. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. You could taste the freshness and quality of every ingredient. The Pechuga de pichón was a standout, perfectly cooked and balanced with just the right mix of textures . All staff were fantastic, offering thoughtful recommendations(Pavlova De Cereza) and checking in just enough to make sure everything was perfect. The combination of incredible food and genuinely caring staff made this one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time.

Un véritable coup de cœur ! Nous avons savouré chaque instant dans cet hôtel où tout semble pensé pour offrir une parenthèse hors du temps. Impossible de partir sans remercier chaleureusement la formidable équipe du SO/Sotogrande — mention spéciale aux meseros du Cortijo, à la formidable Alina d’Ixo, ainsi qu’aux pétillantes Cathy et Maria José, reines incontestées du petit-déjeuner ! Le tout baigné dans un fond musical discret, éclectique et particulièrement bien choisi, qui rend hommage aux racines andalouses sans jamais tomber dans le cliché. Une atmosphère élégante, apaisante et authentique. What else? Nous reviendrons !

Un plaisir d’être revenu en famille dans cet établissement à taille humaine, si charmant, tout est parfait au So Sotogrande, un spot entouré d’une magnifique végétation, les chambres sont sublimes, les piscines superbes. Un bonheur de pouvoir se rendre au spa avec nos enfants la matinée. La nourriture est excellente. Merci à l’équipe d’animations pour la qualité des activités proposées, de votre investissement avec nos enfants que ce soit au kids club ou à la pisicine famille et toujours avec le sourire ! Nous reviendrons c’est certain !
