This hotel is a slice of paradise!! I have stayed in countless places worldwide, and this has remained as easily the nicest hotel I’ve had the pleasure of staying at. The staff: so attentive & caring! I felt so well-cared for, looked after, and that nothing was a problem for the staff to solve. The staff knowing who you are as you arrive? An excellent touch! The small chats as you pass through reception? Lovely! The service during breakfast, lunch, dinner? Superb! The rooms: perfectly maintained! I’d recommend the rooms 230-235 as these look back on the pool and out to the mountains and the view is SO GOOD. On my second stay we were offered a room that looked the other direction, and it was still great but it didn’t feel the same as our previous stay. We asked if we could move rooms and to the wonderful staff, it wasn’t a problem. The beds are comfy, the balconies are great, and the bathrooms are perfect. The AC is also excellent. The food: excellent! Being vegan wasn’t an issue - there were countless options every day including vegan croissants (!!). There are also many options nearby too, including a lovely vegan restaurant a few minutes walk away. The live entertainment during dinner is classy, calming, and sets an excellent atmosphere. The location: nice! The waterfront is very touristy, but the hotel feels secluded and relaxing with little noise from the surrounding area. There is no on-site parking (although they have some sort of deal with the shopping center over the road, and the parking for hotel guests is very cheap. It is easily accessible by road, and I’d recommend guests get a hire car from either the airport or nearby to the hotel to enjoy the viewpoints around the island. I’ll happily return here in the future!

Mixed experience: Great location and breakfast, but highly unprofessional front desk service Great location near the beach and a late-night supermarket. The rooms were clean despite the older building. The gentleman serving breakfast was incredibly kind and welcoming every morning. However, the check-in and room service experience was highly unprofessional. Upon arrival, a front desk staff member made an inappropriate and discriminatory gesture towards us as Asian guests. This was deeply offensive and completely unacceptable for a hotelier. Additionally, the TV in our room was broken(Netflix didn’t work). After two failed technical attempts, we requested a room change. The female staff member on duty was dismissive and unhelpful, only changing her attitude after the technical issue was officially confirmed. We wasted over an hour resolving this and had to move our own luggage without receiving any apology. While some employees were wonderful, the unprofessional behavior of the front desk staff significantly ruined our overall stay.

We are just home from a fantastic trip staying at Hotel Colon Guanahani. This hotel is like a breath of fresh air where you can relax and recharge your batteries. The pros of this hotel are: the staff, the rooms, the location and its cleanliness. The cleaning staff need to be praised as everywhere was spotless and the rooms were cleaned to such a high standard. There wasn’t an insect insight! The cons of this hotel: the food. We had stayed for breakfast & dinner but ended up only eating in three nights out of seven. It was just average. The food hygiene level was excellent and there was plenty of choice, but we just felt the quality of the food wasn’t high enough. The sauna and the roof top pool was out of order during our whole stay which was disappointing. We would definitely come back on a breakfast only basis as it was peaceful and relaxing. A big shout out to all the staff who were so friendly and helpful. Thank you!

Nous avons séjourné dans cet hôtel avec beaucoup d’attentes, mais nous en repartons finalement déçus. L’emplacement est un vrai point fort : proche de la promenade en bord d’océan, des restaurants et des commerces. La chambre était spacieuse, avec une belle vue mer, et les repas (midi et soir) étaient globalement excellents, avec un bon petit déjeuner varié. Nous tenons également à remercier chaleureusement certains membres du personnel, notamment Joana, Damaris ainsi que Jessica au SPA pour son excellent massage. Un grand merci aussi à Maria José pour son professionnalisme et son aide précieuse avant notre arrivée. Malheureusement, plusieurs points importants viennent gâcher l’expérience. L’accueil à la réception a été froid, aussi bien à l’arrivée qu’au départ, sans sourire ni réel intérêt pour notre séjour. L’ambiance générale de l’hôtel est extrêmement calme, voire trop : aucune musique en journée et une atmosphère assez figée. Les espaces intérieurs (restaurant et bar) sont peu chaleureux, sans décoration, avec une ambiance qui rappelle davantage un réfectoire qu’un hôtel 4 étoiles. Les animations du soir sont peu agréables, notamment à cause d’un volume sonore excessif. Autre point négatif : les transats sont censés ne pas être réservés, mais dans les faits, certains clients les monopolisent dès le matin sans aucune intervention du personnel. Le service de ménage manque également de rigueur : passages très tardifs, parfois oubliés, et certains détails négligés comme le cendrier de la terrasse non vidé pendant plusieurs jours. Enfin, attention lors de la réservation : le site peut laisser penser à une formule “all inclusive”, alors qu’il s’agit en réalité d’une pension complète, avec les boissons non incluses. En résumé, cet hôtel conviendra sans doute aux personnes recherchant un calme absolu, mais il ne correspond pas à nos attentes et ne justifie pas, selon nous, son classement 4 étoiles. Nous ne reviendrons pas.

Wir waren in diesem Hotel und können leider diese positiven Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen! Sind diese gekauft? Für 4 Sterne Hotel und dann auch noch in der dieser gehobenen Preisklasse müssen wir leider sagen kommen wir nicht wieder, Gründe:  Alle Fußböden im Außenbereich des Hotels z.B. an den Pools sind bei Nässe extrem glatt, wir selbst und weitere Personen sind gestürzt!  Alle Pools sehr abgenutzt, es fehlt überall Farbe, Fließen sind im Pool locker und das schlimmste, er ist dreckig, er wird nicht täglich gereinigt, es gibt tausende Haare und Moos setzt sich an den Ecken fest, Dreck, etc.  Wir sind im Pool gestürzt, weil einfach die Stufen beim Einstieg nicht erkennbar mehr sind.  Die Zimmer und vor allem das Bad ist stark abgewohnt, vor allem das Bad entspricht max. 2 Sterne! Wie kann so ein Hotel 4 Sterne bekommen??? Wir waren schon in vielen anderen 4 Sterne Hotels die Günstiger waren und um Welten besser! Das Bad ist auch überall voller Schimmel! Türen knarren. Und die Zimmer riechen trotz Lüften muffig, wir bekamen dadurch Halsschmerzen.  Zimmer sind sehr hellröhrig, man hört den Nachbar beim Schnarchen.  Außenbereich und Hotel ist stark renovierungsbedürftig.  Liegen werden zwar abgedeckt aber auch hier überall Schimmel und auch an den Sonnenschirmen. Sehr positiv mit 5 Sterne Niveau:  Extrem freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal, vor allem im Restaurant.  Wir hatten Halbpension, das Essen war Frühs und abends sehr gut, frisch und lecker, auch optisch sehr gut!

Superbe expérience, hôtel magnifique, ambiance calme, animation avec chanteur/ chanteuse, saxophoniste,violoncelliste,guitare au moment des repas, et une fois au bord de la piscine. Hôtel près de la promenade et de la plage. La piscine sur le toit est top, nous étions peu nombreux même vers 16h ou 18h, toujours des transats de disponibles. Notre chambre 4ème étage C vue sur les piscines et mer était spacieuse avec balcon. Idéal pour se reposer, profiter, au calme. Buffet varié excellent, personnels adorables et bienveillant, merci à eux. Séjour du 13 au 19 août 2026
