We have just came back from our holiday at this hotel. Fist of all, wanted to mention, that we were very scared about the bug (people being sick ) from reading all the reviews. We were washing our hands and sanitising after touching everything especially during meal times and thankfully never had a problem . However, a few people who we met did get sick. The hotel itself is beautiful and very clean. Staff is doing an amazing job and we constantly saw people cleaning. Rooms were cleaned every day too. Food was nice. Nothing special and some snacks and salads were veeeeery questionable. Kids had pasta/pizza everyday. I would say breakfasts are the best, lunches were not nice at all and dinners were decent. I was very disappointed to find out that kids pool is located on very top floor and there is no lift to the kids pool. My little girl is 2 and honestly, by the time we got the pool no one really wanted anything. Also, snack bar is located by the adult pool, so if we wanted to get anything ( or our son) we had to go through many steps every time. There is not much entertainment for the kids at all. Tiny playground ( again, located on the very top floor) and mini disco for 30 min. Dinner starts at 18:30 and mini disco at 19:00 so we had to be very quick with our dinner to get there in time for mini disco. Hotel is located on the cliff and we used taxi to get down to the beach. Me and my kids got ill with cold during our stay and I couldn’t enjoy it to be fair but we did have a decent time. I would say choose something else if you have young kids as there is not much to do and pool location was very annoying. This hotel is okay, amazing views, good service but not for kids. Also, I wanted to mention, we have paid €85 for private transfer back to the airport and it was old white car with dirty seats. Honestly, we thought we will pay for better service but I wish we just got on Tui bus as all I wanted is to wash myself after this car. Waisted our money.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ **Another fantastic RIU holiday – possibly our favourite yet!** We've stayed at several RIU hotels over the years, and I can honestly say RIU Vistamar is as good as, if not the best, we've visited. The first thing that hits you is the view. The photos don't do it justice, the views from the hotel are absolutely to die for and something we'll remember for a long time. The food was exceptional. There was an incredible choice every day at both lunch and dinner, including a wide selection of freshly cooked meats, fish, pasta dishes and handmade pizzas. We never struggled to find something we enjoyed and the quality was consistently excellent. The poolside restaurant was also brilliant for lunch and snacks. The drinks were all branded and were available all day throughout the hotel, and there was never a shortage of choice, from a selection of coffees to a glass of prosecco. Every member of staff we came across was friendly, but a special mention goes to the reception team who were always so welcoming, helpful and happy to answer any questions. There was no mad rush at 7:30am for the sunbeds and the pool areas didn't really start getting busy until around 9:00am, so finding sunbeds was very easy. The entertainment was enjoyable without being over the top. Everything finished by around 10:30pm, which meant the hotel stayed peaceful during the evenings and we all had a good night's sleep. If you do fancy staying up later, the Sports Bar is open 24 hours a day and had a lovely atmosphere for a late drink. **The RIU Party deserves a special mention because it was absolutely incredible.** From the moment we arrived the atmosphere was electric. The music was brilliant, the dance floor was packed all night and the beer, cocktail and prosecco bars were fully stocked and ready to go from the start. It was one of the best organised hotel events we've ever experienced. Even our two daughters, aged 15 and 17, both said it was the best night out they've ever had, which says everything. It really is another fantastic part of the RIU experience and something we would highly recommend to anyone staying at the hotel. The rooms were comfortable and kept spotlessly clean every day by the housekeeping team. They're perhaps starting to look a little dated, but that certainly didn't affect our stay. One thing to be aware of is that the hotel is built high into the cliff side. There are plenty of lifts and stairs to reach the restaurants and pool areas, so it's worth considering if anyone in your party has mobility issues. The free shuttle bus down to the beach was excellent and made getting down to the seafront really easy. Overall, we had a brilliant holiday from start to finish. Fantastic food, amazing staff, breathtaking views, plenty of branded drinks and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. RIU has done it again, and we wouldn't hesitate to return. Highly recommended!

El baño de la habitación tenía el techo completamente empapado, unas humedades horribles con muchísimo olor. Las vistas de la habitación eran unas redes en el acantilado. Todo el hotel está anticuado. La infraestructura del hotel es un despropósito, pocos ascensores para todas las plantas que hay. Estábamos en la planta 1, casi imposible pillar un ascensor para subir a la planta 8, donde estaba la recepción y desde dónde se iba a todos lados, teatro, buffet (había luego que bajar unas escaleras), restaurante japonés (había que pillar otro ascensor para bajar después), piscina (había que subir a la planta 9 y desde allí seguir subiendo hasta 3 plantas para llegar a la última piscina (la de niños), hay 3 piscinas y cada una en una planta diferente). La comida estaba bien, aunque había más comida en la cena que en el almuerzo. La animación malísima, tanto para niños como para adultos.

We had an amazing week at Riu Vistamar! The views are even more beautiful than the photos show, which made our stay extra special. Our room was cleaned every single day, and even though there wasn’t an iron in the room, the cleaning staff kindly provided one for us when we asked. The food was excellent, with plenty of variety every day and something to suit everyone’s taste. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommended hotel!

We have not long returned from a week away with our nearly 2year old daughter (20month old). We had a fantastic time! The views were breathtaking! There was a variety of foods offered at meal times. We did try the asian restaurant and enjoyed that too. The staff was all lovely, very friendly and interacted with our toddler which she loved. Every query was resolved rapidly. The cleaners go above and beyond. We actually seen a member of the cleaning team on his hands and knees scrubbing the grooves/grid in the lift with a toothbrush! You are close to the Europa shopping centre should you wish to leave the hotel. We went to the beach and used the free bus directly outside of the hotel doors. Our only downside was the lack of sun loungers available on all pools (you had to be early). The childrens pool being harder to access than the other pools (going up multiple flights of stairs with a pram proved difficult at times). The childrens pool is also alot colder than the other 2 pools. There’s no balls allowed in the pool or inflatables. I would say it would be hard to leave the hotel if you were in a wheelchair as it would be all uphill. Maybe in future a lift could be installed to get to the top? (To where the football & volleyball nets are?). The entertainment room wasn’t big enough when at full capacity so alot of people where standing and crowded and it made manoeuvring with a toddler difficult. We went out most evenings to the local irish bar due to this. Apart from these minor issues the experience was faultless. Thank you for an excellent stay, we will be back 😊

Nous avons passé un bon séjour dans l’ensemble. L’hôtel bénéficie d’un emplacement magnifique en haut de la falaise avec une vue exceptionnelle. Cependant quelques points à améliorer : - navettes vers la plage appréciables mais en prévoir un peu plus tard dans la journée -Les animations sont très peu variées. Sur un séjour de 2semaines,les animations sont les mêmes - Les buffets sont répétitifs et manquent d’options sans lactose (très difficile de trouver des alternatives adaptées pour le déjeuner,en charcuterie,fromages,desserts,produits de substitution -Beaucoup d’escaliers (mais on le sait)
