Wir waren im März zu Gast im Hotel Costa Calero. Die Anlage an sich ist wirklich wunderschön, allerdings hat uns die extrem ausgeprägte Zweiklassengesellschaft im Haus den Urlaub sehr vermiest. Im 21. Jahrhundert sollte so eine strikte und sichtbare Trennung der Gäste wirklich nicht mehr zeitgemäß sein. 🤞🏼 Besonders geärgert haben uns folgende Punkte: > Restaurant & Bar: Abends an der Bar wird die Trennung durch rote Kordeln und Teppiche für den „Prestige“-Bereich extrem zur Schau gestellt. Im Restaurant war der normale Speisesaal komplett überfüllt und wir mussten warten, während der Prestige-Bereich halb leer blieb. Flexibilität im Sinne der wartenden Gäste gab es leider erst zum Ende hin. > Spa-Bereich: Obwohl es sich um ein Wellnesshotel handelt, durften wir das Schwimmbecken im Spa während des gesamten Aufenthalts nur ein einziges Mal für 2 Stunden kostenlos nutzen. > Pool/Außenbereich: Selbst bei den Sonnenliegen gibt es extra abgetrennte Bereiche. Am Ende fühlt man sich als normaler Gast zweiter Klasse, obwohl jeder für seinen Urlaub bezahlt. Schade, das nimmt dem ansonsten schönen Hotel jeglichen Wohlfühlfaktor.

Just got back from a week all inclusive after having not been to the hotel for 19 years. The reception area is amazing, lots of places to sit. The bar was good, although sometimes quite a queue. The pools are clean and plenty of sun loungers. We didn’t get hotel towels as that needed a cash deposit, they wouldn’t accept a card. The safe in the room required a daily charge but not expensive. The reception staff were on the whole pleasant, although some were a tad blunt at times. Now for the downside…The room was shabby. Mismatched furniture (one of us had a white bedside table and the other side of the bed had a wooden one, in the same room), paint flaking off the wardrobe, dirty stains on the floor that weren’t cleaned til the last day. There was a fair few ants in the room. My son accidentally dropped a glass on the floor and we tidied it up but we’re still finding shards of glass days later even after the cleaners had been in. But that said the pools were clean, the food was great, the hotel is in a good quiet location. We used the free bus a couple of times. The hotel spa was great.

We returned last Tuesday from the Calero Talaso and Spa. What a fantastic hotel. The staff were all polite professional and work so hard. The rooms are spacious and well decorated and cleaned everyday if you require that. The 3 pools are all a nice size and there are plenty of sun loungers. The food is great and varied. We used the spa and had a 2 hour slot - amazing. After day one we upgraded to all inclusive to enhance our great experience. The hotel is in a nice location with a very short walk to the Marina. Thank you everyone at the hotel for making our stay great Gary

Muy descontenta con el trato recibido por parte de la recepción. Nada más llegar la recepcionista que estaba atendiendome ( rebeca)en mitad del check in se fue porque era su hora de irse y me deje con el chico de prácticas ( eliot) que me dió la tarjeta sin explicarme mucho más. Me siento engañada puesto que llame a recepción para contratar la cena y me dijeron que se pagaba directamente en la puerta del restaurante. El resultado he pagado 18 euros de más porque si. Me quejo y el señor de la recepción insiste en que es culpa mía. Cuando he llamado explicándo la situación. El hotel en si muy bien pero el trato en la recepción de malísima calidad. Me siento engañada.

Lovely hotel. Very clean. Great pool areas. Never struggled for a sun lounger even after being out in the mornings. Paid for a garden room, to have own sun loungers and privacy, but our room 007 had no sun till 4pm due to palm trees. Food was good quality but the mix was a little random, but in an all inclusive buffet it isn't going to be easy to cater for everyone without options. Plenty fresh fruit, meats, cheeses, salads available. Only used the pool restaurant once so can't comment really. Bar service could be slow but we went out every day & evening so didn't cause us issues. Staff were all very friendly. There were plenty activities and the show bar seemed popular, but again we didn't use it. Hotel is in a great position with just a short walk to the marina which is stunning and has a number of bars and restaurants for anyone wanting to get out. There is a hill up from the marina but this wasn't a problem. We would return.

Lovely, quiet , airy hotel in it's prime . Not new , not broken . Had significant renovation recently but kept character Up hill from small port with a market Tuesday and Thursday . Very quiet area, supermarket and coffee shop opposite From airport about 15 mins by taxi , 20 euro in summer 2026 Don't get transfer bus as they are 15 mins walk in the heat / rain from terminal and take forever Coffee . Hotel machine coffee is horrible Nescafé instant stuff. They show beans on top , but they are just for show ! Ask for expresso de machine , and you will get a fresh barrister expresso you can add hot water and milk to .unfortunately only horrible machines for breakfast It's a two class hotel though For instance, you qué a lot at bars due to lack of staff , but "prestige" , can jump que. Prestige + , gets free access to spa / gym . Having to carry card key all the time to get food / drink is a pain , would be nice to have wrist band
