H10 Big Sur

Mi estancia en el H10 Big Sur ha sido una gran decepción y, desde luego, no volveré ni lo recomendaría. Lo más grave fue que desaparecieron 100 € en efectivo que tenía guardados en la caja fuerte de la habitación. Informé inmediatamente en recepción y la única solución que me ofrecieron fue que acudiera a poner una denuncia ante la Policía, sin mostrar un interés real por investigar lo sucedido o darme alguna explicación. Además de presentar la denuncia, también interpuse la correspondiente hoja de reclamaciones. La comida deja mucho que desear. Hay muy poca variedad y está claramente enfocada al turismo extranjero (ingleses, alemanes, etc.), dejando muy pocas opciones para el público español. Otro aspecto que me llamó la atención es que todas las actuaciones y la animación estaban exclusivamente en inglés. Entiendo que haya muchos clientes extranjeros, pero los españoles también pagamos nuestra estancia y merecemos sentirnos incluidos. El horario de la piscina también me pareció muy limitado, de 10:00 a 18:30, especialmente en un destino de playa como Tenerife. Las habitaciones son bastante básicas para la categoría y el precio del hotel. Como punto positivo, quiero destacar la amabilidad de la mayor parte del personal y, en especial, a Noelia, la camarera de pisos que atendió mi habitación la mayoría de los días. Fue muy profesional, amable y realizó un excelente trabajo. En definitiva, mi experiencia ha sido muy negativa. La falta de respuesta ante un hecho tan grave como la desaparición de dinero, unida al resto de aspectos comentados, hace que no pueda recomendar este hotel y que, por supuesto, no tenga intención de volver.

Beautiful hotel situated towards the end of the promenade of los christianos. Rooms were ok and the beds were the most comfortable I've slept in when on holiday. Staff are super friendly the place is spotless and the food was varied each day and you can get a lovely English breakfast with freshly cooked eggs and bacon ( cooked in front of you) steaks chops fish omelette and pancakes all cooked fresh too. Putting Towels on sunbeds isn't permitted and the pool doesn't open til 9:30. As the hotel is child free there's a really chilled vibe here. The rooftop terrace is available to everyone and the view is spectacular. From the poolside you can exit straight onto the promenade by the mini golf which is 2 euros for people staying at big sur instead of the usual 5 euros. Will definitely be coming back

Outstanding. I was working on a movie which required me to stay here two times, about 2-3 days apiece. I was knocked out by the courteous service and the attentive nature of the front desk clerks. All of them. I was stranded one day without a room or my driver for 5 hours, and they were completely accommodating. This I have never experienced in hotels, and I was at a fancy one in Rome that treated me like a hobo once I checked out. Not here. You can barely get hotels to store your luggage sometimes. The superb customer service is just for starters. The food is higher echelon restaurant quality, with buffets supplying you with everything. I loved the Spanish dishes, and the home-made pancakes, eggs and bacon at the breakfast grill were all divino. I gained a lot of weight. The maids were so kind and smiling. I can only imagine this is because they are happy to work in the hotel, and you can feel it in the atmosphere, in the walls. For some people, the tourist residents may seem strange, as they seem to never leave the hotel. I didn't frequent the pool area, which was popular, complete with shopping opportunities brought right to you. I found the night-time entertainment charming, definitely not too loud or obnoxious. They play covers from Elvis to John Denver to Pink Floyd. My last night the rock and pop songs ended by 11 PM. I felt safe and secure here. To leave my window open at night and hear the crashing surf is a memory I won't forget, and maybe Liz Taylor and Richard Burton, who stayed here back in 1970, appreciated the same. The promenade isn't my favorite place, so I understand many guests staying indoors here. The upstairs patio lounge is fantastic, by the way. Also, clean rooms with decent air conditioning. I hope some day to come back. Grazie tutti for everything.

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel several times and will continue to do so because we can't fault it. There is always a warm welcome. The reception, catering and cleaning staff are all very friendly and helpful. We have joined the H10 loyalty programme which has many benefits. The hotel is located in a quiet part of the town but there are shops and eateries within walking distance, and a local market twice a week. The rooms are tidied and bottled water is provided daily. The restaurant offers a good selection of food on a different theme each evening. The entertainment is enjoyable and varied. We can't wait to book our next visit!

Avis mitigé....bien placé pour prendre le bateau pour aller sur la Gomera. Chambre propre. Par contre la restauration est tout simplement à fuire ! 26€ pour des Albondigas en boîte, propreté de la presentation moyenne, un serveur qui vous apporte de l'eau filtré facturé pour de l'eau minérale et j'en passe. Bref ,je pense que c'est juste pratique pour une nuit avant départ. Valerie ☹️

Our sixth visit and not the last. We still love it that much! A few changes in the last six months,(first noticeable thing was that there was no welcome drink on arrival), and some new members of staff who perhaps aren’t as great with customer care skills as the majority of staff members but I’m sure they’ll improve. A big shout out to Deborah in the restaurant who’s naturally pleasant and lovely, Jesus on reception whose English is superb and so much better than my dire attempts at Spanish. Lovely to see my dear friend Monica in Housekeeping on 6th floor and the gorgeous Veronica on the 5th floor. What a great job they do! Laura also does a great job in animation but it’s much too noisy for me I’m afraid. The noise at the aquarobics made my ears bleed 🤦‍♀️. Food was not always as good as it’s always been in previous years with many dishes luke warm but desserts were great and so was the fabulous Sushi display. Bar snacks were as fabulous as ever and the staff there at the pool bar wonderful, as always. Romantica agents supplying the entertainment need a bit of a reprimand, changing acts at the last minute and letting down the hotel and guests. We LOVE The Pioneers and were so looking forward to the Mowtown night but it was changed at the last minute to a Cuban group which was really disappointing. Overall, a few tiny negatives that certainly didn’t put us off coming again. I always forget to ask what the gorgeous smell is in the reception area… if I can buy it I’d have it sprayed all over my whole house to remind me of my favourite hotel ☺️
